Oak River Rehab

I am currently staying with them following an unexpected two way bypass. I was not able to take care of my self at home but with their help I soon will. The nurses are great and to those who complain about unreasonable wait times, sometimes several call lights go off at the same time. The nurses and nurses aides scramble to take care of their patients needs as quickly as possible. I've seen therapists, housekeeping, and even office staff helping where they could. Nobody wants to be here but if you need some help this is a good place to get it.

My mother has been in Oak River for 6 years and I am very pleased with the facility. She has been well taken care of and she feels it is her home. She loves the staff who hugs her frequently and makes her feel like she is part of a big family. Whenever it is her birthday or a holiday, they provide a joyful atmosphere of celebration and inclusiveness.
There is transparency between staff and our family where both sides feel comfortable to reach out to each other.

The director, Greg Hollingsworth, and the staff interact pro-actively and notify us of any potential issues before they become a problem. They are responsive to her needs as well as our family’s needs and concerns, interacting with us on a personable level. One example is that during the COVID pandemic they kept us informed and kept her safe and advised us as soon as we were allowed to visit. One can tell that their compassionate attitude is genuine.

I highly recommend Oak River to any potential resident and their family.

My wife & I had a serious car accident on 1/8/23. After we were repaired, we were residents at Oak River Rehab until 3/31/23. We were treated professionally and kindly by every member of the staff from every department. We even developed friendships with staff members! If you or a loved one needs rehab, you couldn't do any better than Oak River Rehab.

Oak River Rehab and Nursing center is an excellent, caring, and wonderfully managed center. Shelly went out of her way to help the process of enrollment for my mom to be as smooth as possible. Heather the Charge nurse at the time kept me updated and informed on moms care. Moms hair was styled and her nails were kept painted and manicured. This is definitely a 5 star place. Our family will forever be grateful for their care. We were sorry we had to move mom out of state to a center close to me, her daughter. We miss you Oak River!

I came in here not being able to walk 😒 or use my hands. Without these wonderful people I don't know how I would ever have come back. The staff is amazing 👏, and ❤ I love them. They treated me like family.

My Mom just passed away and I can not say enough positive things about the staff and Comfort Care services she received during her stay at Oak River Rehab. The staff was very companionate, highly available, kind, caring and very qualified to make my Moms final days on earth as comfortable as possible. They were also very kind in checking on my sister and I to see if we needed anything so we could spend as much time by my Moms side.

This place has a great and caring staff. I would be happy to put any one of my family members or refer a friend to come to this rehab. The staff is always going above and beyond to make the patients stay the best possible stay. It is a great environment for healing and a place for people to heal and recover from illness. They not only take serious care and compassion with their skilled rehab patients but the long term team is top notch. Each and every staff, as evidence when walking through the door, from the time you enter until the time you leave will always go out of their own way to make you warm and welcome and will see to your needs in you journey to recovery from whatever has been thrown your way. They have a great staff of energetic compassionate and loving individuals.

I recently spent two weeks at Oak River following surgery. The nursing staff was very caring and attended to my every need. The same for the CNA's.

I had physical therapy everyday and worked with Bruce and Stephen. Both are excellent therapist. Bruce is a true shining star and took the time to address every question I had.

My time here was excellent and I would recommend Oak River to anyone needing a little help before going home.

The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of Mileah . Sometimes it's stressful having a loved one in a home and not able to get to them as much but she just lend an ear and it definitely made me feel better. The other staff members were not as attentive...

I spent many months with the Oak River team as an Administrator-In-Training where I witnessed first hand how incredible this team is, and how much they care for their residents and staff. The pandemic hitting did not slow this team down in their tenacity to do what is right for those they are entrusted to care for. Families and friends of the residents were always boasting about this team, and I can agree, they are phenomenal!

When my friend and roommate suffered a major stroke, he was sent to oak river. We found the staff to be very friendly, caring, professional and helpful. The aides were all so great in trying to be there and be helpful.
The PT's were all great. Food was tasty. His experience of being there for a few months was enjoyable, he was actually sad to be leaving as he made many friends there.

My wife Marilyn "Louise" Goold has been a patient at Oak River for the past six weeks. During this time I have had the opportunity to speak with and observe the care givers doing very exceptional work that makes very trying circumstances bearable. My mom was here and the staff was so nice!! She was there for almost a month, and had recovered from her fx, but the best part was she was stronger than ever! I would highly recommend this place!

I don't have any family members that live here, but from the awesome conversation I had over a mistake, no less! I would indeed have my family members stay here. Super nice staff!!
