Foster's Big Horn in Rio Vista, CA is the real deal! The atmosphere here is laid-back and welcoming, with that classic blue-collar vibe that makes you feel right at home. The menu is packed with hearty, no-nonsense dishes that hit the spot every time. Plus, the amazing trophies adorning the walls add a cool touch to the place. Located right in the heart of Rio Vista, it's easy to find and perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or family. And the service? A+. The staff here are friendly, attentive, and always make you feel like part of the family. If you're looking for good eats and good times, Foster's Big Horn is where it's at!

Great atmosphere. We only had a drink because we were on a motorcycle poker run but plan to return to eat soon

Fosters is a step back in time. The best private animal display that would rival some of the best natural history museums in the Nation. Not a place for anti hunting types. Food is good drinks very good staff great

Ok everyone, you have to stop in at this amazing place to eat off of Highway 12. Probably the best spot to eat in Rio Vista. I can't explain how good the food is here. The experience in eating a delicious meal here is wonderful. While you eat, you can look and at all of the beautiful taxidermy. When you sit down you will get a Menu and on the back tells you all about the history of this wonderful restaurant. And how everything came together back in the 1930's and 40's. The clam chowder was amazing. The elk burger like I had today I would definitely order again and again. The 8 oz New York steak really with a spot for my lady. Thank you very much Foster's Big Horn, We will of course definitely be back for more. Most likely next weekend lol. 😋 👍👌🤟 P.S. thanks out to our awesome waitress we had, you were very helpful and kind. Adding truffle cake to end our yummy meal 😋 THANK YOU ONCE AGIAN!!!!

The fish and chips here are amazing! Best EVER!! Fun place to go. Make sure you are OK with seeing animals that have been through the taxidermy process!! It's always a fun experience here. They were getting ready to have a special event, so the kitchen was closing, but they got us fed last minute anyway. Took my uncle for his first time. He loved it!

Yes, you absolutely want to stop and eat here. I do not think there is any place else in the nation where you will get this kind of education and exposure to history -- and the fine art of taxidermy -- while enjoying a delicious lunch. The variety of animals is mesmerizing. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly.

The whole family stopped by here on our way back from Jamestown, CA. The kids were fascinated by the mounted and stuffed animals, while the adults were sharing tales about animals we've seen and where. It was a lot of fun. Food was great and the bloody mary was excellent!

This place is AWESOME 👌. The story behind it is interesting and the trophy mounts are incredible. The staff were top notch and the food was good. I had the bison burger (yes they have regular beef burgers too).

There's a full elephant mount, a giraffe, some rhinos, deer, elk.... the list goes on. There are even some EXTINCT species. Fun place, only a few dinning tables and dinner isn't served until 5.

One of a kind animal displays from elephants to bison cover the walls in this Rio Vista restaurant and bar. Good food served here by a great staff. Plenty of parking and bathrooms downstairs.

I had the elk cheeseburger and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was great. You get a hunters lounge kinda atmosphere.

Great fish n chips. Went in there 2.5 23. There is a new owner and he has upped the ante. My husband had the pastrami
Sandwich and I had the special: prime rib sandwich. We both had fries. For $35 we had a excellent lunch. The fries were crunchy and hot, the ranch was buttermilk ranch and my sandwich was a taste of heaven. Next leveled it with some horseradish. Definitely check it out!

I was entertained by a friend who works in Rio Vista. He indicated the spot had over 250 different animal heads mounted to the wall. The elephant head had tusk so large did they need to be made out of Balsawood so he didn’t pull the wall over. The actual task or Madame against the wall. Is a really great experience this is a small town place like this.

Unbelievable display of hunting trophies. Extinct animals, endangered species, things you never see. The atmosphere was fun the night we were there, jukebox playing and a cool bartender. We've actually been a number of times and always had a great experience. Neat restaurant in the back also if you're looking for somewhere to eat.

Was in Rio Vista for a visit, and a few riders have never been to Fosters. They love the place and plan to return with their significant others for Dinner .

It's a pretty cool place. Personally myself I have not eaten anything like dinner there but for lunch not too bad they got a nice bar.
