We are so happy that we switched to this animal hospital. The staff is so caring and helpful. The services we have received for our three dogs have been excellent. I would highly recommend the VCA Animal Hospital of Cotati to anyone needing excellent care for their animals. So happy we switched!!

Wow! I had the most amazing experience at this pet hospital for my 8 month old baby dog Obi. They were kind, responsive and caring, and the bill wasn’t even as much as I expected for a Sunday Holiday weekend. Staff was so friendly! Highly recommended!!!

So wonderful. They have cared for our 3 dogs and have been amazing. We just had to put down our 16 year old terrier and they were fantastic. They have always been so caring and accommodating. They really care. Dr. Mercado is Super Woman. Highly recommend Animal Hospital of Cotati.

Even though it had to be limited contact they had a window open in the exam room so I could see in and talk with them. My dog is super timid with meeting new people, but personally felt they really took the most time they could to calm him and let him warm up before they started feeling his leg (he had a sudden limp), the price was also great compared to what I expected to pay. So thankful and satisfied will definitely be returning!

I cannot say enough good things about the Doctors and staff here. We've been coming for years and have always been treated with kindness, compassion and understanding. They saved our dog's life when she developed pancreatitis a few years back. They've examined and helped every pet we've owned and seem to have an equally loyal following with other client's I've chatted with. Evening and weekend hours. I can't say enough good things. I never want to go anywhere else!

Super friendly and accommodating office! I made a mistake and brought my cat in over the weekend as a walk-in because I thought they took them and they were so nice and were able to squeeze me in. My cat had an abscess and one of the doctors actually dealt with it on her lunch. I also learned that I apparently have an issues with needles when I was in the office. I almost fainted and it was beyond embarrassing but everyone was so nice and considerate. It was meant to just be a one time emergency thing but I will honestly probably switch all my cats over here.

We discovered this place almost a year ago. They have a very well equipped office and trained professional staff. For dogs that don"t respond well to conventional treatment for allergies or moderate pain they have an Acupuncturist. People, modern Veterinarian medicine has evolved. This is my perspective, I'm not a Veterinarian.

I switched to this Animal Hospital to be closer to home and just more convenient, but it was the best switch I could have possibly made. The staff here is always so friendly and wonderful with my animals. I have two dogs who are rescues and can be a little timid with people, but the staff here know how to approach and get my dogs to fall in love with them. They are very good at helping me keep up with their vaccinations and general care. Bonus: they're open on weekends. However, not all services are available on weekends, so if it's something that needs immediate care or treatment they may refer you to the nearby VCA Rohnert Park which is open 24 hours and more prepared for emergencies. For general care and treatment though, Animal Hospital of Cotati is my choice!

The doctors, techs, and nurses are friendly and seem to really care about the animals. I am very confident in their care. They also automatically billed our insurance for us - that was a pleasant surprise. And our doggy loves their treats.

On the Friday before Christmas I had to make the decision to put down our cat of 15 years. He was a royal pain in the butt when he wanted to be, but he was also a loyal friend, a lap warmer & my Pity girls best friend. He could control any dog that came after him & turn & give her a bath just for being there. They slept together, played together & ate together. He was old & his body was failing & it was his time. I knew it & put it off longer than I should have. The staff was kind & caring when we brought him in. They understood our pain & gave us the space & time we needed to say our goodbye's. We were with him until his last breath & were given more time to grieve before we left. They have always been amazing with our dogs. But they stepped above & beyond the call of duty for us & our old kitty. Thank you to all of you for all you do for us & our furry children. Love, Neeko, Aité & family.

Always great! We saw Dr. J. Mercado. She fit us in at the end of a busy day. We thought we were going to lose our Lab tonight, but he perked up and Dr. Mercado put him on
some more meds. Our lab is her old friend and she was awesome. So grateful to Dr. Mercado and Virginia for making this happen. It will now be a Merry christmas. Thank you!!!!

I love that you can see and talk to your pet while they get checked; Covid has made vet visits difficult, but VCA Cotati has done a fantastic job of getting our pets healthy during this time. Great location with a caring staff.

We had an amazing first visit. The nurses and doctors were understanding of our nervous pup and did their best to make him feel comfortable, calling him by name and giving him treats.
We made an appointment that same day and were seen almost right away. There wasn't a lot of waiting around in the waiting room which can often make pets nervous and antsy.
The doctor gave us tips based on her own experience on how to stop our pup from barking when he gets nervous and showed us full support in owning a pitbull and in training him to be the best dog he can be.
The nurses as well as the doctor encouraged us to stop by when ever we are available to get our pup accustomed to the office and the people working there.
A couple days later we received a call from the office in order to see how our pup was doing and they encouraged us to call back in a couple days to ensure everything was going well.

Such nice people! We were treated like old friends, even though it was our first time there. I feel I made the right choice for a longtime vet for my pet.

The staff was so nice. There's a several vets working there, so you're pet has a team working for them. I am very happy that I started taking my cats here. I highly recommend the Cotati Animal Hospital.

Delightful first visit with Dr. Hinkle. Very knowledgable, friendly, and open-minded. I got a lot of good information and things to actually DO for this pup with an overly sensitive tummy. Feeling hopeful and looking forward to more great care in the future.

Dr. LEAVEY is the very Best vet around! She has the experience and knowledge to always give you the very best advice and treatment. I will go to her until she retires... and hopefully she'll keep being my vet, forever.

There are no words to express how amazing the entire staff is! After having the same Vet for 21 yrs, I was very nervous about finding another Vet. I'm beyond pleased with my choice. My rescue girl "Lemon" is a bit timid and they are incredible with her. We've been with them for about three years and it's been three great years. They are so kind, gentle and etc. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Dr. Hinkle, at the Animal Hospital of Cotati, is so knowledgeable regarding holistic/natural treatments. She treated 2 of my kitties from youth to death and got me thru diffucult times. When each kitty went to the Rainbow Bridge, I went to a special, home-like room, sat on a couch and welcomed her and my kitty to join me. She had prepped the cat and covered up the area where, when I was ready, she completed the process and I continued to pet my little guy and watched him go to sleep peacefully as he crossed over.
