Motel 6 Redding, CA - South

Memorial Day weekend and everywhere was booked. Found this place at the very last minute. Great location and service. The cleaning ladies were awesome. I forgot my expensive Apple charger and they had it bagged and tagged with my booking information hours later when I came back to get it.

Mindy the Night Auditor remembered me from when I stayed a month or so ago. She welcomed me like family. Driving through town it was nice to see a familiar face. Thanks for taking great care of me and my family & for leaving the light on for us Mindy!

A great budget motel. Great service. Accommodating and caring staff. A friendly "home like " vibe with staff and other guests. It is pet friendly and understanding. It is a smoking hotel, so if you are a 'nonsmoker' or sensitive to smoke, you might want to find another spot. They did their best job accommodating my non smoking preferences, and I definitely appreciated that. If you are smoke sensitive, be sure to tell them - or find an exclusively 'non smoking hotel.'

VERY clean (unlike the Red Lion Inn) was actually cheaper than the Red Lion Inn. Dog friendly and VERY friendly and helpful staff. I wish I remembered their names. Was an older woman and a younger woman. If I go back to Redding to sight see, will definitely stay here!

Best Motel 6 that I have ever stayed in , in the last 15 years. Super clean !!! No smells . Bed was comfortable. It’s a 10/10. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Excellent. I had almost given up on Motel 6 after staying in the nightmare that is in Canby, Oregon. This facility restored my faith in an inexpensive motel that I started patronizing way back when it charged $6/night. This room in Redding was clean. Everything worked. The counter staff (a lovely young woman) was pleasant, informative and helpful. The maid was wonderful- catching me as I was driving out to give me a blanket I had left behind. I highly recommend this location.

I liked that the room we were given was uncarpeted since we were traveling with a dog. (Primarily I didn't want the dog rolling around on a carpet that previous dogs had left flea eggs on or something similar.) The front desk staff was friendly and the room was clean. The website allowed us to indicate the dog in our booking which made everything easy. I would stay here again.

After a 6 hour drive, just entering the Motel 6 So. Redding office was a welcome relief. The woman who handled my check in was extremely cordial and welcoming. My room was like a breath of fresh air. Room was superbly cleaned, smelled wonderful and the room temperature was cool and refreshing from the heat. The room actually smelled like a spa. Not sure if essential oils are used as a deodorizer, but it was heavenly and fresh. I've just become a Motel 6 regular!

I gave it five stars mainly becasue of the front desk clerk Ashley, she was polite professional and our check in and check out were a breeze thanks to her. She was more than happy to help us with whatever we needed making our stay comfortable and convenient. Price was affordable and the room was clean so we were very pleased overall and will be returning for sure.

Been enjoying this motel for years with my family, got evacuated during the Fawn fire. Couldn't stay at the red cross shelter due to a broken back. So Motel 6 and their employees were very accommodating and helped us with veteran discounts and reserving our room long enough to stay there during the complete evacuation. Thanks to all of you

House keeping here is on point. The room was spotless and even smelled nice. The location is great, we walked to dinner at a nearby restaurant. Every fixture was new and in excellent condition. And, as always, the staff were friendly and helpful. I know five star ratings don't get much attention from QC but I can't think of any reason to rate lower. We will be staying at this property again.

The location is good and safe. The front desk staff was friendly helpful. The room was clean. I was a little cold in the room, even with the heat turned up high all night, but I'm surprised I can say that about Redding! I was too tired to ask the front desk for an additional blanket (the fleece one on the bed is pretty thin).

Staff is wonderful, the female manager is scary and mean. Hospitality is great and accommodating. The rooms were below standards and light fixtures were dirty. However, corporate has a quota they have to meet or they risk their jobs so they do their best and I believe they were short staffed during my stay.

I was only staying for one night this visit and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the ladies at check in. They completed my paperwork and my pass for my car very quickly. My room was quiet and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room cool. Everything was great! I look forward to staying there again on my way back.

Our plans for Saturday fell through, so we needed a last-minute spot to stay. Looked up a few places online and the best location and price point ended up being at this Motel 6. We used the toll-free number to make a reservation and that was painless. Check in at the motel 2 hours later what's quick and easy, and the receptionist was very nice. Only criticism is that the rooms themselves while clean and fairly updated are very small and 4 people in the room was tight. Basic room, no amenities like fridge or extra storage, but as I mentioned it was clean. You get exactly what you pay for here, and that's not a bad thing if you're looking for a budget roadside motel. Last note is that the pool is a little bit larger than some of the other Motel 6 or similar budget motels. It's a little more fun for the kids.

One of the best motel 6's I've stayed in. Christi was extremely helpful at checkin, and appreciate registering the cars since other hotels don't and there's never parking available. Was able to park right in front of the room. Bathroom was clean and the shower had really good pressure. Floors were a little dirty though. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Stayed here for a convention next door and the employees were great, room was clean and comfortable. Had a great time. I Would definetly recomend. Staying here over the much higher priced locations in the area.

Check in was quick and easy. Room key worked great and we got settled in fine. Went out to eat at a local Mexican place, filled up nicely. Got back to Motel 6. Took a shower which was just right temp and hopped into bed. Got woke up at 2:00 a.m. due to someone in another room taking a shower. Sounded like I was in their bathroom, walls must not be insulated well around pipes, etc.. That really was the only issue I had. Room was clean and well serviced.

The rooms were basic. Clean staff well trained n take pride in there work place and it shows. Everyone was very nice polite personable the POOL was an added bonus for me I also found the Jolly Giant Flea Market@ 10 miles away. Shopping n dining were close by. Truly enjoyed the stay. Hope the next place is 1/2 what Redding Ca. Was an awesome place to stay. Supersedes the 2* I saw on the most recent review. 9++ is my score.
