Absolutely some of the best Chinese Food in shasta county at the price point. Great flavor, great quality, and great portions.

My first impression of the restaurant is that they had a nice variety of foods and the dining area looked pretty nice. I took pics while waiting for our order to share my observations; i'll get back to this later.

Food is pretty good for the price. Large portions, food seems to be prepared at such a fast pace. The vegetables are placed in each dish rather chunky so it is pretty difficult to serve with the simple plastic utensils that they provide you with. We ordered the almond chicken, the potstickers, the general tao chicken, the vegetable fried rice, the pork chow mein and brocoli beef. My favorite was the potstickers, almond chicken and general tao chicken and pork chow mein). I ordered mostly from reading the reviews that others had posted so thanks to the other foodies like me.) the were a party of 4 not including a young child (4.5) The child was really keen on the potstickers. Anyways, based on reviews i understand why people generally eat out bc they lack proper serving spoons, food isn't well mixed; u have a fork and spoon and styrofoam plates. The portions themselves were so big that i think our party could still be eating the leftovers for two more days. The bill came to about 90$. Really really cheap; think that the restaurant owners are really humble and considerate to customers. Even the cold refrigerated drinks near the cash register for customers to buy are thoughtfully priced and less than you'd expect to pay for bottled drinks in other restaurants. I could see us coming back. I recommend this restaurant to others for being a honest thoughtful business.

I love this place! Any time in Shasta Lake, I always go there. They give so much meat in their dishes for the price it's set to.

With inflation making it nearly impossible to eat out and afford to have what we'd expect as the normal amount of meat in a dish, I'm so happy that there are still some businesses that manage to keep their prices low while not cutting their protein servings in half.

It's also cooked and ready to go within minutes while being delicious. My go-to with Chinese food is Beef Broccoli, I've had high-end to low-end versions, and theirs is great!

My bf ordered shrimp fried rice. Their shrimp was huge and perfectly cooked to the ideal texture!

Their sides like the chicken, they give you a TON. Overall great food for an affordable price, and you'll probably have leftovers.

Definitely delicious! Fresh crisp veggies and meats are tender and succulent. Huge portions. Large menu selections. Prices are amazingly low for the amount and quality of food you receive.

This is by far our favorite Chinese food in all of the Redding area! They are so fast every time, the food is always amazing, and they give you so much! Well worth the money and the short drive to shasta lake city!

Excellent place to tame your cravings for Chinese food., I ordered chow mein, fried rice, and Kung pao chicken for dinner and it was so yummy. Will definitely recommend it to everyone, plus lady tending the place was nice and the place was clean and in good order. 👍🤩.

Food is one of the best Chinese food in Northern California. Whenever we are in the Redding area it's a must.

Always good and the service faster than most. Delivery is definitely a plus. We go here usually at least once a month.

Delicious! Generous portions and reasonably priced food. I decided to pop in on a whim and I'm sure glad I did. The staff was friendly and the service was speedy. I will be going back for sure.

I had the general chicken & chowmein lunch bowl and it was delicious!! Full of flavor and the perfect amount of heat (I love spicy food). The food was also filled to the rim. The only downfall was they went a little too heavy on the sauce from the general chicken, it made the chowmein soupy. Other than that it was very yummy. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes.

We love this place! The kung pao is fantastic and the chow mein noodles are addictive! The toothsome texture of the noodle is what keeps me craving them!! They give you huge servings that last me at least 3 to 4 meals!! Go for it...you won't be disappointed! They do a rockin take out and delivery service! I just ate at this place last night and just writing about it has me craving more! Looks like Chinese for breakfast! Yum! 🤪

Unbelievable food massive portions and super quick. The food was delicious I wish we had a place like this in the Portland Oregon area

Been getting food here many years. Always good. Oil is fresh and hot so food is always done well. Nothing fancy reminds me of places I used to go in SF long ago for quick Chinese food after hours. Super easy off freeway and back. Small for eating in. Reasonable pricing and you get plenty of food and great staff!

Hunan chicken bowl and egg flower soup. Super good. I love stopping here on my way back from Oregon.

Food is on par with good sit down restaurants in Redding, but you get more bang for the buck.
Unless you're a big eater, one box or combo will easily feed two.

This Oriental Express keeps impressing me every time. The cultural aspects of the store make me smile and want to bring my friends with me. The portions are yuge, and when I call in, the workers are helpful in getting my order to how I enjoy it. Thank you for being so awesome. My coworkers and I have other employees in Redding now, driving out to Shasta Lake City for your delicious food. We will keep spreading the word.

Always nice staff, food is always done on time when I pick it up. The food is so delicious. Family dinner for 3 is always our go-to and the crab meat wontons.

This place has hella good food and the portion size is off the hook
