I would award Country Care Animal Clinic 10 stars if that was possible. … Owner/senior tech Shilo, Dr Wood, the vet techs and receptions, and the visiting vet specialists are well-qualified and truly care about their pet patients and pet parents. The warmth and congeniality offered by this team are always comforting.

The receptionist is delightful and kind, the medical staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the veterinarians are patient! I have had dwindling hope that I would find another family operated Veterinary Hospital after my favorite local DVM retired until now. I highly recommend this team and trust them with the medical care for all my pets. Prices are extremely reasonable and for a small facility they will surprise you with brand new, top notch in house imaging and lab equipment. Thank you Country Care!

Very happy with Country Care Animal Clinic. Had a possible foxtail issue with my dog and my regular vet was not available. They scheduled me in right away. The office is small and busy but everyone seemed organized and professional. Awesome staff. I won't hesitate to go back.

My first time visiting this office with our dog, Kona. Kona had re-injured his back. My regular vet and back up vet weren’t able to see us. I contacted this office and they right away were accommodating. Meeting Dr Wood and his staff, friendly and compassionate. As well as thorough in Kona’s examination. Very careful with Kona. Dr Wood and I have kept in touch the past few days with everything. Keeping tabs on Kona’s progress. It’s nice to receive this type service, care and compassion. I really appreciate Country Care Animal Clinic. The staff is awesome! We had an emergency situation with our Golden Retriever and our own vet at the time wouldn’t give us any time to see our dog. We went to several animal clinics with disappointing results. We found Country Care and they helped us right away! Our dog is doing great and we are so grateful! I would highly recommend them!

Veterinary personnel is super helpful, caring, and very knowledgeable. All my family's furry members are cared for at Country Care Anilmal.

Everyone here is so kind and compassionate. We started coming here years ago when our normal vet couldn't get us in quickly when my elderly dog kept getting sick in his last year of life. After one visit we fully switched over to Country Care because of the kindness they showed us and our pup was next level, and they were extremely thorough in their exams to get to the bottom of his issues while not breaking the bank. We never feel like a number here but like part of the family.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Country Care and the people that make this clinic so amazing. I felt lucky enough to find them almost a year ago, for a same day appointment for my French Mastiff Fiona, but after having to take my beloved girl to the emergency hospital... and 3 days of torture - I called the clinic (as I was on my way to decide if I was going to have to put her down or not at the emergency hospital) hoping to get some advice. The male vet tech was beyond kind and Dr. Wood actually called me right back and went above and beyond. The kindness and compassion are endless here and I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else.

We have been customers of Country Care Animal Clinic for about 6 months, and have been very happy with their services. At our previous vet, our dog had a traumatic experience as a puppy. At Country Care Animal Clinic they are very patient, understanding, and gentle with him. Quick replies, friendly staff, and good prices as well, I would highly recommend them.

Country care has provided nothing but exceptional veterinary care as well being down to earth and prompt with fitting us in. In a time when the quality of vet clinics seems to only be going down, their service only further soars.

Recently coming from a rocky vet experience in Petaluma, my partner and I were looking for a vet we could trust in the area. After reading all the great reviews online for country care, as well as a personal testimonial from my barber in Cotati about the work Shiloh and Dr. Wood perform, we figured why not stop by!

Immediately without hesitation, we were greeted like human beings and not just a transaction, and the front desk gal as well as the technician treated our dog like he was one of their own.

We came to Shiloh and Dr Wood after our previous vet made us feel like doomsday was around the corner, and after having a real conversation, they put these concerns at ease. They walked us through his current conditions and ultimately made us feel at ease. Dr. Wood helped prescribed us new supplements and our 11 year old dog that once could hardly bear to stand on one leg has more pep in his step than we’ve seen in a while.

We also had some dental work done and from the get go, Shiloh and Dr. Wood were transparent, informative, and ultimately caring and they guided us through this process.

TLDR; We’re very pleased with Country Care and will continue to bring our dog here!

I can only go by what my dog feels.
She loved the Vet and his staff and she was like putty in his gentle hands. My dog is a diva and loves most people...but she didn't want to leave! The people are all genuinely nice and it's clear they love animals. They treat your best friend like they've been besties forever. Multiple thumbs 👍...quite honestly, I wish he were my doctor..
he inspired my confidence and trust immediately. What else can I say except your pet will probably fake being sick just to go back!

While watching my cousin's dogs, i noticed a problem. She called (out of town) at 4:00 and he was seen at 6:00. Such kind, compassionate people. I've referred so many people! Shilo, Dr Wood, and their entire team are fabulous!

Not like any other vet I've ever been to. Shilo and her team know to treat your dog/cat/whatever like they're as important as your children. She seems to bring in other veterinarians who have specialties that complement hers, likely even scheduling patient appointments to match which of her vet partners will be working that day. All of her staff are friendly and outgoing and obviously love animals. They also treat well their patients' pet humans. 😉

First visit today. My first take was a guy who knows things. Positive experience. So happy to have found a vet!

The best clinic, the vet and staff are so friendly and responsive to all questions. They're really kind and gentle to my dog, showering him with treats/whipped cream to distract him when he's getting shots.

Our previous vet in Petaluma was the opposite, would try to forcibly hold him down without treats, and then even tried to tell me to drug him with prescription meds before bringing him in so he would "behave", it was unacceptable. So glad we switched to Country Care!

We're very happy with the staff at Country Care in Penngrove. Very polite, helpful & our dog is treated well there by all.
