El Paso County Recording Department

Went in on a Saturday to get our marriage license. We arrived early and the line was already pretty long. But even before the official opening time, the line moved quickly and we were out in minutes! The County Clerk was even holding the door open and greeting everyone, which was nice to see.

We waited approximately 45 minutes to pick up our new plates and to receive a placard for disabled parking. When our number was called, we went to the window of
Charlyn M. She was very well-informed. Being new to the state of Colorado, we had a few questions. She was very well-informed, and took her time to make sure we understood everything we needed to know ( including why the cost of registering a vehicle was almost seven times more expensive then the state we came from). Charlyn did a great job. She represents the state of Colorado with class.

The wait was lengthy as expected but the service was great! The people I spoke with were helpful, patient and friendly.

Have been here 5 times to register multiple vehicles in the last few months. Had anywhere from a 2 hour wait to a 4.5 hour wait. Understaffed and disinterested staff don't help.

Went Saturday and the office was closed for nor reason.

Completely unprofessional, lazy and their manager literally said; that she enjoys being petty, they refuse to provide any assistance what so ever. I highly advise choosing a different location.
