I have moved more times than I can count in my 71 years, and have been more impressed with Humboldt Moving and Storage than with any other moving company I have been used. I am finally retiring, and moving from McKinleyville to North Carolina. From the time that Derek, their estimator, first came out to give me a budgetary estimate, through the final quote, he kept me informed of what to expect and arrived at a price I considered very fair. Wayne, my driver, and his crew of Ben, Coleman and Owen did a great job of packing and loading. They were on time and brought a small truck to ferry my furniture over to their big semi, which didn't fit in my driveway. They were quick and efficient, and unfailingly polite and professional, being very careful with both my furniture and my walls. They are now east bound and down, and I'm sure my experience on the unloading side will be just as good as it was here in Humboldt.

We just experienced great customer service from beginngvto end with everyone from Humboldt Moving and Storage. From the initial walk through, estimate and contract with Derek to the loading of our household in McKinleyville to delivery at a storage unit in Carson City, NV. Everyone was professional, careful, friendly and efficient. From the driver, Wayne and loading crew, Coleman, Eric and Ben in Mckinleyville they were terrific, Wayne even took a couple of photos for us with my phone. They were on time and did a great job! Our loading was April 9 and delivery was the morning of April 12. We met the truck in Carson City and they were able, to our delight, delivered a full day earlier than initially scheduled. The driver, Wayne, did a great job calling us and giving us updates. The unload crew, Gabriel, Mario and Mario were equally professional, positive, hard working and always taking great care with our belongings. All of our belongings arrived safely! Across the board a great experience! We highly recommend making your move with them.

Well done! We had a complicated move of estate goods across the country. I was impressed with Derek who spoke with me multiple times and addresses all my concerns. I was equally pleased with his team of loaders on this end. They were very proffesional and very careful. The driver who took the load east called and updated me on his progress and arrival plans so I could coordinate with my family on the other end. The load arrived on schedule, the treasures were in good shape and the unloading process went smoothly too. I am please to give Humbolt Moving and Storage a great review. Thank you all!

We had an Eastlake bedframe and dressing table that needed to go upstairs. It's Very Heavy but I can say it was moved with utmost care, there was no banging going upstairs. They also moved a very heavy treadmill downstairs.

The Folks @ Humboldt Movers were excellent and extremely professional. Their team moved a massive 64 gun safe into my home, a task I didn't think possible. They made it look easy, and had this behemoth of a safe in the location I requested, all setup within under an hour! I highly recommend their services and I'll definitely be returning in the future for any/all my moving needs.

I have nothing but respect for the company's leadership prior to the recent change in managing partners. The new president Josh is an amazing mover and has evolved as a manager. His industry knowledge and experience made him an obvious choice to take over with John stepping down in preparation for retirement. Many changes have occurred that are questionable in regard to how the company runs. The credibility and ethics in the local side with the salesman is alarming and the morale is low within the organization.
I have been involved with this company for decades and feel like the mistakes and challenges that are being made can be made right. If you are provided an estimate for service get it in writing and never accept a binding estimate without weight ticket verification or a justified verification of time and services. The prices are already very high without the cushion and ballooning being provided in those binding agreements. The crews are too inexperienced to accept paying top dollar.
Again, it is my experience with the company that I can honestly say to be smart and ask questions, ask for weights, check your paperwork before and after, and always get other quotes to ensure the rates are fair. The leadership is highly capable and experienced but that isn't always reason enough to put your financial guard down.

Humboldt Moving and Storage seriously has efficiency down to a science! Craig, Adam and Nick were the guys that moved us in and they are rockstars! These guys were respectful, polite, professional and hard-working! They made certain to handle our belongings with the utmost care and were precise in regards to placement. I appreciate that they were up front in reference to which of our items were damaged during the first part of our move (through another company).
We would hire this company again in an instant and highly recommend them. Please remember to tip your movers as they are very diligent workers!

There is nothing fun about moving in a pandemic. Add to that the inherent stresses of moving prep and packing with a pre-schooler in tow for the entire process. To ease these stresses, I opted to hire Humboldt Moving & Storage... a decision well made! I believe I spoke with the owner a couple times in making arrangements for their services. He was incredibly nice, informative, and put my concerns at ease with added humor. :) Blaine and Trent arrived on time and were 100% professional. They observed all Covid-19 safety protocols, worked carefully, and efficiently, and paid special attention to details, taking care not only of my belongings, but also of the homes so no damages were incurred throughout the process. Unloading required taking some of my heaviest furniture up two flights of stairs to the third floor. Blaine and Trent rose to the occasion free of any complaints. This was the first time I've invested in professional movers... and the process was so smooth, I'll definitely hire Humboldt Movers & Storage again. Thank you for easing the stress of the move and taking care of all the heavy lifting!

Excellent service. Quick to assess and give fair quote. The rep, Garrett, was punctual, gave clear instruction, and even helped put together one of the larger boxes during the consultation. Courteous and respectful. Can't wait for move day! I feel like we chose the right company!

Getting a quote was easy. They answered all of my questions, even the last minute questions I had the day of the move without making me feel dumb. I was able to make arrangements for the move while I was out of state and then meet the movers to actually move the things from my mom's estate. They helped me try to figure out other possible solutions to get her things to my house, but I ended up with the door to door service because of the convenience and they were just so helpful!!!

My things were delivered quicker than expected and I absolutely loved the guys that unloaded our things. They were very personable, helpful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. This is the 2nd time I used Humboldt Moving & Storage. 1st time was in 97, when I moved away from home. I'm so glad they have such good service, even after all of those years.

Excellent job of bringing the piano down a flight of stairs that turned at the landing. Required a 360 turn of the piano, in tight quarters, on stairs. They rocked it! AND came in at the bottom end of the estimate. Professional work, very courteous.

So happy I was able to arrange movers to bring my new refrigerator into the house on short notice. The delivery driver could only bring it to the curb.
