I'm part of the EFMP for GI issues. David Grant has really done more in this last year to find out what is causing my gi issues more than any past specialist I was sent to. They have worked with me on every step of the way and are really considerate. Mind you, they are always beyond packed at the GI clinic and have a huge work load, but they still try to fit you in rather quickly. (Compared to army bases where a GI scope within 4 months was considered quick to them). Just try to be realistic on wait times because this is a EFMP base and also a huge amount of retirees come to this hospital too.

Dr. Streiff is the best radiologist at this hospital. I am so glad that he was there to read my scans. Ask for him!

We had an incredible experience here. I highly recommend everyone from the doctors, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologists. They all made you feel comfortable and were so kind to my family and me. They took great care of us.

I came here for a few reasons. One being counseling with my now ex husband. After he was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, he shortly after was reported for strangulation and domestic violence.
They immediately took action when I pulled my collar down. I appreciate all they have done for me.
They connected the damages to my vagus nerve.

I have received nothing but the highest level of care and professionalism. I was diagnosed with acute non alcoholic cirrhosis liver disease which in 2018 had become cancerous. I literally owe my life to Dr. JD Hoskins and the whole staff at the Interventional Radiology Clinic. These people are nothing short of genius and they have taken me on as what seems to be a personal vendetta against cancer. I have a disease that will require life long monitoring and a team such as this to quickly take action should more tumors appear. I consider these very special people a direct blessing as God has placed me within the care of devoted Christians. I have come to love and respect these people and I thank God for all of them.

Very thorough. Depends upon the policies of the hospital. If patient oriented, he may not last long. If saving money important he will last way too long. Overall, they keep me alive.

I showed up for my appt today,12-5-22 at 2pm to my surprised it didn't show as an scheduled appt so I was upset. This went away after Ssgt Bongon and the other Ssgt (Sorry didn't remember the last name) helped me out. They along with Capt Brennan was able to squeezed me. This helped me a lot because of my pending travel that will be based from my Biotroniks review/reading. All is well on the result and now i can plan accordingly. THANKS A LOT!!!!

Went there for the first time. Had shoulder surgery, done by Dr. Scortus who I believe is the very best. I feel blessed to have had him as my Doctor. The hospital is spotless, and all of the staff were awesome. I rate every aspect higher than any private hospital I have been to, and I never do reviews.

I delivered my baby here in December 2020. The entire staff was amazing. My delivering Dr was so nice and the nurses were so helpful and sweet. I felt comfortable with everyone I interacted with especially my primary Dr. Cofield.

Hospitalized here 3x and just now realized how low their score on here is. Just here to give my 2 cents on why 5 stars should be their real rating.

-Place is VERY clean and well kept.
-Food is decent if you order the right meals.
-Staff is respectful and down for some good well timed dark humor.

Took my wife to the ER due to vomiting blood. We were seen quickly and had all the needed tests and care quickly. The ER is modern, and Dr. Nelles was very good. All our follow-up appointments were arranged, and everything was explained well. We were pleased.

I am still currently a patient here, and I've never really been inclined to post a google review anywhere but it has felt needed. No, nothing is as perfect as one would prefer given the fact you simply aren't in your own home. But the care and compassion I've recieved thus far has been beyond exceptional. My care team has went above and beyond in helping me and I'm so thankful to be here after being in a Sutter hospital for a week and transferred here. I've been provided more answers and explanations in general. Thank you DGMC for your kindness, compassion, knowledge and hospitality.

My husband was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, he was told by our local hospital that he needed immediate surgery. He asked the attending neuro Doctor if perhaps he could be sent to a VA hospital. He was told there were one to two month waits to be admitted to the VA. He could not wait for his surgery. Our local hospital made some calls to the VA on a Saturday. Within 24 hours she had a bed and a surgical team standing by for him at David Grant. We have had nothing but the best care and treatment from the Doctors down to the volunteers at David Grant. He was transferred by medical ambulance and had his surgery. He is making a recovery from that and now we are just awaiting test results and other appointments with other Doctors. We felt we had been given a miracle to be excepted into David Grant on such a short notice. God Bless all the great teams at this medical center. Mrs. Darrell Smith

I was born here in 1957
It seems like as with anything in life. You can please some of the people some of the time and all people some of the time but not all the people all of the time.
People feel they deserve more than they get and demand more than they deserve so there’s never enough done. Sad world. All hospitals have the same issues different days. It’s what’s expected that creates objectivity.

The personnel here at David Grant Medical Center are beyond superior. From the doctors, nurses and meds techs they go above and beyond in caring for their patients. I have had 4 surgeries over the last fuel months for breast cancer. During these surgeries and stays I have felt that they have cared not just for my medical needs but for my emotional needs as well. I feel blessed to have this facility and it's staff to care for me.

I love the care here, lots of respect, smiles, and professional (military) bearing. I think (active duty/open base) providers are far superior than any other facilities. Even currently active-duty providers who are serving/working at a VA hospital or clinic. Same training, hell, same provider, different facilities...BIG differences!

I had my bariatric surgery done here a year ago. Was treated very well. I should have joined the Air Force. My only concern is that for blood draws and IV sticks you always get E-1 E-2 training on you. I het that they need to learn somehow but they always want to stick you in the hand instead of the arm and they never get it and it ends up in your arm anyway. Still I would go here for anything. I have had scheduling issues. Young airman will call you set a time then you get there and there like we dont have you in the system would you like to schedule an appointment? And I just drove 53 miles to get there. So in true Army fashion call schedule. Call back confirm. Then day of or day before reconfirm then get the name of the person you spoke to.

Oral Maxillofacial Clinic
My daughter got an infection from having her wisdom teeth removed. We couldn't wait for her dental office to open so we went to the ER and from the on call staff to the head of the clinic to the students was nothing but round the clock care and compassion. My husband was gone and they made sure to let me stay with her during the whole event. It was something i wouldn't wish to happen to anyone but I'm glad we had the OMF clinic to be there.

I would like to personally thank major Philip Perry for the surgery he performed on myself. The staff at the hospital were great. All in all it was a great experience. Although I hope it my last surgery.

Absolutely a great hospital and even better staff! Went out of there way to take proper care of me. I wish all hospitals would be like this one. Thanks DGMC staff.
