The fooooood! Oh the foood!! Soooo good! I got a chicken and lamb coconut curry and my wife got a butter chicken curry and seriously… if you’ve ever been to Chom Burger in Provo, this place is like the Chom of Indian food, soooo good! Our first time here the guy was super nice and definitely put some tlc into our food.

It is often difficult to find good Indian food anywhere in US. Usually an americanised version which doesn't even closely resemble the cuisine are hailed awesome in reviews. I was kinda skeptical for the same reason. Who would believe that out of no where, in the middle of Utah, you would find a good Indian Restaurant.

Needless to say this was one of the best Indian restaurants I ever visited here in US. This restaurant wouldn't confuse you with a plethora of weird sounding menu options only to realise that the curry you ordered and your friend ordered were just same except for a different color garnish.

We ordered lamb curry and mix veg and the spice levels were exactly as we expected. If you are not used to spicy food, you shouldn't be eating Indian food ;)

Stopped in for a late night meal on our way through town and were delighted! The food was made fresh when we ordered and was delicious. We enjoyed the lamb Shwarma and butter chicken. Highly recommend!

The food is great! And the owner helped me and my girlfriend order things we’d both like. One of our favorite spots in town!

I see some complaints here about the wait times on the food.

Yes. This is NOT the place to go eat if you are in a hurry or don't have at least an hour to spare.

However, the food here is special. This stuff is the real deal. Home-style Indian cooking from scratch. This isn't over-salted, over-sugared, pre-made stuff. This is an absolute experience that will stick to your ribs and make you very happy that you stopped in.

I've eaten at many Indian restaurants all over Utah, and this little place in Cedar City is my hands-down favorite.

Try the chicken or lamb vindaloo.

Heaven on a plate.

I've eaten at many Indian restaurants. Bombay Cafe has my favorite version of chicken korma out of any place I've been. It's different than most versions of korma I've had. It's hard to explain why, it just has more flavor than other places. The restaurant itself has some downsides, as other reviewers have pointed out, but I love the korma so much that it doesn't bother me. I crave it weekly.

I love the flavors. The owner makes the food and spices it authentically. He remembered us and said he plans to improve the ambiance with future revenues. His customers keep coming back! I know I will!

I got the butter chicken curry, chicken pakora, and the strawberry lassi. I eat Indian food whenever I get the chance, I’ve eaten it all over. The strawberry lassi here is the best one I’ve ever had! I would show a picture of the food but I had such a good time eating and hanging out with friends it slipped my mind. The atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting, and the workers were very nice and polite. I’ll definitely eat here again next time I’m in town :)

Very authentic homemade food. Biryani was excellent made to perfection. Tandoori chicken was the best, juiciest tandoori chicken we have ever had. I also had Aaloo paratha, which reminded me of India. Very authentic food one must try. We drove 30 miles from Zion and it was totally worth it!

This place is amazing! The man who runs it is always friendly when I go and the food is always amazing. Every single time I've gone here its been over the moon delicious. I cook curry at home a lot and I'm always blown away at how much better his is. I called in an order for 11:55 and when I went to pick it up it was done and fresh. The meat is always great quality. I always get chicken or veggies. The chicken is soft, tender, juicy and extremely flavorful.

This place has SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS! The best way to order is instore or over the phone. The owner doesn't have a great understading of Doordash. My favorite dish is the veggie coconut curry. Their naan bread with garlic is so lovely. The owner is busy but very kind. If you're looking for some authentic Indian Food in Cedar this is the place to go hands down.

Excellent food. Got half coconut curry chicken and half pineapple curry chicken. Combined them and it tasted like a Piña Colada. I'll definitely come back for more.

Delicious, authentic Indian food. It's very flavorful, and VERY filling! What's more, you can choose how spicy your food is: mild, medium or hot (I chose hot because that's how I roll). Yes, it's true that service is slow, but that's because the owner is the only one in the cafe. So, if you're unlike some of the other people who reviewed the Bombay Cafe (those people who are horribly IMPATIENT!), and you stick with it, you will be rewarded with the best Indian food you've ever had! Lastly, the owner is a kind, patient and understanding person. Don't listen to the naysayers! I'm going back to the Bombay Cafe! Won't you join me?

My husband and I love this place!!! We’ve tried quite a few different curries here and we are never disappointed. The butter chicken is my favorite by far. It’s always just the right amount of spiciness and the flavor is great. The garlic naan is really good too. The decor is quite plain, but don’t let that deceive you. Only complaints is that it usually takes a little while for someone to come out of the back when we first get there, and it’s a little pricey to eat on a regular basis as a college student.

Hands down the BEST Indian food in Utah. Very sad to see some poor reviews for this place because it is seriously a gem! The coconut chicken curry is heavenly. TRY IT ONCE, I dare you, you will crave it for the rest of your life! The man who owns the shop is as kind as they come! My husband and I have moved from Cedar and we miss Bombay Cafe dearly.

The food is so good. This is my new favorite place to eat. Their lamb is always perfectly cooked.

Update 6/19/2020:
This place is still amazing and I highly recommend it. They added new dishes recently that are all really good. The butter chicken is a must try if you come here.

I recently went to the hidden gem, Bombay Cafe, and let me tell you it was awesome! The guy who took, and cooked, my order was very friendly and helpful. When he asked how hot I wanted it he gave me a very good recommendation. I asked if hot was burn your face off, he said no but that medium was really good!

He was right! I got the Butter Chicken with medium heat, Flatbread and a Mango Lassi! The portions were fantastic and the food was amazing! The Butter Chicken was so good mixed with the rice and dipping the Flatbed in it was superb! I had never had a Mango Lassi before, but I will be going to get it again!

Everything was freshly cooked, tasted great and the service was fantastic! If you're looking for something new to do in Cedar City, Utah, walk up and down historic Cedar City and make sure you go try Bombay Cafe...you won't regret it!

If you find all the bad reviewers of this place on facebook, almost all live in other countries very far away. It seems to be some weird bad review hit. Most authentic, great tasting, quality Indian food in cedar city. The prices are great for the food you get. It’s not a fancy booth restaurant, but its not meant to be. It’s meant to be a good atmosphere and the best food.

I was surprised to find this gem of a restaurant right on Main Street in Cedar City. Surprised because I didn't know it was there for about 2 years (don't judge, I'm from out of town) but tonight I rectified that Grievous oversight. I had the coconut chicken curry at $8.99 for the dinner entree, and it was utterly delicious. The chicken was tender, in nice bite-sized chunks, and the coconut curry was beyond belief, prepared exactly as I requested, spice-wise. The owner was courteous and warm, and I can't wait to get back there to try the lunch entrees. The next time I go, I'll post the picture before I eat my food😶
