Red Lion Hotel Redding

I stay here at least once per year when traveling for work. This hotel exceeds expectations in location, convenience of location and on-site amenities, and availability of port friendly rooms. The staff are great, I enjoy the food, and the rooms are comfortable.

It is admittedly a bit of a perpetual construction site but I appreciate that they are working to overhaul an older building and making notable progress. I'll stay here again frequently.

Very satisfied with the cleanliness and the view of the pool. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the pool or jacuzzi due to the weather. I can't wait to be back in the fall. At check-in, Rusell was very friendly and courteous.

We stay in Redding often. We have tried almost all the hotels there all seem to have major issues. This one is hands down the cleanest and kindest hotel. Staff was incredibly kind, rooms were clean. Nothing over the top fancy inside hallways could use a vacuum however rooms spot on and a simple yet pleaseent breakfast area. We will most definitely make this our new stopping area.

This is the most popular convention spot in Shasta County. The configuration of the facility lends itself to flexibility and adapts to different size requirements. The lobby is suited for receiving visitors, the staff is also accommodating. Last but not least is the kitchen: Their talent is on display on every plate they serve. First class fare in a professional setting.

Redding, CA. Love this hotel with heart and a great Redding feel to it. Every staff person we met there was pleased with their hotel. It’s being renovated and the gym, bathrooms, breakfast area and lobby are wonderful. The community likes their restaurant, Three Shastas, too, for its fun activities and new chef.

Christine checked us in and proudly told us the breakfast buffet was great, with real scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and a host of other options. You could have the regular coffee or pay to order Peet’s coffee from their snazzy coffee bar. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which we received as complimentary; it was $8.99 for the regular public which was a bargain compared to Denny’s, etc.

Christine also bragged on the Three Shastas restaurant. It had a great menu but we were out and about too late for that. But I read the reviews for it and people love it. As for the gym it looked new and people were always using it.

Our room was clean and felt rustic and cozy with a view of the pretty pool area. It had a good feel to it; it wasn’t modern but we liked the homey vibe it evoked. The AC/heat was easy to use. The bathroom was bright with a good shower.

There are great restaurants nearby and it’s near the I-5 and Churn Creek Road. In the back they have an electric ChadeMo charger for older EVs.

We’ll definitely stay here again.

I came to Redding for a hospital visit at Mercy.. I found out my cancer has spread & that I was no longer in remission; That being said Both ladies at the front Desk were incredibly compassionate & caring. Helped me walk to my room & made sure I was comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Small kind gestures like that are often hard to come by nowadays. Next time im in Redding I will definitely be staying here again. Thank You ❤

Very nice stay. The food was exceptional, with talented live music. Exercise room surprisingly well equipped, and the sizeable pool and hot tub were lively. Pillows, bedding, and mattress were of high quality, with good water pressure and heat. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Spotless rooms, comfortable bed, super staff. What more can you ask for? I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, Staff is very friendly and helpful specially in our show yesterday, you can rent the parking lot for a Car Show, the inside for a Reptile Show or any special occasion.

Cecile and Astara exuded excellent customer service from check in till check out. This hotel is a hidden gem in beautiful Redding, makes you feel your in old America with posh decor and family fun amenities. Had ev charging available cheaper than super charger!

Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean . No problem with late check out. The breakfast restaurant was cheap and good .location was convenient

The rooms are great - they're large with everything you need for a comfortable stay and the best thing is the large swimming pool with a hot tub just beside it; they're great and there are plenty of chairs for relaxing by the pool. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - enjoy!

Located right off the I5 so perfect for transiting through. The staff go above and beyond to assist travelers. The gym was good all equipment working and maintained. The pool is great with cabanas. Excellent stay

The rooms are nice. Hot tub and pool are nice. Had to ask for pool towels out by the pool since they're all gone. The restaurant sucked! We bought meals for everybody and spent $250. There was a band. In the middle of our meals they came asking for $5 cover charge for the band! They couldn't even wait to wear done eating. Not cool!

This review is a little overdue. We stayed during the July 4th weekend during our visit to Shasta. Courtney at front was extremely nice and helpful. She made our stay very pleasant. We had some issue with our room and they were able to accommodate at a smaller different room even though they were almost full. They also provided a roll on bead since there was not sufficient beds in the new room for 3 of us. My daughter absolutely loved the pool. It is bigger than any other pool I have seen in hotels. One side was 8 feet deep that allowed her to enjoy diving in the pool and she had a lot of fun. The breakfast was decent. The bed could have been a little better and one night we could hear the shower from the next room. Not a big deal for us and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would definitely stay there during our next visit. .

Our room was spotless, under $100, and the bed was comfortable. What more can you ask for?

Steven, the maintenence person is awesome and helped with the T.V. in our room. The free breakfast was really good, scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage were served on the morning we stayed. There was also bread, oatmeal and a make your own waffle machine. And they have Peets coffee.

Their breakfast dude is amazing and the front counter people are super friendly

I was here for a week a really enjoyed staying at this hotel. There was live music every night. The pool was fantastic and really clean. The room was also very clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast and great cocktails!! The thing I liked the most was my privacy. When I needed towels and more coffee, they promptly brought me some. I didn't have to worry about anyone coming into my room unless I wanted them too. The staff was helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay
