Beautiful gem of a park in Healdsburg. Have lived in Sonoma County most of life, and this is the first time I've hiked here. Good mix of shaded trails and sunny trails. When I was there (Mid June '23) there was quite a bit of poison oak just off the trail on both sides in places - be aware and be on the lookout!

Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve is a wonderful nature preserve in Healdsburg, California.

Access to Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve is by city streets, through a local neighborhood, at the end of a dead-end street.

Parking is available on nearby neighborhood streets.

Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve is easy to find, is open daily, and typically has several people walking, hiking, or running the trails.

There are multiple trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Trails leading to ponds, creeks, or up the ridge for wonderful vista views.

There are benches along the trails to rest and enjoy.

Take good shoes because the trails are dirt and several have uneven areas.

Also, stay on the trails because I'm pretty sure I saw Poison Oak growing just off the trails in many areas.

Be sure to bring water with you!

Do yourself a favor and give Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve a try, look as you go, see the birds, wild flowers, and wildlife. Stop and enjoy the views occasionally and enjoy. It's great exercise! All free!

Wonderful trail - easy to moderate hiking with lots of changing scenery. My dog loves this trail and gets very excited to trot along from beginning to end. We love the oaks and manzanita trees and the vibe is very mellow. Nice spots with benches to take a break and enjoy the nature. Parking can be tricky as it's oddly located in the suburbs. Also, great views of Russian River and Alexander Valley once you get on the trails.

Beautiful and scenic hiking trails. Any level hiker can do any of the trails. The Serpentine trail is the longest and the view at the end isn't much but all you overlooks on the way were worth it. Dog Friendly but sometimes passing others is a bit difficult because of how narrow the trail is. Can't wait to go back.

The Ridge Open space has multiple trails, wide enough for walkers, runners, and mountain bikers. The scenery is sometimes shady in oak tree groves and other more open and sunny. Goats were grazing and tended to by a relaxed dog, deer wander quietly grazing as well. Lovely.

Hidden gem hiking spot! Dog friendly trails 👣 that have some nice vista payoffs of the Russian River and Alexander Valley. Hilly terrain adds to a nice workout!

A great park and reserve with about two miles of trail with multiple overlook points and even a large pond/small lake. The scenery and viewpoints from the overlooks and the lake are stunning. Perfect for a short hike or to spend an hour adventuring.

Great park for hiking in the spring while the wildflowers are blooming! The park is small but if you enjoy short rolling hills and a pond it's quite beautiful. I love starting at the pond where the wild yellow iris grow, Lilly pads bloom, and the frogs serenade before climbing up the hill for some lovely views. To make the hike longer, go down the hill and back up on the south side where you can meander around the madrone and oak forest and enjoy more lovely vistas.

Beautiful park with well marked trails. There’s limited parking in the residential neighbourhood which can be tricky on busy weekends and holidays.

For anyone with dogs - beware that the trails are COVERED in foxtails!! I pulled several off my dog throughout the hike and again at the end. Be extra cautious here this summer.

Hidden gem of hiking trails. Please stay on the marked paths, and lookout for the goats keeping the vegetation clear.

This place is fantastic for folks who want dog-friendly trails. Trails are fairly easy, only a slight incline. Great trails for those into light trail running! A couple good overlooks. Nice trees, some spring flowers. Parking is in a subdivision, but there's always space. Please keep your dog on a leash, there are a lot of people with dogs here. Highly recommend!

These trails have absolutely gorgeous views of sonoma county! There are five different designated lookout spots off of a few trails, but really there are beautiful views throughout the whole park. We love to go on a good hike here then go into town for a great meal. I like the little pond you can view. There is limited parking in a residential neighborhood.

A really nice place to go for a quick hike! There are cute trails that are not challenging, but allow for a good place to walk and catch up with friends in nature.

Go to spot for daily walk. It's now in the green phase with hills carpeted in verdant splendor. Lovely!

One of my favorite California terrains. Had a lovely 1 hour hike through the oak, manzanita and laurel. Well maintained trails with options.
