Residence Inn by Marriott Camarillo

Overall nice place and decent value.

They charge for parking which is ridiculous, given that there's nothing but space around here. If it's in the city then I understand, but charging for it here is unexpected and disappointing.

Room 5/5 : spacious, fridge, sink, desk, outlets, everything you need. Bed is comfortable, shower pressure is not great but not bad, shampoo is great. AC works well.

Location: not really walkable to anything but near the highway and close enough to everything.

Breakfast was delicious.

I stayed one night with my family. My room had full kitchen. I used it and it’s good. Breakfast is amazing, including waffle maker! One negative is the parking fee 15$.

I arrived on Friday at around 7pm in the middle of a storm-after driving in it for 3 hours. Darjon checked me in-and when no one else was available-kindly took the luggage out of my car and accompanied me to a wonderfully quiet and comfortable room where he'd already turned on the lights and heat. Darjon's genuine warmth and exceptional customer service were like a big hug from a good friend after a challenging day. The accommodations were sublime and I had the best sleep ever! THANK YOU- Darjon & Residence Inn!!

What a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn in Camarillo. I contacted Rene Jones the hotel GM and she was simply wonderful on check in and throughout our stay. I was also able to get a Bonvouy upgrade due to availability and the fact it was a mid-week stay. The entire staff were so friendly and professional and the cleanliness and maintenance of this Marriott location is stellar. They also offer a complimentary breakfast mid-week from 6-9 am and on weekends 7-10 am on weekends. Internet TV is also available and free Showtime. They do allow pets with a $150 1st pet and $20 for additional pets. This is a no smoking facility as well. Wifi is available for free through Marriott Bonvouy. The pool area, fitness center, laundry, court activities, fire pit and BBQs highlight their amenities and their is a 24 hr. On-site mini market. The location in central and within the village of the park community near trails, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this site and I suggest you contact Rene Jones as she provides amazing customer service and leadership at the site and it's evident all the employees show the same commitment to excellence. Jacob also brought us some pillows, towels and paper products and was amazing in his customer service and communication. I see this young man as a future hotel GM. Highly recommended.

With these crazy times we're living in, it's nice to feel at home while away from home. The rooms are spacious and clean. Smart TVs, full-size modern kitchens. The staff is wonderful, especially Kayla. She is so friendly. Great customer service. The location is good, a bit of a maze to get to, but close to the 101. Beautiful area. Would stay again.

The breakfast was great. Nice variety of food. The social hour was fun. On Tuesday, they served hamburgers, salad and fruit. With wine and beer. The staff was great. We were right next to the elevator, not noisy at all. Subway sandwich right across the street. The multiple lobby areas were comfortable. I would recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised. rarely do you find such a nice place to stay that you can bring dogs which I have two that are both over 45 lbs., So dog friendly there's plenty of places to walk your dog and they have poop bags. There's a game room with a pool table in it. There's a very nice fire pit outside surrounded by comfortable seating. They have a basketball court. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. We got a king size studio. the kitchen was very nice the couch was nice and the TV allowed us to also have Internet TV so we could log in to our Netflix. The bed was very comfortable. the TV rotated on a little counter so we could see it from either the bed or the couch. I took my dogs for a long walk in the neighborhood right up the street that had three little dog parks so this was a great place for us to actually find. I forgot to take pictures of the room so I've already checked out but I've got a lot of the outside. oh and I almost forgot they have a breakfast and their breakfast has Greek yogurt fresh fruit meets oatmeal lots of bread like croissants bagels toast hot scrambled eggs and sausage and they have a waffle machine. We will stay here again if we come back this way! Enjoy.

November 27, 2020 - Still a very wonderful hotel to stay at.
It's clean and well-sanitized (especially important during this Pandemic). The kitchen is extremely convenient because you can cook your own food (especially that all restaurants have limited or no dining options now). Kitchen was equipped with everything you need from kitchenware, pots and pans, utensils, etc. Everything inside the room was clean.
We have stayed in this same hotel 2x now (2 years ago was the 1st time - Original review from that time is still below) and their quality remain the same. Hopefully they maintain the standard they have.

