I want to extend my huge thanks to John and Rich—and the whole team—at Hubbard’s German Auto. From the moment I called and spoke with Rich to explain the problem with my car and my time pressure to beat a snowstorm during my trip from LA to Portland, to the time less than 24 hours later that I picked up my car after John completed the repair work on it, I experienced nothing short of exceptionally friendly people and excellent service, and enjoyed a few nice conversations about cars and travel to boot. If you are ever in the Eureka CA area and need an outstanding shop to work on your old or newer 911/Porsche, or any other brand they service, this is it! Thank you Hubbard’s German Auto!

Knowledgeable, friendly lot. Helpful to do it yourselfers sharing tips, advice, and willingness to help get real OE parts instead of going to O reillys or napa.

The best way I can describe this shop is with a story: Back in 2010 I had some work done on an E36 M3 BMW, they overcharged me for a part (I didnt even realize) when they realized, they contacted me to let me know that they would be refunding me the difference. Never had a bad time or negative thing to say. Whether it's a simple brake job, oil change, or a full transmission replacement, these guys have never done me wrong!

They couldn't help me, but they recommended the right place for my sprinter. Definitely good people.

If you need your German car running smooth again, these are your guys! Great work

I took my Mercedes in for a headlamp change. They had the part in stock and I was back on the road in 15 minutes, even though the shop was busy. They have a comfortable waiting room with drinks and snacks. The shop deals with all German cars, even the rarer models. It is great to have a shop like this in our community.
7/25/22 Update: My wife and I have used Hubbard's exclusively for our 3 German cars since moving to the area in 2019. Not once has the shop failed to provide fantastic and FRIENDLY service in a timely manner. I cannot recommend them highly enough! As above, this shop is a true resource for the area.

These are come through guys. So rare to find mechanics. Knowledgeable ethical. Third time review. so happy to find local experts. Total pros. Handled engine trouble, they also did some extra little things like lubricate my squeaky door without even mentioning it etc

I don’t know what to say that would adequately describe what a great auto shop this is. Nico, John, and Turk turned my disastrous road trip into one that got me safely back on the road in record time. They were thoughtful and genuinely cared about the work I needed done, as well as, answer any question I had. They really are remarkable!

The best place in town for German cars hands down. They took the time to track down and fix the myriad of issues my old 911 had and now it's in great condition mechanically and cosmetically. Friendly, professional, and they always give my car back washed & know how to wash a car so they don't butcher the paint! I can't recommend these guys enough for problematic or older German cars.

Genuinely amazing staff. They worked to make sure that my vehicle was well taken care of. They give you a call to update you on every step and ultimately do what is best for your vehicle. Will be giving them my services as long as I live in the area and I recommend this company with high regard.

Very friendly people out here. I came in on my 2005 Hyundai Elantra for a headlight fix, obviously not a car they typically work on. The worker came out and checked it anyways and was able to switch out the bulb. So appreciative, they could have easily recommended that I go somewhere else.

These fine folks made my day today. It was a small gesture but it couldn't have come at a better time. I haven't had any work done here yet but they demonstrated today that they are extremely knowledgeable and care about their customers.

As a woman, I am often talked down to in auto repair shops, even by well-meaning folks. It doesn't bother me that much but it's always a breath of fresh air to be treated with respect by auto mechanics.

My mechanic (who I have also reviewed -- gotta give Dave a shout-out) sent me over because they had a part that he doesn't stock. I'll still take my old car to my classic Volvo specialist but I'll be adding Hubbard's to my list of trusted mechanics as well.

They didn’t have the part we needed but found it for us. Diagnosed the problem and didn’t charge us anything. Really great group.

Hubbards has serviced my BMW & Audi for the past 5 years and I've been nothing but satisfied and thrilled at the work that the crew has done. With any import the work will be expensive, but the investment in Hubbards level of quality is well worth it. I've recommended them highly for the past several years and have heard from friends that their service is always top-notch.

Their staff is always a pleasure to connect with, and a joy to aimlessly chat with. They provided my wife and I insights into which car to purchase, helping us review documentation & extend warranty information and provided input after a major car accident nearly totally out our Audi.

Only reason I'm no longer servicing my car at Hubbards is that I'm leaving California. However, with friends and family locally whenever I visit plan on having the guys here check my cars and make sure things are working with German Precision.

Despite Covid and dropping in without an appointment they were able to give us peace of mind on a long road trip.

Check engine light came on and tire pressure was wrong, they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix the tire pressure in a car they weren't familiar with. They did all this without any cost, great service

The gentlemen at Hubbards have been really generous with their time for me.
I purchased a 2001 Jetta from them about five years ago. It had been rear-ended and the trunk didn't lock, but other than that it's been a great transportation automobile.
For the last five years, the guys have attended to every small problem I've had with it and frankly, it hasnt needed any major work done, not even tires. That car cost me $3000. I have been treated like I bought a $100,000 Mercedes. That is what customer service is about. My Jetta has finally died and they told me today they'd be happy to check out a newer Jetta I'm looking at.

Got good service, didn't get reamed when taking my car in, and had a small handful of good laughs while checking out with friendly staff.

Super nice guys. Very helpful and fair. I was just passing through and these guys had my sprinter diagnosed and patched up in under an hour. Would recommend to any and all.
