Gen Korean BBQ House

Throughly enjoyed our meal here. The seating is more of communal style so expect to share your table with others. We didn’t mind. But just something to note. Although unlimited the portion sizes are rather small so I would suggest you order a lot at once if you’re n a big group or you’ll keep running out of food like we did. Also I felt like there was limited appetizer options as opposed to other Gen Z spots I’ve been to but the few we did try (Korean fried chicken) were pretty good.

The meal was delicious. here they give you two hours and you can order whatever you want. You can order 4 dishes per table at a time. for lunch one price and menu, 20 dollars per person, for dinner 30 dollars per person. This is quite enough, we are full. The grill was changed, the staff was friendly.

It should be noted that we arrived at 3:30 and it was already dinner. we came on a Monday and it was already crowded, so to fully enjoy this place, I recommend coming early.

Really like this restaurant because of their food, service, and environment. Service is really good. They come to you and ask you if you need anything and bring out the food very quickly. The environment is not to loud and smokey.The first time I went I thought it would be really someky. I will definitely be
back next time with my friends and family to visit.

Dannng. If you're bulking then this is a good place to go. It's just meat and more meat. Come hungry.

This location is very accommodating for your preferences for seating and read well the pace of your cooking/eating for your next order. They were on top of all refills, ordering and cleaning for our table. Been here frequently just before peak dinner rush and it is all handled well as always.

I went for lunch and was impressed. Service was fast enough, and the selection and quality of meats was quite good. My only complaint was the garlic chicken, which had an unappetizing texture. $20 for lunch (before tax/tip/drinks) is also very reasonable!

Pretty quick service very friendly setting is modern but what your here for is food. Everything I tried was really good the bulgogi Hawaiin bbq style sesame soy are and the prime steak are standouts.

Delicious and all u can eat in 2 hours. Why go anywhere else! The only complaint is it was freezing. Had to keep my hoodie on. I know it cuts into profits but, the heater a little bit on to take the edge off would have been good.

I read reviews about poor service before coming to the restaurant . And I lowered my expectations for this place. Likely, we got a perfect waitress, that helped us and recommended great meat to try. By the way we came at unpopular time, maybe that’s the reason that everything was cool, but when we left the restaurant it was already full of people, and I saw everyone in rush.

Wow. Best dining experience I’ve ever had our waitress… not sure what her name was… maybe kim or kayla… was the most beautiful woman on this planet. Her eyes were so gorgeous I was lost for words and forgot to order another round. 5/5

Just wanted to shout out April, our server. She was the best server we've had here at Gen.

Also shout out the the bus staff. Their attention to cleaning was great.

Because of the pandemic, it’s very limited seats, we got a table for about 20 mins wait. The food were amazing, we were able to order 4 rounds and 4 dishes per round. Highly recommend Pork Belly, thin slices beef and spicy calamari in the pot. Service is excellent, price is reasonable. They do an wonderful job of cleaning, I saw the employees not only wiped the table, they scrubbed and sprayed the tables and the chairs before letting the next party sit down.

My favorite place for Korean BBQ! Honorable mention to wine pork belly and the brisket. The vibe is awesome and service is very quick. Might be a long wait on the weekends around 7ish, but before then works. All in all, no complaints and I hope you consider trying this great restaurant!

Best music there goes well with the fun atmosphere. Servers are all super attentive. We had Faith she was a gem. Super attentive to all our needs and staff changed grill frequently. Loved our dining experience tonight.

Bolkogi, garlic pork belly, Hawaiian steak, octopus for the first round. Second round had more bolkogi, plain shrimp and Cajun shrimp, veggies, and brisket.
Everything was very tasty, the meats were of medium quality, with not too much fat.
Service was top notch. When the place is busy it can be difficult to navigate the aisles.

I have never been to a place like this before so I didn’t know what to expect but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the experience of cooking your own food in front of you was really fun. And it actually was really good food and lots of choices!

Absolutely the best Korean barbecue in San Jose ! From the excellent quality food to the outstanding service this place continues to get a 5 of 5 from the family and friends .

Great location. Not too long of a wait. Staff is helpful and easy to find. Food is great as always.

Johnson was our server and he was PHENOMENAL! WE absolutely LOVE this location! We're from out of town and drive Only to this Location for our Cravings pf Korean BBQ! Everything was clean, fresh and delicious! We appreciate the service and pricing for our family of 5!
