Great Doctors!

They flagged my review and had it removed because I was honest. Don’t go here. It’s not the doctors (Dr.Julie and Dr.Eric are amazing) it’s the hospital. It’s a corporation that has no business being in mental health. Your treated like a number by the receptionist, and everyone else you come in contact with besides the doctors. They drop the ball on refills so you can’t get your antidepressants and you have to start withdrawing but the receptionist “yati “ doesn’t care if you need your meds or not. If you happen to want to go over her head and speak with an office manager.. guess what? They don’t have one. Really? Now they’ve moved the office into the building where all the other types of doctors are. Definitely feels like a clinic similar to Kaiser.

After Meeting with Julie we will not be returning here. I brought my daughter here because it was listed as adolescent behavior health services, Julie made my daughter feel worse when we left and even made her cry. It felt more like a interrogation than help, she said that the cause of my daughter's bad grades were because of "parenting failures" and she said we had to much going on for them to help us. She gave me papers for somewhere else and made sure to remind the front desk not to schedule us for a follow up..like we would even want to return. No thanks! The whole hour we were there was horrible.

0 stars it it were possible. I was misdiagnosed 10 years ago by the Van Schoors and even after multiple meetings they never re-evaluated me… for 10 years! Not only this but when it came to medication I had many issues, one of which was that when I brought a possible side effect to Julie Van Schoor’s attention instead of listening she upped my medications. I then learned, after connecting with another mental healthcare professional, that the exact medication that was upped, was what was the cause of the side effect that I mentioned. Not only this but it was a common side effect that she should have caught. And the latest is receiving a billing statement saying that I had 2 Telehealth appointments. The second of which all Julie Van Schoor said to me was, essentially, that she could not help me, for which I am now being billed $500. At the time I was having a mental health crisis, alone, in a new place.
I will never recommend them to anyone. The lack of care and interest in me as a patient, as well as discounting my struggles because they never bothered to know me or the stuff that I have witnessed and dealt with.
I have now found someone new, and after one appointment with her actually listening to me (amazing how that works) my diagnosis has changed and I am seeing improvement in my mental health for the first time in forever, or so it feels.
In short, do not go here. Go somewhere that values you, your mental health, understands how hard it is to struggle but still have hope and looking for help.

0 Stars if applicable. They didn't even bother calling me to let me know that "unfortunately, you need more help than what we can provide." After I had been calling them for a month and working with my insurance, they didn't even have the decency to call me. I understand when people commit themselves just to get someone to listen to them, why is it this hard? This place totally disregarded me and my mental health and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.
