Cinemark Century Riverpark and XD

Compared to the Century theater in Ventura, this theater has smaller seats, but bigger screens and better sound system. So it's all swings and roundabouts, I guess.

The theater anchors one end of the River park shopping center. Lots of great dining options and boutique stores nearby. The parking garage is right behind the theater so it is easy to find a convenient parking space.

This visit was just to pick up their giant bag of movie popcorn for a family road trip. Their "Pack-a-Pop" bag is about 5 XL tubs and great for takeout with a resealable top. Only for take out, it's a great treat.

Cashier helps us choose the most comfortable seats with excellent view! Lots of yummy snacks to choose from! Can prepay snacks online with tickets. Convenient parking, near lots of restaurants.

🤙🏼🇺🇸 Theater stadium 16 was a nice place to see your favorite movies on the big screen, the theater was very clean, the sound of the movie was excellent. This visit for watching a movie was for Top Gun 2. We usually get the seats in the middle of the theater but getting the seats in the front was a good choice, you are fully immersed in the movie and don’t have visual distractions of people walking in front of the movie while it’s playing. We will always look forward to going back to this theater, it is a great place to view upcoming blockbusters with your loved ones. 🇺🇸🤙🏼

The parking is excellent. The theatre is very clean. The seats are comfortable. Prices are a bit high but I understand what covid did to the theaters revenue. I've been to this theater over a hundred times in the last 15 years. It is also very safe. There is the yummy food nearby for lunch.

River Park theater is quite nice, the restrooms are clean, the seating is comfortable, and clean sound quality and picture quality are quite good. So far, the parking garage has been safe and has no trouble to my knowledge.
Make sure you check the special events section on the app. They show a lot of older movies from time to time, but that seems the only way to know about it. I just saw Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" there. It was fantastic seeing that movie on the big screen!

Always have a good time at Cinemark River Park. My Daughter got to see her 1st movie peppa pig here this week. Truly the best 👌

Finally a big movie theater that has seats going up so looking at the screen do not have to look up. Also has a bar for those interested o sip and watch

What an amazing mid day idea to catch a matinee at cinemark century river park + XD at the beautiful Collection oxnard california!

My niece and I grabbed a couple tickets to see My big fat Greek wedding 3, great family movie!!

$10 general, $8,75 seniors for matinee tickets!!!!

It's clean, ideal Location, good staff, good customer service !!

Nice theater. Seats don't recline but they do adjust to a comfortable position and are very plush. Theater was clean. Easy to get in with barcode if tickets were pre-purchased.

We get to pick Where we want to sit.. The food was delicious I order the pizza. Customer serving at the food court excellent.. I bought a T-shirt toys the new movie.. I bought a blanket.. Everybody is so nice the rest rooms were clean..🇺🇸👸😎👍 Thank you.Sudac Family .

This theater is nice and all the people that work here are super friendly. I am used to the nicer more comfier seats that recline from the theater by my house but these are ok. And unlike most other theaters, they do give military discount here but you have to buy your tickets inside at the counter.

Great selection of movies, free parking, and clean theater and restrooms

It's weird and different, but that's the new deal for a while. Staff was great. Don't buy tickets online with their convenience fee. No refills on popcorn, bottled soda, but large and a soda was only $10, so it worked out great. Oh, ya. Empty theater! Go to the movies!!!!

I watched Godzilla and hit Setebello afterwards for a Godzilla. Perfect pairing!

Decent price, seats are very comfortable and clean. The seats recline and if you have no one next to you, you can raise the armrest...or if you want to snuggle your partner it also works. Great sound.

Great friendly visible staff. The theater is always clean and tidy. Comfortable seating with great sized theaters. Nice screens with great sound. We are movie fanatics so we've been going here since they opened. XD is always the way to go. And with the option to reserve seats can't go wrong when on a date so not in a rush to find seating.

I took an hour to write this review last night on another account and it's been hidden for no reason. This is an honest review of my experience over years with this theater. I took a lot of time to write this review and have spent a lot of money at this theater. I have a right to say my opinions and I can see now why all the seeable reviews are exclusively 4-5 stars and no negative reviews. This is dishonest and instead of fixing their issues, they just don't want anyone talking about it.

I live very close to this theater and because it is in The Collection with stores and restaurants, this is usually the theater me and my husband choose. But a while back, while watching the One Piece movie in a stuffy theater room with zero air circulating, packed full of excited One Piece fans, I realized... I always have a bad, stinky, stuffy, sticky germ filled time at this particular theater.

It literally gives the same vibes as an old Chuck E. Cheese, y'all know what I am talking about. The surfaces are weirdly sticky and not clean feeling with a stale smell in the hot air. The bathrooms are always filthy, smelly and completely out of toilet paper. No scent of cleaning products in sight. I can't figure out why they never have the air circulating or any ac on in a room full of people breathing their hot nacho breath for a 3 hour movie. Like, this theater always has the most flemmy coughing people in attendance, as if they're confusing the movies for a doctors office, yet it's the theater with the least amount of air flow in town. I just don't understand.

Not only that, but the screens might seem big, but the colors are dull and half the time the image is not focused or crisp. I notice that at this theater you can hear people whispering and chewing so much more than at any others I've ever been to. Like to the point where it's distracting. I am not sure if it's how the room is built or if the audio/bass in the movies isn't as loud or good quality as others. Seats feel dirty and uncomfy.

This movie theater and its stale concessions are overly expensive, especially considering the cleanliness and airflow issues. The popcorn and other hot foods seem to always be hard and stale no matter the time of day.

Tying back into what I mentioned above about being able to hear people whispering better than you can hear the movie itself....I also notice that this theater attracts a lot of young adults, who seem like it's their first time being outside in their life, behaving very rude and disrespectful to others in the theater as if it's their own living room at home. It's just not enjoyable to deal with when you pay to see a movie, but can only hear some kid acting as if the entire movie theater bought tickets just to overhear their comedy act with a movie playing in the background.

Overall, I think this place needs to be deep cleaned a lot more often than it is. It would be nice to see more employees making sure the bathrooms have toilet paper and surfaces aren't a health hazard instead of standing watching the entire movie in the corner of the theater room or congregated chatting at concessions.

This is a great theater, I just wish they would bring back the refills on the large popcorn. I also hope they keep the rent a whole theater room out as an option. I like that they also bring anime movies or oldies to the theater, it really brings options. This is great place to go see the movies over the other theaters. This is first choice unless all the good seats are taken!
