Hwy 12 Diner

When I went in everyone was hustling. I was surprised to see a large espresso bar. Had I realized that was available I would have had my coffee there, but I stopped beforehand expecting only basic coffee options. There was a chicken sausage option which was wonderful as I do not eat pork. My server was helpful with navigating items that I could have and still meeting my allergy needs.

What a great little place! Had fantastic service by Stephanie, the coffee was delicious, the food was fresh and super tasty...all around a great experience. The place is adorably decorated and super clean. The owner, Mary Ellen, has incorporated so many creative, innovative ideas in the design. LOVE the chandelier! Highly recommend this little gem in Rio Vista! I will definitely be back!

What a great find! A real Expresso machine. The best Café Latte I've ever had. I had the Corned Beef w/2 perfectly Poached Eggs. My Husband had the Chicken Fried Steak, it was cooked perfectly, I think I will order it next time. Delicious and great service too!

Excellent little diner we frequent when visiting family in the area. Definitely deserves its reputation of good food and decent prices, which is impressive because operating in this area is not cheap.

Will return again for the decor and food.

Great place. Had scrambled eggs w/avocado tomato & bacon well cooked bacon cooked just right, had ice tea which was good as well. Service was good did not get waitress name but very nice staff made sure your drinks were always full. Only one thing toast was a little over done. Go try this place. Very clean inside cute and quaint! Nice Staff and good food plenty of parking. A must place to eat!

Indoor Dininv Open again @ Hwy 12 Diner! Love coming here for a bite to eat! Staff is always Pleasant, Food is Great! Reasonable Prices as well.

Food was delicious!! We had breakfast and the taste was amazing! The staff was very friendly!! Definitely recommend!

What can I say about the Hiway 12 diner they are just the best little hole in a wall you can ever find... I mean the service was great the waitress was very attentive I like that about a waitress the food was very quick and on time and not only did they offer me an alternative besides the pork that they have which was the apple chicken sausage they made sure that if I needed anything else because I dont eat red meat that was just great teamwork on behalf of the cook and the waitresses as well as the host that was there I give this place five stars even 10 if possible I'll definitely recommend to eat there more and more anybody passing through Highway 12 please stop by here you guys will never regret it

We had a great breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious and our waitress was fun and attentive. I highly recommend this place. (The food was beautiful but we dug in before we even thought about pictures.)

Busy for a Sunday, as well it should be. But they got us in and seated quick. The menu was simple but down home good American style. You can tell it's a local favorite, which is what we always look for when passing through a town.
Our server was super sweet and our food was hot and delicious! Oh, and their baked goods looked off the charts👌🏾

Very clean and welcoming. Had the hot turkey sandwich, was great. Quickly seated, ordered and served. Staff was polite, definitely coming here again when in town.

I always get a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of salad with a bunch of their thousand island dressing. I can’t walk very well now and my food was walked out to my truck. I’m a few months late on this post but thanks Hwy 12 Diner !

Good food and service. Quick and easy access in Rio Vista. The food was fresh and delicious as was the coffee. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with coun try potatoes, it was very good. My husband had the hash with poached eggs, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the portion size was overwhelming, he ate every bite! We drive through here regularly and will definitely keep this on our list.

I visit monthly with retired friends and the staff there is the best! The food is tasty, served hot, and you never run out of coffee! Always enjoy dining there!

Walked in and got seated very fast. Got drinks right away. Got great cinnamon french toast! Service and atmosphere was great. Will be back!!

The country potatoes were jus like home. Just like cornpops use to make... And the entire staff are friendly and attentive they really want to make sure everything is just how you want it. You'd like whipped cream on a waffle? Done. Steak sauce? You got it. Like the salt shaker on left and the pepper shaker on the right... I don't know probably just move them yourself, salt and pepper shakers get moved around constantly... And even though I don't like ketchup it was nice to see Hunt's instead of the other ketchup that's everywhere.
