Oliver's Market - Cotati

So, if you were raised in a small town, or the city where the neighborhood had a independent community market. You will know what I describe here.

We have been a regular of the Oliver's markets for many years. Sure we will go to the big chain grocery stores for boxed items, but if you want quality, fresh produce, fresh meats and seafood, plus an excellent deli, bakery and hot foods. This is the place in the cotati to Windsor, Ca area. There are 4 stores look them up.

We made the mistake of shopping at Big John's market in Healdsburg. It was overpriced, the deli and hot food was expensive and bland. The meat department was underwhelming. The cut of meats not the best, and the bakery overpriced. Unfortunately if you are in Healdsburg this is the only grocery store there with the exception of Safeway, which is a good alternative.

The meats at Oliver's are top grade, and speaking to store mgr., they apparently have a go to supplier for seafood (dungenous crab) in Bodega Bay. So the prices are great.

I always love their hot foods and deli. Workers are always stopping to pick up lunch and others to pick up a cooked meal.

If you are visiting and would like a good picnic type lunch go here. You will have no regrets.

Love this place. Great staff; helpful and friendly. Food is always fresh. Excellent staff at the meat department and great beer selection. Organic produce is plentiful and the vitamin and supplement section is huge. Definitely our go-to store.

Oliver's Market is a more intimate yet large enough neighborhood market. Always well stocked. Food is fresh and they have an amazing delicatessen section. Whh is it so good? Because the employees are also the owners.

Oliver's is my favorite store, they have awesome produce, deli, prepared foods are the best and their butcher dept has gear meats and seafoods. Hot bar and sushi and Salad bar are also fantastic
They are always well staffed on the front end too, very friendly

UPDATE 6/29/23 = Just had their $12 deli cold sandwich...build your own ....loaded with condiments but no halepinos!

Great, yet expensive, market. Wonderful variety. Very nice helpful staff.

* I bought sushi that was dry... so not very good. I won't buy Olivers' sushi again.

High quality local and hlobal foods. Interesting variety. People complain about price, but that's the compromise when you don't want factory mass produced food full of added chemicals.

The barista is helpful. I said I’m going to get ice and a little high voltage mix with decaf and a small coffee is only $2.00. A great price today! Seriously, Olivers market is the most well stocked market I know of. And The Oliver’s Market Cotati is the largest that I know of. A great place. For a great shopping experience.

Stuff that I wasn’t really planning they would have but what makes this place amazing is the deli!

If you’re looking for a good sandwich at a decent price these days, Oliver’s deli has some good tasting sandwiches.

I haven’t tasted the rest of the menu yet but I’ll be back to work on it

So happy with the service and the cakes at the Cotati Olivers! I bought a ton of fancy salamis and the deli was kind enough to slice them for me (I had to buy them and then take the back to be sliced.) I also ordered 2 quarter sheet cakes- one coconut mousse and one passionfruit mousse- and I couldn't be happier with them.

I'm attaching photos in case you are like me and want to see the inside of the cakes. The brown layers aren't flavor- they just didn't cut the brown tops off of each layer (like you're supposed to do!) They tasted great. I asked them for bright colored flowers because it was a birthday and they put a beautiful collection on each.

I bought cake from Olivers because I don't like the hard, not-very-whipped, butter frosting that's fashionable these days at most bakeries. They also don't add alcohol to these cakes, which is important. These cakes' frostings had air in them, as is right and proper. The coconut one was kind of a whipped cream frosting and the passionfruit was more of a whipped buttercream (I think- I mostly ate the coconut one).

Highly recommend if you like a more old fashioned style of cake!

I went to Oliver’s today as I needed oranges and apples. I had surgery and can not use my right arm. I brought my fruit to the deli and they sliced it for me. It was such a kind gesture and it was appreciated. I love the vibe and energy at Olivers Market. Thank you,

Best Oliver's Market I've been to, love all the selections and prices.

Wonderful variety, selection. The best produce in the North Bay. Very impressive bulk bin options!

My favorite grocery store but wish they would expand their salad bar.
Sammy W. is the very best bagger. If she's working there, she always is cheerful and enthusiastic. It makes my day when I get to see her. Give her a raise! Btw, she is a great track and field star in the Special Olympics!!

If you can eat it, it's good. The huge deli is handy for sudden out of town guests. The health section is encouraging and if something doesn't work, you can return it within 30 days.

Shopping at Oliver’s Markets is an experience. I love the ambiance in the stores. The produce is top-notch, and I love the homemade soups and salad bar. They have an excellent selection of items with everything you need, including specialty items and gourmet food.
The employees are friendly, and the stores have an overall good feeling. Sometimes, I go there to de-stress. Everything looks so beautiful, and I get this feeling of abundance that makes me feel that everything will be great! Oliver’s Markets are a gem in the Sonoma County community.

Everything I have come to expect from Oliver's. Great produce, fabulous organic veggies, a very good bulk foods section and of course, the taquería!

The best burritos in town! I get mine in a bowl, and one burrito lasts me 3 days! Seriously, it's THAT MUCH food!

Staff are friendly, courteous, and very helpful.

I have been going to this Oliver's for nigh on 20 years, and I have never been disappointed.

I've been shopping religiously at Oliver's for almost a decade. Today, I felt compelled to share my feelings about some of the staff in particular and thank all the staff at Oliver’s Market in Cotati for their great customer service!
The following individuals are the main reason we shop at Oliver's.
- Eric and David in Produce; both are very customer friendly, courteous and always there to go above and beyond to help out.
- Bill in meat department; Meat Dept. crew is great but I can't say enough about Bill other than that he is totally awesome, hands down!
- Pete in stocking department; friendly, always there passionately to help.
- Denise and Alexis in cashier department; Denise is delightful, kind, caring and always greets with a warm smile. Alexis is energetic, funny and supper friendly. Thank you for making the last leg of shopping always fun!

We shopped for some awesome produce today.

Great place to shop for normal groceries I'm sure, but if you're hungry right now and want some good food, it's an amatplace to go! In store coffee house, tons of sandwiches, grab and go breakfast burritos, sushi, salad bar, soup bar, lots of fresh fruit... Yeah, worth it!

Ok, so I have lived many, many places and this has been my absolute favorite grocery store anywhere. The deli - amazing! Produce - amazing! Great food choices, wine aisle has so many options, store carries the brands you want, employees are super friendly and helpful, and store gives back to community in so many different ways. The herbal/medicine section has many varieties, information and choices - if you have questions, ask the health staff member - they are thoroughly trained, educated, and informative. This is the best local place to go and has been my all time favorite - no matter what state I am in.
