favorite library. great selection of books and the seating in here is really, really good. there are so many different kinds of chairs to sit in! it’s finals week and you have to study for hours on end without distraction? sit in one of the study rooms with the big tables. you want to lounge in a comfy chair and read by the fire? sit in one of their comfortable chairs by the fire. you want a desk and outlet for work or school or whatever you’re doing? sit at those cool, squiggly cubicle desk things or the square tables by the window. they’ve got it all, really. whoever decorated for christmas also needs a raise, because the themed christmas trees and the book tree thing upstairs are works of art and really add to the coziness. i owe my sanity to this place<3 xoxo

Amazing community resource with great amenities for those visiting in person, and a vast array of information and services online (title locator, e-books, audio-books, Hoopla, and more). Families with children, I so wish libraries were like this when my children were young! Thank you DCL. Special thanks to the Highlands Ranch branch personnel who are wonderful.

Nice location, plenty of parking, and lots of events for kids. The staff is very welcome and engaging. They also have plenty of computers available to use.

Great library for children. They have a large children's book section with a large play area (prentend marketplace). They have story hour everyday for the different age groups, and the storyteller is very interactive. Also, they allow you to take out up to 200 units at a time! The grounds are well kept, and there is a playground and park there too. We like to bring our lunch and have a picnic outside after we visit the library. We read our books outside. The staff is very friendly, and the hold process is easy. They also offer so many other things when you get a card. For example, you can get free passes to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. To be honest, I haven't checked out the other sections, but I would definitely make this place a regular weekly stop if you have young children.

Great space. Sitting areas upstairs and the patio were very nice. All is clean. Staff is happy and treats everyone really well. Some kids screaming at times but there is a special place for them downstairs. Really well run location.

The library was: clean, quiet, well laid out, stocked, and I enjoyed my experience there.

It's been so long, since I've been to a library. It felt so nice to walk back into one and be greeted with such amazing and friendly Staff. Got my self my first library card in years and it felt so refreshing! Can't wait to lose myself again and this is the perfect place to do it.

this library is beautiful and has tons of resources. Lynn Marie even took a good amount of time showing me the layout of the library and the resources on the website as well as how to navigate around the website. super duper cool and informative. it’s also just such a peaceful environment to sit in, i’ll be here often!

It is a wonderful place to hang out at. It's a great place to study and I absolutely love that it has a balcony.

LOVE this library. We are new to the area. My infant and I went to story time today at this location and had so much fun. :) I wish you guys had a store that sold reusable tote bags and stickers with your logo. I'd gladly wear your logo. We'll be back!

Wonderful library with great selection, especially ebooks. They were helpful in quickly arranging access to interloan materials for research. The first floor has always been a little loud with children and children's activities but the second floor is usually quiet with many places to sit. I love how accessible the materials are (especially digital) and the staff has always been helpful.

A nice little library branch. As always, a very friendly, helpful staff. Each branch has a differently themed children's area. This one is a US Post Office/UPS theme with an office, uniforms, mail, and a delivery truck. Kids love it.

I walked into the library not expecting much, but the book I was going there for.

I just moved into the area and had no idea where to go and as if God sent my guardian angel into the flesh came along Donna!
She showed me how the whole library functions; Walking with me to each section and explaining the new technology they implemented here, but the best part was when she showed me the learning courses that they offer!!

My mind was blown - She has completely made my whole month.

I would also like to mention Nicole who showed me the new book section!

I've read some reviews complaining about the noise from children and I can confirm this is a more social library, but how I see it is everyone here is just happy; The children are happy to be there, the parents are happy to be there, and it seems the staff enjoys their job which says a lot about an establishment.

I am proud to call this my new library!

Best library in Douglas County, even better than the brand new Castle Rock one. Love the balcony right next to the park

Great library overall with a big selection and helpful staff. The kids area is great with lots of children's book.

Prior to Covid they had a game area with a bunch of board games on one side of the 1st level and a kids area with computers, and a cool place for the kids to play and pretend they were at a grocery store.

Upstairs they have a lot of private desks for studying and study rooms for working with 2 to 5 people in private. Lastly, there is a large quiet room that has comfortable seating that is reserved just for reading.

Love the updates. Lots of study areas. Great staff. Always friendly and helpful. Love how they are much more approachable throughout the facility with the updates. Storytime room is great. Though much busier than before. Love the kids area including the Lego table. My one year old is small and she can still stand and play with the Legos.

Highlands Ranch branch of DCL is great, large collection of both fiction and nonfiction. The recent remodel has really improved the space and made it much more comfortable. Great place to browse and find something new to read.

This public library in Highlands Ranch was recently remodeled and looks absolutely stunning. They did a really good job with completely redesigning the entire library and it looks very spacious and modern now. They also completely revamped and enlarged the children's area and added some new sections that other libraries don't have. It is absolutely worth checking it out with your kids!
