Hertz Car Rental - Ventura - King Drive HLE

Hertz has changed over the years. As a corporate entity they were once the best. Sadly they have not been up to standard in the past 5 years. The London Hertz used to be my regular for hundreds of rentals, but I stopped using them after they messed up my rental twice. I have had similar issues with Hertz in number of locations. I rent A LOT! However, this Hertz branch has been truly amazing. It has surpassed EVERY Hertz branch I have been using. Despite Hertz being punished by their new strange corporate policies and insane customer service chat system, Omatseyin and his colleague at this branch do everything they can to solve my (multiple) problems over the last 5 rentals. The guys at Ventura have proved time and time again to be the best local team there is. I rate Hertz fairly low these days, but I give the guys in Ventura 5 stars because they try so hard, and they do their best by me EVERY time. Don't punish the locals because their corporate office lets them down. Understaffed and over-worked... these guys deserve a medal and always greet me with a smile! Thank-you guys... you have restored my faith in Hertz (Gold member for YEARS) and I will always come back ONLY to this branch

I’ve rented from Hertz Ventura location for many years. I’m so glad that they’re here. For awhile they had a suboptimal local being ousted by Crown Dodge Chrysler Jeep. Good thing is they’re now in their new digs. They’re a stellar hard working crew. Thank you Omatseyin for your stellar customer service. I had the best experience ever. You went over the top to ensure I was taken care of. I had fun in the Tesla 3. It was my first electric car experience. I love that you and your staff have a room with a view; it’s great for us customers too.

I had a wonderful experience with hertz in ventura. I was very impressed with the service I received. I would definitely rent from this location for all my car rental needs.

Staff was awesome! They quickly found a car at a price covered by my insurance company. My truck was in the body shop getting repaired. The Nissan Altima was clean inside & out. I did have to ask sales staff for assistance on how to adjust driver's seat, side mirrors, etc. This was my first time driving a Nissan.

I rented a Chevy Tahoe to drive to Texas with some close belongings that wouldn't fit in a regular car. The whole rental process was exceedingly easy.
Online, I reserved the car and saw I could do annonline check in and add my debit card. I did this two days before picking up the rental. i was nervous Id have issues once I showed up, but everything was sweet and easy.
The ladies who were there were very kind and helpful and provided nice conversation along with good service.
Also, the no-smoking and credit check some reviewers here somehow missed were adequately laid out and any fees were disclosed right then and there.
The Tahoe I rented was very very clean and is the comfiest car I've ever driven. I didnt want to give it back. I did 2 days straight through from Ca to Texas and my butt didnt hurt once. Plus all of the electronics (maps, bluetooth, handsfree calls and texting) was so helpful.
Returning the car in Texas was very easy as well.
All in all, a great experience that got me, a 25 year old on his first journey through multiple states, to my destination safely and hassle free.
I even was able to add an extra day on by calling and paying a little more since I was taking longer than expected.
Great job Hertz, at being affordable and AWESOME.

Lauren is the absolute best. She seems way overworked yet maintains her professionalism and positive attitude relentlessly. She is the type of person i wish my business was big enough to make room for. I ususally only write reviews when someone is outstanding and Lauren is that and more.

I always use Hertz Ventura location. I’ve never had a bad experience. Very professional and polite staff and clean new cars.

Nice and fast service. Almost always get upgraded. They are friendly. Only downside is that vehicles are older than what I am used with Hertz

Staff really nice / accommodating they let me wait inside didn't let me out in the rain even though it was past 5 thanks guys!
