U-Haul Moving & Storage of Redding

I had an amazing experience! I have never rented anything of any kind, but UHAUL made everything AMAZINGLY SIMPLE! I had to relocate for a job opportunity and for the chance to start a new life in a new area. I rented the biggest truck they had. It was a brand new truck from what I could tell. It had low mileage and it ran great. It was a 200 mile trip, and that truck kept me comfortable the entire way. Returning the truck was SUPER EASY, I just dropped it off to the lot attendant guy. I will always choose UHAUL!

Eric, Brandon and Matt were so helpful and so awesome! We got scheduled and in and out quickly. They do fast and precise work in quick time. They know what they’re talking about and had incredible customer service. Thanks guys!!

I have been to several Uhaul dealerships and this is one of the best. The service is great and everyone is knowledgeable and helpful.

Eric the manager was very professional and accommodating. He went in detail on a lot of aspects of the truck rental experience, he even provided tips to help saving money. I highly recommend the services at Redding U-Haul.

Gage had a positive attitude even though he was out in the 110 degree weather putting the trailer on. The other gentleman that helped the day before was very helpful in getting me the trailer’s I needed. Thank you UHaul guys!

Easy, quick pickup and they had the size truck I reserved. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drop-off was just as quick and easy. They also carried tape and moving boxes in the store which was very handy.

I love having a large space to move with. However, all of my belongings smell like marijuana, because that is the smell that came with the truck.

U haul overall as a company throughout the years to me has been good, but not great.... I'd say about 3.5 - 4 stars. But, with the horrific events of the Carr fire in Redding this last week, I am giving this location 5 stars. They helped me get in and out with a tow dolly in no time last Sat, even with the fire still raging just a couple miles away. I live about 15 miles away but there was a section of the fire headed my way so I picked up the tow dolly as a precaution for a classic car of mine, that way I had it ready if needed. Luckily the fire never made it to my home and I was able to return it unused after 3 days. Even though I had it 3 days, the guys there were nice enough to only charge me for 1 day since I never actually needed it. With this act of kindness I will be sure to pay the money they saved me forward to the victims of this terrible tragedy. Stay strong and vigilant Redding and neighboring areas.... we will recover. I was absolutely blown away by the service I received. So kind and professional. Their system was down when I was there so it was highly stressful but they handled it all with such grace and poise I was very impressed and would use them again in a heartbeat!

As always, this location is the absolute BEST! I needed to rent a trailer however, I was not aware my vehicle was not equipped to tow one! These guys explained everything to me, nicely, professionally and even though I didn't end up using my own vehicle, I was able to secure another one and still managed to rent the trailer same day! I like that they have a service to answer their phones so they can give their customers in store 100% attention! Thanks again, to the entire staff!

Recently I had an issue with my trailer hitch system that was installed only a few short months ago. I went to and called over 20 different Uhaul locations with no success of getting this issue handled.

This Uhaul was not only able to help me out, but also did so with such amazing customer service. The people in this unit are phenomenal!

It's great I do craft and antique shows get a van each time and it's great to have the ease loading in and out.

I have used this U Haul site twice now and both times could not have gone better. The first time I went in to rent a dolly to move a refrigerator which they had. I had it about an hour and when I returned it they said no charge. They hoped I would come back, and I did
I rented a truck for two days. When I put gas it in I realized the gauge never moved. when I brought it back and showed them the receipts, they waived the mileage fee for my inconvenience
I would recommend this business and would use them whenever I need to move something
