This is my favorite local park. It has two small ponds full of turtles and carp. Deer are often present in the mornings. Great place to pretend you are in nature in the middle of the suburbs.

Great place for a quick walk! Not to much shade, but there is turtles in the ponds and you can fish there. An all around good time.

Took my nephews RC boat down to the pond. Drove around the glass til we ran out of daylight, then took an old shoe we found to a nearby trash.

Quiet preserve, with ponds, marshes, and riparian woodland. Terrific bird & nature watching opportunities.

The preserve is best accessed by walking the High Line Canal (parking @ E. Orchard Rd) or Lee Gulch Trails (parking at Castlewood Park).

Beautifull area, didn't get to see much of the preserve as I was on a bike ride and only stopped to see the area around us.

It's difficult to get to. I always park in the neighborhood and hike over to it. It has bass and bluegil in the water. It also has some turtles.

It is wonderful to see this Open Space Preserve along the Highline Canal. I encountered it while hiking the Highline canal with Walk2Connect.

The gas main right of ways are interesting, weaving between million dollar properties, it was surreal.
