Seriously the best Italian food I’ve had in ages. I got the rigatoni Gorgonzola, and it had the most incredible rich flavor. The blood orange Italian soda was great, too. One member of my party didn’t get his order, and our server was so apologetic. He gave us a fresh pasta dish to take home, two desserts, and comped the drinks. I would have given five stars for the food alone and five more stars for the customer service.

We were walking around #Georgetown tonight and stopped by and took a look at the menu. The manager greeted us and asked us if we have eaten here before. We replied with a big ole Midwestern 'nope'. Then mentioned we did not have reservations. He said for you. You do not have to worry. He sat us immediately. The staff and food were amazing. We will definitely be back!!
We had our grandson and he was in awe!!

Saw a review that talked about the food not having any flavor, not sure if the chef at the time had a bad day or what, but I can't agree with any of the statements‼

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had in the United States 👌

Everything is made from scratch, the pasta, sauces, salad dressings... and all ingredients were super fresh!

- Burratta Al Altopiano (appetizer)🔥
With fresh basil pesto and sun dried tomatoes.

- Insalata Toscano Tristate: 🥗 Very light, but incredibly flavorful.

- Tortellini Carbonara: The pasta was perfectly aldente 🤌 The sauce was thick, creamy, with fresh herbs and so flavorful.

- Fettuccine Oceano: the biggest chunks of lobster, scallops and 🦐, definitely worth the money 👌

- Tiramisu: 🔥🔥 Also made in house, and absolutely delightful! (Have an espresso with it to compliment)

Jorge & Frankie: incredible service, from being greeted outside at the door, to allowing us to sit upstairs, away from everyone so my bf could answer work calls without disturbing anyone. Everyone was personable, fast and the atmosphere transported me right into Italy.

Paid street parking available.
Outdoor seating available.

I don’t know how we found this little gem, tucked away off 31st in Georgetown, but I am glad we did! Our server Ylli was amazing. Good service is usually enough to bring us back… but in this case, the service AND the food was simply outstanding. Cyrus, the manager was so welcoming, and we felt like we had been patrons for years. This restaurant is now our go to… if you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant, with a homey vibe. This is it. We ordered 6 different entrees, and each one were stellar. My personal favorite is the seafood risotto. Absolutely phenomenal!

I went with a girlfriend of mine for a leisurely splurge day about Georgetown. Decided on Ristorante Piccolo for dinner on a Friday, walk-in was available as it was just before the dinner rush, and had our pick of the free table in the nook by the window, underneath the stairs. Very cute and intimate restaurant, and the rest of it--downstairs or upstairs--was no less attractive. Fireplace on both floors, with a cute balcony to eat on when it gets warmer.

I ended up getting a full course meal, with complimentary bread and olive oil, which was delicious... along with a side dish of Linguine which was surprisingly large and plentiful, but SO good! Who'd have thought something so simple on the menu would be so tasty?

For the main dish I got a Margherita Pizza which was absolutely satisfying as well, and we split a bottle of white wine, per the recommendation of our kind and attentive waiter. For dessert, I got vanilla ice cream with bits of chocolate drizzled on top and it was rich, yes, but satisfied my sweet tooth without sacrificing the flavor and experience of the dessert as a dish in and of itself.

Everything was so wonderful, from the food to the service to the atmosphere... and I came to love love love this restaurant. It's a great little splurge of Italian cusine with an intimate setting, and I'd recommend everything based off my first experience here.

After we paid and left, too, we stopped outside so my friend could smoke her cigarette, and we ran into the owner, Ahmed, who stopped to briefly chat with us. He was very kind, and welcomed us back and, overall, left me with a genuine feeling of wanting to return. I hope to do so again soon! Thanks for a fantastic dining experience!

*PS: there was a violinist playing lovely music near the front entrance, which added to the overall atmosphere. Also, the Gnocchi is made in-house, confirmed to me by Ahmed the owner, which I definitely will have to try next time I return!

Full recommendation from me at 5/5 stars!

Such a delightful place! We lucked out in getting seats without reservation on a Saturday evening (thank you, Achmed) and had the most wonderful dinner experience. Accompanied by fine wine, excellent food and live violin music the last of which was most unexpected.

I can recommend the Calamari Fritti, chicken pizza and the bolognese pasta. The wine selection is quite good too!

Stopped in for a late lunch without a reservation, was seated immediately. The brunch prix fixe menu looked perhaps too abundant so we went with lighter options with no regrets. Great bruschetta and the eggplant appetizer was excellent. Pizza margherita was very good - particularly the mozzarella.

Amazing classic Italian cuisine. The food is very authentic, fresh and tastes just like in Italy. I never had Calamari fritti that delicious in my life. The ambiance is romantic, cozy and antique with the right choice of music and appropriate volume. Shafiq was our waiter with the most outstanding costumer service and great bartender skills, making superb Aperol Spritz. He knew it was our wedding anniversary and gave us 2 complementary desserts. Definitely keeping this place as one of my favorites in the area.

Elegant Italian cuisine. The place is very dreamy and romantic even from its outdoor design, and it’s located in the neighborhood of Georgetown which only adds to this thematic. Everything we ordered was as tasty as can be and it personally won a spot as one of the best Italian places in DC.

I can’t believe it has taken us this long to discover this place. We haven’t been to a better Italien restaurant before. We ordered the tomato soup and Caesar salad for appetizer, and lobster risotto and seafood fettuccine (Fettuccine Oceano) as our main dish. When I asked our waiter, Nabil, what main dish he can recommend, he suggested their ward-winning mushroom/truffle ravioli (Agnolotti ai Porcini). He was so kind and brought a few pieces to try :) Nabil did an excellent job serving us and he even brought us some free dessert. It is like he knew that today was my birthday! I will definitely come back here again!

Fantastic service. Amazing food cooked perfectly. You can sit inside or out, upstairs or down. The pulpo (octopus) is so perfectly prepared. My friend usually doesn't like octopus, but loved this! Fillet perfectly cooked as well. Great selection of wines. Very happy with our visit from start to finish.

One of the best true Italian restaurants in the city. Cozy atmosphere paired with outstanding food quality and service. I had the privilege to study abroad in Rome and I can assure you that if you are an Italian food enthusiast, Piccolo will not disappoint you. Oh, and although there are no primi options on the menu, you can always ask your server for it before your main course--just like you would if you were in Italy.

So delighted in the way we were treated!!!
Reservation for 9:00pm and seated right away in a romantic private-ish nook in the front room. House bread and dipping sauce is excellent — had 2 servings! The pinot Grigio wine was crisp and light and went perfect with the Rockfish and the Fruti di Mari that we ordered as main courses (see pics). A congenial and polite crowd in the place — busy but not loud! Dessert was EXCELLENT — cannoli and fresh coffee! The waiter decided that the dessert and coffee was on the house— an extra treat. We were serenaded by a violinist who was quite experienced, and was taking requests — Vivaldi and Bach! — see video!
The brunch option looks really appealing — see offering flier in the pics.
Frankie is the BEST!!!

Ristorante Piccolo is a 5-star experience, all around.
The staff is friendly and provides great recommendations for the menu. They even offered shots on the house to elevate our birthday celebration!

The mushroom ravioli (Agnolottli Al Porcini) is amazing... although, leaves you wanting more.

Tiramisu and Cheesecake were delicious!

Definitely recommend!

4.5 stars

“Most romantic place in Georgetown” the host says, treating us like royalty. We got very very lucky to have an outdoor table open up right as we arrived on a sunny Saturday early afternoon.
The food was delicious. Appetizers were very homey, homemade tasting, like I imagine Tuscany food to be (I should really visit one day). The lamb ragu on polenta was rich and flavorful, and the vegetable soup was so hearty.
Our mains did take their time getting there though, more than half hour after our appetizers which surprised me, odd stumble in a pri fixe brunch menu, and getting the check taken care of could’ve been a lot quicker too, but that’s one server. The food was great though, and we will definitely be back to try dinner.

I would highly reccomend this restaurant! The atmosphere is very welcoming and server was professional and kind! I went here for my birthday, and I am so glad I did. My food (I forgot the name) was pretty flavorful, and the taste was balanced which I think is hard for many Italian restaurants to achieve. They brought the food out quickly which was a plus as well. All around pleasant atmosphere and perfect for my birthday.
