Union Slough Park

The park is currently closed for the season and they are enforcing the trespassing rule don't be fooled if the gate is open since the park is still closed in Winter.

Welcome to another hidden gem, Union Slough Park.

Over the years past there has been lots of restoration efforts by Earth Corp volunteers, a few Boeing employees, the Port of Everett and a few users that pick up garbage and other unwanted items left behind by unwanted visitors.

Thanks to all the hard workers making this an awesome place to chill out as the day passes by and bird watch along the shorelines.

This park is part of a Wetlands Habitat Restoration Project.
Many individuals volunteer including Earth Corp's to make this a better place for everyone.

Lots of folks meet just to socialize and many are out exploring and enjoying nature. As with any park in a off the beaten pathway its wise to keep an eye on your children as they play and observe nature and everything in the habitat.

There are no public restrooms, no facilities.
Please respect the rules which include no overnight camping, fires or RV car camping on this property!
Pack it in and pack it out, do not leave litter behind.

I have ventured to this area for over 18 years to enjoy its features.
Recently the roadway has experienced minor flooding from an unknown source. The water is shallow but drive slowly to avoid damages to your cars or trucks engine.
The maintenance folks have also been mowing down the tall grasses and some berry infested areas near the waterline.

There are many large varieties of Dragonflies
and Butterflies roaming about devouring insects.
Lots of garden snakes also.
I have seen river otters, osprey, bald eagles,
hummingbirds, tons of bees, and deer.
Sometimes a ferret, mink, and weasel will dart past you on the long trail along I5. Lots of rabbits, owls sometimes at dusk or dawn but less frequent.
Great place to spend the day just chilling out!

The park has much to offer for any naturalist
or nature lover.
Great place to walk the dogs or just hang out.

Lovely path to walk, run, or bike! Perfect area for having a casual lunch while sitting on the bench overlooking the water. Absolutely beautiful and stunning!
