Sandy Beach County Park

Had a really great time it was a little too crowded and you definitely need a canopy or tent there is not much shade but for $8 for the day it's great

Small camp grounds with water and electric hookup at every site. There's a boat launch and a day use area which has volleyball, picnic tables and BBQs. The beach is absolutely beautiful, a long stretch of clean sand with very shallow areas perfect for wading in and for little ones, no strong waves.
The entire park is immaculate, and very well kept including the bathrooms. The staff and rangers are very kind, friendly and more than hospitable, very laid back, and down to earth.

Very nice weather at summer make sure get cooler full ice n drinks extra cloths for make a bath

Always a great experience here at Sandy Beach! Staff are respectful and thoughtful in all interactions. Planning to camp here soon, for the first time. Visited the day-use area many times... Our family always has a good experience.

Great beach, nice clean sites. Get one with shade structure over picnic table. My family had a blast!

Beautiful beach. Was windy, cold and drizzling when we got there but was expected since it was Christmas Eve. Nice bbq areas with covered picnic tables. And clean! Will definitely go back in the spring or summer.

Quiet campgrounds with lots of open space and paved spaces for RVs. Spots also have fire pits and covered picnic tables. The campground is smoke-free, so it’s perfect for the little ones! Recommend it!!!

Love it there. Always kept up nicely. Beach is open, and fishing is still allowed.
But can't walk the beach with my little dog, only draw back for me.
Camping areas are very 👍 good.

First time there we had a great time will be back for some more fun ☺

Nice and clean place to go with family for picnic and camping. Entry to the beach/park is by ticket. Closes at 6pm and strictly needs to leave at 6pm. After playing at beach there are showers and restrooms to change. Food: KFC, Subway and few restaurants available around downtown area.
Shopping: Dollar family tree is the only store that has all the stuff needed for Beach play/camping.
I recommend to go and have fun with family and friends.

Great place to cool off without driving too far. Clean beach area and clean bathrooms. Plenty of space to fish or swim. Make a day of it and BBQ right on the beach. Great for small children as well shallow water for them.

Great little beach. A lot of fun for kids... loved going their sence I was a small child too. ... super peace and not crowded (it's a wed.) Listening to the waves and listening to an audio book

Love coming here 6 bucks all day in the sun and water, but today only 3 hours... BBQ Hotdogs and BBQ Corn on the cob

Very cool spot to camp. A hidden little gem if you ask me.

Lovely campground right on the river. Convenient to town with good dog walking on well maintained grassy areas. the park rangers are friendly and halpful. No sewer hookup but a very nice place.

Nice quiet beach.

Always enjoy a good relaxing time in the sand watching ships pass through.
