EF International Language Campus - English courses in Santa Barbara

I had a great time at EF Santa Barbara! The EF staff is so kindle and awesome, and they’re there to help you at anytime! The building is good enough, without being huge. All the classrooms look nice and all of the teachers are good at teaching English, using prepared material to study. You can walk a short distance from the building to the main stores and restaurants because it’s well located. The longer you stay, the more you’ll miss this place, just as I did.

EF Santa Barbara is the ideal home away from home for both students, teachers and staff here in Santa Barbara. The city is wonderful. Fortunately the school is placed in an incredibly strategic location very close to State Street and many major attractions. Moreover, everyone here is so nice and helpful, I’ve loved working here and being part of the team. At the end of the day, though, it’s the students that make this experience so amazing, and we couldn’t ask for better ones here. Definitely one of the best schools in the EF network, and Santa Barbara is an absolutely amazing place to live!

I spent three weeks of my summer vacation at the EF Santa Barbara School and was very happy that my parents allowed me to spend my time there. In my opinion there is nothing better than spending the summer in California while enjoying your time at the beach (while learning English :D). There are many add-ins that you can book too. I took part at the Las Vegas tour and explored the Grand Canyon. Sleeping at the residence was no problem too. It was clean and there was a pool only for EF students.

I've been in Santa Barbara together with EF since September 2022, and I've really enjoyed my stay there! The teachers and staff are very professional and teach us students valuable things, both in general English and the SPIN-classes. I would highly recommend this school, both for the school itself but also the city of Santa Barbara. You're close to both shopping and beautiful beaches, and if you would like to get a college-feeling you can just head down to the college and walk around, watch games and hang out there!

EF is awesome! The experience they provide for the students that come to Santa Barbara is amazing. Not only are the students learning the language, they are able to build beautiful forever friendships with their classmates as well as their host families. We have hosted well over 200 students on and off over the years and the experiences have been life changing. Many students return to visit, and many times with extended family & friends! We highly recommend EF!

I was from September 2020 until December 2020 at EF Santa Barbara as a student. It was a really nice time. I‘ll never foget it and I’m sure I‘ll go someday back for visit. The school is so familiar, the EF Staff are very helpful, in each situation you can go and ask for help. I really recommend this place and school! A big Thank you to EF Santa Barbara!

I have instructed at EF Santa Barbara for about 1.5 years now and I love it! The campus is nice, the students are wonderful and my colleagues are kind and knowledgeable, with a great academic director (Julie N.). It has been the first job I've worked, where I did not want to quit.

The only downside is, sometimes student enrollment can drop, which means classes can get cut... This will affect the number of hours you can work...

The EF language school in Santa Barbara, which I visited for a 3-week English course, definitely deserves praise. The professionals involved in teaching were extremely accommodating and committed to our progress. We learned in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which made the lessons very effective. The atmosphere was also pleasant and the groups were tailored for each level. As a participant, I can say that my English skills and proficiency have improved significantly, and the professional service and support from the staff made my experience truly memorable. I would recommend this language school to anyone looking to increase their English language skills.

The management and staff are caring and committed to helping the students find housing and seeing that they are taken care of. As a host I’m always surprised at how quick they are to answer any questions I have or to respond to any communication. They also know what is the situation with the hosts and students and it never feels like you’re “just a number”. I like my students too. They are nice and polite always.

EF Santa Barbara is so amazing my experience with it is so good i have such a cool host-family. I’m really Enjoying my time here. Amazing school situated in the heart of Santa Barbara, super close to downtown with shopping and restaurants. Because of Santa Barbara being such a small town it is easy to get around and I always felt safe when walking on my own.
I studied at the school for 9 months when I was 17 years old. It was an amazing experience with competent and funny teachers which made the school day pass by in no time but while learning a lot.
The staff at the school was very good at making me feel secure and I knew I always could go and talk to whoever I needed to talk to, no matter what it was about.
I would recommend everyone to attend this school.

Really nice school with amazing staff and super motivating teachers! It's a few blocks away from the absolute center of Santa Barbara, but definitely walking distance. Fairly close to the bus station as well (2-3 blocks). The school itself consists of two buildings, with classrooms and other areas in both. This, and the yard, makes it rather spread out, so there is always a place to take it easy, and always a place where there is more going on, which is nice. My experience in Santa Barbara was truly great, and I can warmly recommend it to anyone that's about to travel abroad!

The school is located near the beach and downtown SB. Therefore, you can always find what to do after school! I met a lot of people from different countries, and it is really good opportunities not only to study English but also to know a lot of different people and their cultures. I am totally satisfied with my trip with EF Santa Barbara!
