Great music that started at 8pm. Good variety of cocktails. Small space but get there early for a seat.

First time at The Speakeasy and it already feels like I've stumbled upon Eureka's best-kept secret! Aptly named 'Speakeasy', it's a cozy gem tucked away in Opera Alley. Stepping inside, I braced myself for just another drink, but boy, was I in for a treat! The ambiance was intimate with a sprinkle of patrons sipping away. Ordered an old fashioned with a unique bourbon twist. And can we talk about those crushed marchiano cherries? A game changer! Now, every time I think old fashioned, I'll be craving this unique touch.

The backdrop of soulful r&b, a delightful blend of classics and fresh hits, set the mood just right. Not to mention, the mural outside? Pure artistry! But the cherry on top (pun intended) was the lovely conversation with a fellow patron and her delightful parents. The open-heartedness and warmth of the place is palpable.

Can't wait for my next visit to The Speakeasy. Hoping for another round of that perfect drink and perhaps another heartwarming chat. Cheers to 5/5 experiences! 🥂

Fabulous craft cocktails and great service, even on busy NYE. Really enjoyed the cherry canary and their hot whiskey cure-all. ♡

This place is a wonderful cocktail bar with inventive drinks and extremely friendly staff. I had the Seafoam Lichee Fizz and it was superb. The atmosphere was extremely good and the jazz band was slamming. The crowd is pretty local and it's a great stop if you were walking the Friday market.

I absolutely love you have to go I go on the weekends I enjoyed the music The music is amazing The people who come in and sing the musicians they come around they talk to you they ask you you know what you think or you know they talk to you like your regular people The bartenders you know they're very super nice it's just like you know a cheers everybody knows everybody and even if you don't you do.

Cozy bar with great atmosphere in downtown Eureka. The cocktails were outstanding. I had the "Thoughts and Prayers," which in retrospect could be a political statement. Check out the mural outside and the sparkly lights inside.

Upon arriving, I didn't expect much, but the cocktail French Quarter. Now, that was absolutely amazing. Flavourful, sweet, strong. All the right ingredients for a good cocktail. I didn't get food, but the drink I had lightened my spirits for sure. I know I'll be returning to try more drinks.

So good. Love the specialty cocktails. Atmosphere is so comfy and cute. If I lived in Eureka, it would be a regular hangout for me. Bartender was very kind and took pride in her craft.

So fun! The artisanal, seasonal drinks are clever. The peachy keen was great! The bartender, Tarrah, was fantastic and clearly knew what she was doing. She made several drinks not on the menu and non-alcoholic drinks for other patrons, too. The live music was a nice addition to the experience.

Tucked away in very groovy Eureka, I had a great cocktail and enjoyed the live music in this great little spot.

Cool local bar with friendly bartenders. Despite it being branded as a cocktail bar, the place feels halfway between a classy San Francisco cocktail bar and the small-town dives that I get in rural Minnesota. But it’s homey and the drinks are good, so it’s well worth the visit.

Really nice vibe and it was everything. They said it would be.

The bartender (didn't catch her name, blonde gal), was terrific. First rate. Friendly and made great drinks. Have a great time overseas!

Always chill, expert bar staff, never raise an eyebrow with drink requests off the menu, lotsa good live music, solid, not creepy or arrogant place to have a good drink and the occasional interesting interaction.

Great atmosphere, good service, well- trained drink preparer (aka bartender) who made our drinks the way they are supposed to be made. We love it there.

The bartenders know what the heck they're doing! The drinks here are delicious. The atmosphere? Delicious. The music? Delicious. If you aren't into tasty adjectives, let's just say this place is palatable for solo drinking, casual dates, or impressing visitors.

I recommend their Chocolate Martinis. Tasty, Tasty, Tasty!!!
Good, friendly service but a little slow once in a while. If your looking to enjoy a few cocktails with friends while listening to live music this place is for you. If your looking for a place to settle in, relax, wet your whistle and have a little conversation with friends it might be a little loud during the live music.

Great place and one of the places to go for a real deal cocktail made by pros. This is a small bar that like the owners intended, feels like a place one would happen into in the French Quarter of Nawlins! The ceiling lights up with stars and you may even be able to wish upon a shooting 🌟 here. Highly recommended place for a date or to catch some live blues or jazz. Great spot in the alley with an amazing mural on the facade too by a great local artist named Blake.
