San Tomas Aquino Creek Trailhead

It's a small playground, small grass area, several benches, a few picnic tables and a nice clean restroom. Has access to some walking trails that I did not go on.

Note: During September, 2023, the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail will be closed for maintenance between Scott Boulevard and Agnew Rd. There aren't great detours for this segment. You can cross 101 on Bowers/Great America Parkway or make other plans.

This trailhead is at the south end of the best part of the trail. With Eddie Souza Park, it makes a good place to start if you're not within biking distance or to meet others to walk or bike the trail.

As of August 2023, park restrooms and drinking fountain have finally reopened.

Best bike ride. Takes you past the Levi’s stadium and you can enter the park or lake. Its a beautiful lake and you can ride around it watching the ducks. I did see a coyote once. No restrooms here

South Gate leading to San Francisco Bay Trail - connecting Santa Clara to FIVE cities (Palo Alto ~ Fremont), all dedicated recreation trail and free from vehicle traffic.

Today, visited San Thomas Aquino Creek on Monroe street and I am thrilled to know that it joins San Francisco Bay. Very well maintained location at trail head and a beautiful paved road by the side of creek. USA is a beautiful & big country with many places to visit.

I love this bike trail and it goes all the way to sunnyvale baylands for about 6 miles. The start of the trail has free parking. My only complaint is that you need to watch for Cara who beat the light at Monroe when you crossing the green light.

Nice bike, walk, run trail that goes right past Levi stadium. Well maintained and safe from traffic. Beautiful scenery. I saw a large pod of white pelicans on the water.

This trail is perfect for me and my family. We feel safe and confidently we will walk/run this any day. The only times we have felt unsure is when the trail is completely dark, and that is probably nothing to do with the trail, but hey, I got to say it. =)

This place seems completely safe, it has plenty of bathrooms and plenty of parking.

Long trail or walking or biking. May not be the best on a hot day as there is very little shade. Can walk all the way past the stadium

I use this trail almost everyday for office commute.. very serene and beautiful

Great trail for biking, walking, and running. Nicely paved and kept up and goes right by the Levi’s stadium.

This trail is great with the creek alongside you the entire time. It's always fun. To see a duck in the middle of this very urban/industrial area.

Thank you for the city of Santa Clara for opening the first Community Garden! It's beautiful. The children play structures are awesome 😃