Exceptional hotel. This was the last leg of our annual family vacation. We’ve been to other cities namely Seattle, San Francisco, Carmel, Monterey & Los Angeles. We’ve checked into 4 different other hotels during our entire trip in the different cities but Residence Inn Marriott was the best by far. The lobby was nice. There was an outdoor fireplace beside the swimming pool. There was a pool (billiards) room & a good gym. The hot buffet breakfast was also good. The room was spacious with a nice layout & interior design. The kitchen was great! It had everything you needed including dishwasher, bread toaster, coffee maker, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, wine glasses, utensils, cooking pots & pans, a big microwave & a good full-sized fridge. They even provided dishwashing liquid soap, dishwasher soap for the machine, paper towel etc...
The bathroom was spacious & they had good-smelling & good quality shampoos, conditioner & shower gel. Most times hotels have very poor quality shampoos & conditioners that leave your hair very dry & in tangles but this hotel clearly put in effort into the quality of their rooms & everything in it. The bed & pillows were comfy unlike others which offer very soft beds that don’t provide good back support. The room had plenty of electrical outlets for phone chargers including light lamps on each area with outlets on them. Even the laundry plastic bag was sturdier compared to other hotels which rip easily.
Will definitely be back next year!

We had the one room king bed suite. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Really a great place to stay especially if you want a real refrigerator and a stove top.

The check in was quick and easy. Our suite was decorated beautifully. Now that we know about the kitchenette in the suites, we will take advantage of that whenever we stay there again. I did think the non-refundable $100 fee, I will not call it a deposit because that sounds like you have a chance to get it back, which you don't, is excessive. My dogs did not do anything to the suite we stayed in. They don't even shed. So, that was the only negative thing about the whole thing. It is a very big factor if we have to bring our dogs with us again. But overall we really enjoyed our stay.

There literally isn't a single negative thing I can stay about my experience with the Residence Inn in Camarillo. I have stayed there over 200 days out of the last year and every time I stay I feel very welcome and have been treated with great professionalism. The rooms have a great space and comfort to them and the staff is friendly and always helpful. The grounds are very nicely kept, even during the renovations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who would consider staying in the area, you will not be disappointed.

The rooms are really spacious. I stayed with 3 pets and they had a lot of room to move around. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast had plenty of variety. I would definitely stay here again.

It's a very nice hotel with the best breakfast I've ever had in a place like this. Plenty of places for the dog to use the bathroom and doggy bag dispensers are all over the place here which is great. They even have a tiny convenience store by the front desk. Easy access to the freeway and a nice view of the Santa Monica mountain range are nice bonuses.

We have to stay at a hotel with 2 dogs, my husband and myself since we lost our home in the Woolsey fire. We have been here two weeks with another 2 to go. The staff here have been wonderful and have gone out of their way to accomodate our needs. They even gave us a dining room to use so we could have our family come here for Thanksgiving dinner.

Having the dogs in a hotel room when they are use to a 1/2 acre to run around on has been challenging, but housekeeping has been patient and kind to all of us.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very nice and aesthetically pleasing. I loved how the bed was arranged and they had all the needed appliances that a regular hotel wont have; an oven, dishwasher, microwave, untensils and ceramic plates ready at hand. The employees there were very sociable and jubilant, probably the most resepectable employees ive ever met in a hotel. The location is wonderful because it is near a theme park.

Flawless stay, great room with full kitchenette, friendly and kind staff, free evening snacks & bevvies, complementary breakfast, parking, etc. I'm not a TV watcher but it seemed you needed your own Netflix (other options available too) that you could log in to on their TV to watch. Nice to have your shows on the big screen, but I did not see an option to watch cable TV.

Excellent place to stay. Normal breakfast next morning from 7-10 a.m. Located in the center of two Starbucks.2 miles north or one mile south. Use GPS to get around is a big help. Rooms are great, newly remodeled you can bring food to the kitchen to save money.

It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely courtyard. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel isn't located in a busy area which is nice but there is a gas station across the street and a Subway shop next to it. Our room has a kitchen which has been super helpful!

Great stay. Stayed for a week in June. The rooms were very clean, the staff was helpful, and the free breakfast was better than many places I have stayed at in the past. I even forgot a few items in my room and the staff was more than willing to send them to my home for whatever FEDEX shipping rate I wanted. Thank you for a great stay!
