Small quiet on site owners and very nice people. Very comfortable beds and great heating and AC in the summer. Small dog park and outdoor area and beautiful sunrises looking East over Mount Lassen.

A little tricky to find as the entrance sign is small. Our room was small but clean and well supplied. Service was non-intrusive but excellent. Great value for the money so 5 stars.

I've been staying here when this far north on the east side of my territory. Always clean and easy to do work with, even during the "covid" period...

I arrived on a super hot evening, surprised to find out that the manager had turned on the AC for me before my arrival. That was so sweet!
The motel provided earplugs. I did not need it. But I appreciate it! The room also came with a microwave, a fridge, a dresser and a king size bed. Great value!
It feels like a mom-and-pop store. And the style of the decorations are unique. Highly recommend.

Great stay. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. AC works and the tap water is actually the tastiest tap water I've ever tasted. It is a little noisy by the freeway.

After a very funny check in we had a great night after and before a long drive. Spacious and comfortable room and close to everything you need. The employee helping us was extremely nice and (that) helped us a lot. Even though it was 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) while we were there last summer the airco did its job.
It's literally a few yards/feet/meters from the interstate so don't expect a very quiet hotel

Anytime I visit family, I stay here. Robin and Alicia go out of their way to make sure my stay is comfortable.

Unplanned last minute overnight on our trip North, and stayed here because of the reviews. In the daytime we may have driven right past it. Unassuming “Old Style” motel, enchanting staff, clean rooms, and the beginning of our affinity for this town. We’re eating breakfast across the street at Kenny’s Kitchen, where it appears the entire town grabs coffee and breakfast. Will definitely overnight here again!

Very friendly staff and good price, AC was on when we arrived, rooms are dated but very clean. Nice mom and pop motel would definatly recommend and stay again.

Travelers Motel

The Alamo is under new management so everything has improved. The rooms are much cleaner, the over all appearance is great. The bathroom/showers are super clean too. The new owner is a great guy.

Quiet area

We were being evacuated from home due to fires and the people here were super helpful by working with us and our 4 dogs to have a room for 2 weeks. They were very nice and understanding throughout the whole ordeal. The property and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. There is an area to walk your dog that has plenty of room
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is traveling through the area, especially with pets.

Everything was perfect from calling to reserve our room to check out. Nice smaller motel very clean, bed was very comfortable, warm water, outside was clean, nice table chairs. The pictures on the site don't lie. And as for the owners they are the best very kind and nice they walk you through everything and you are a person not a number with them. They told us about the Mexican restaurant just down the road it was excellent. We will refer any and everyone and we will be back. Thank you, Doreen and Pat Lucy🐕and Walter🐟

Went there to rent a uhaul trailer. They were extremely helpful.

#1 - Excellent hosts, couldn’t be any more helpful and down to earth.
#2 - Rooms are spacious, clean & quiet both times I’ve stayed there.
#3 - Location, location, location. There’s so much to do in the area and your gateway is Interstate 5 and it’s a stones throw away.

Wow, you can feel the love with which this place was built, decorated and is maintained. Some of the sweetest people run this place, absolute worth the money, so close to the highway too

I loved my stay at the travelers motel. Everything was clean and efficient. The owners were nice. The freeway can be loud if you’re sensitive to noises while you sleep but I just kept my A/C on all night which totally drowned out all the noise. Highly recommended! Also, call ahead to let them know when you’re arriving. A lot of people in these reviews complaining about nobody being around to check them in didn’t do this.
