The Point Restaurant

What a great experience. Our Corvette Club showed up with over 70 people and they handled everyone quickly and efficiently with courteous service and the food was excellent. Nice portions too. And what a view right on the riverfront! I'm coming back!!

This is a very cool old school style restaurant on the water front. Great views of Sacramento River. Built in 1964 it retains the look and feel of a classic family restaurant of the era. We rode in for lunch and sat at the bar watching the river and boats move up and down stream. Service was friendly and great. Food came out quickly and was very good. I had their Crab Louie. Lots of crab, avacado, eggs, tomatoes and olives. Other dish we had were Fish and chips (3 of them). We'll be back

On our way home we were looking for a place to have lunch in Rio Vista, the Google search had several places, The Point was highly rated so we tried it. FANTASTIC! The menu is great, service great, food great, and even though it is 1.5 hours away we will be back. Our meals were large enough to take half home. When we ate the leftovers last night my wife and I agreed, we will get back to The Point soon for another lunch!

I was here for a private event. The staff was wonderful. Most of the food was excellent, like really good. This place was off my radar but I will remember it now. Thanks for the great evening!

It was the first time there for Kay and I, we went with my sisters who live up here. We really enjoyed the time.

I’ve had Mai Tai’s all over Contra Costa County but this is Consistently the top quality. I thanked ms. bar tender. The grilled fish tacos were great. My partner’s prime rib was cooked med rare perfectly. Great Valentines dinner!

I went for the first time today with my friend for lunch. First off, the scenery is Devine! Right on the water, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. We sat outside on the patio, in the shade. They had a great food selection, from sandwiches/burgers, salads, seafood, tacos, steaks and chicken. We started with chicken wings which were pretty good, then ordered our meal. She had a ribeye and I had prime rib. My prime rib just melted in my mouth. It was perfectly cooked, and my baked potato had a generous amount of butter in it, like it should! Her ribeye was more done than I like, but the flavor was outstanding. I did manage to take a few photos. They have daily m-f specials, a nice looking cocktail menu, and I'm sure some beer. They have Pepsi products, so I felt like I was in heaven. Give it a try! Prices range from $15-35 from what I could see. It was a beautiful day on the Delta.

😃 The Point Restaurant is very excellent, the view on the water is very relaxing. The restaurant is clean and cluttered free. Also staff members are very friendly and courteous, professional. 😃 The food is very good, I ate fish and chips along with clam chowder soup. I recommend this restaurant because of the food and very outstanding staff. It's very peaceful and relaxing to look out at the water and see boats, yachts. I really enjoyed this restaurant it's not to far from Travis Air Force Base. The environment is so peaceful and relaxing on the water front. I went during lunch hours and really enjoyed the meal and looking at the water front. The price for the meals were 👌 okay. Just was really happy to get out and try 😌 relaxing. The person who was helping me choose from the menu was very professional and knowledgeable, courteous. When 🤔 I got back on base I told all of my friends, and informed other friends outside of Travis. To staff members at The Point Restaurant keep up the very good work 👍. Plan on returning again soon.

I had the 12 prime rib. I would have gotten a bigger portion, but that was not available. The service was great, and the views were superb.

This was a nice informal riverfront restaurant. Food was good , service excellent , and great views of the wide part of the river, and tonight happened to be the full moon rising and reflecting off the sparkling water. It is a family restaurant so, not necessarily quiet , but active. Was necessary to stop after some horrendous traffic through the highway 12 and 160 junction on a Friday evening. It suited us well. No delays after a great dinner!

We come here often, Drinks & Food are Delicious. They tend to get busy, sometimes shorthanded, But be Patient..the Atmosphere is worth the wait. The Burger and Fries are Fabulous. Really good Fish n Chips.
Outdoor or Indoor Dining is a Pleasure either way with beautiful views of the Sacramento River, the Boats, Jet Skis & if your lucky a Cargo Ship might happen by.

Very cute restraunt on the Sacramento river. Ask to sit outside to enjoy the view and breeze. Drinks are on point (thanks Wendy) and the food is great. Would definitely recommend.

A nice Birthday lunch with a dear friend who lives in Rio Vista. We gad a window table with a lively view of the Sacramento River. Great service and tasty food. It's always good at the Point.

We only come here every once in a while and it never fails us. It just worked out to be Valentine's weekend. The special was AMAZING! Fried zucchini, calamari.

This was our 1st time dining at this restaurant & our 1st wedding anniversary, so it was the perfect location since we just moved here. A little more casual than we expected, which was fine. The service, greeters, servers & the food were great! We will definitely be returning to our local spot now! Thank You!!!

Outstanding restaurant on the water in the Rio Vista Marina. Boat dock available, as well as plenty of parking. Great food and wonderful servers.
