Excellent food and great people. The first time was to go and the Carnitas was awesome! Second time I took my boss, this past weekend and sat down to some of the best street tacos I've had since I was actually down in Mexico. I am totally biased towards the woman running the show, even tho we were slow to order, she was cordial and pleasant, dealing with our yappiness ☺ will continue to go here til I leave Ina couple of months 😪 even though it's a little out of the way. Highly recommend!

The food is great! We bring our fifteen month old here at least once a week and have no problems. Service can be a little slow, especially when there are only two people working but it is 100% worth the wait!

What a turnaround the new owner did with this restaurant. If you haven’t eaten in this place in years and weren’t impressed, try it again. It’s been highly improved. It’s been consistently great each time I’ve been since 2022. It’s one of my new favorite restaurants in Benicia.

Ordered the Flauta(no meat) with the Chile Relleno. Overall: above satisfactory with a great blend of flavors. Nothing was over powering, nor too spicy. However there are options to make it as spicy as you'd like. 😎

Chips and salsa available once you sit down. Oh! And the margarita was on point.

Just had a wonderful meal at Ensenada. There were 5 of us and we all were delightfully impressed with the food, service and total experience.
My wife and I will definitely make this one of our go to restaurants.

Best burritos in Benicia! I got the vegetarian burrito “wet” with green sauce and I’m still thinking about it. It was big enough for 2 meals! Service was also really nice. I’m so happy there’s solid burritos here. Can’t wait to go back!

Ordered from doordash on 3/18 - food was HOT upon arrival, quality was excellent (not too greasy, listened to our instructions as my husband is picky eater). I really enjoyed their chicken fajitas, the seasoning was great, veggies charred to my liking. Salsa and chips were complimentary and great! Will definitely buy again soon, I’d like to try their beef fajitas next. 👍🏼

It was our first time eating there. We met the new owners (the same family still owns it). Their goal was to make the food as authentic as possible and upgrade the restaurant at the same time. They definitely succeeded. Our food was very flavorfull - did not taste like "Americanized" versions of Mexican food. Very well done. We would highly recommend their restaurant.

Super kind and friendly staff, delicious food and good price point. So far I’ve had the chili relleno and cheese enchiladas (I like cheese). Great red and enchilada sauces. Nice fresh salsa with a nice amount of heat. The rice and beans that come with the platters is great comfort food. This is my local go-to for chili rellenos.

The food here is so delicious. If you're looking for a new Mexican restaurant or just passing through town, I highly suggest Ensenada.

Great authentic mexican food and very friendly and accomidating staff. Sometimes you are going to wait a while, otherwise this place is great.

this was my dads favorite place..... he loved the servers,,,,,,,, he loved your tacos ,refied beans ..chips hot sauce.... thank you very much for being so extra nice to my parents....they both passed away in 2016-

I was nextdoor getting a manicure decided to have lunch there. I had the ceviche tostada and a michelada. Honesty the BEST ceviche and michelada I have had. Michelada was so refreshing. Service is great everyone is friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant, definitely going back for dinner

Ensenada has new ownership and i am loving the changes the menu's have alot more options and portions are alot bigger, and they also sell shock top my favorite beer igot the shrimp ala diabla best iever had my wife ordered mix fajitas shrimp,chicken and steak we were amazed how much food they gave her. Service was friendly the thing I loved the most was the huge TV they installed igot to watch the warriors game while I ate my delicious dinner I highly recommend coming to ensenada it's not the same restaurant it was before ..finally good Mexican food in benicia just wat we needed

Loved their carnitas wet burrito and the salsa amd chips were amazing. First time here since new to the area and at a very decent price. Will definitly be going here again.
