Writers Vista Park

Absolutely stunning view. I'm jealous the kids get to climb all the way up the awesome play structure and have safe birds eye view of the scenery of the lake and the gorgeous mountain range behind it. Beautiful wide open space for the pups to run around and play with owners, baseball field, basketball goals for the hoopers, and new bathroom facility slated to open very soon, as well as spacious gazebo for parties and hanging out, and last but not least cycling station for air and minor repairs! Highly recommended for the kiddos and adults all the same.

Great winter stroll with views! Paved walking path goes about 1/2 mile ending in a neighborhood. Reservoir is visible, but I would imagine in the summer the trees block a good portion of the view. With no foliage in the winter a bald eagle was easily visible in a tree near the water as well as abundant waterfowl, ducks and geese.

This park has it all for families. Plus there is bathrooms which is great! There are multiple paths you can walk on and gorgeous view of the mountains while the kids play. My favorite thing is in the bigger kids play area there is a rope obstacle they have to get through to go down the slide. So kids can't be pushing each other.

We love this park because of scenery of the Rockies as well as the reservoir. Besides our pup loves walking and running here!

GrEat place for break time in the heat. A BEAUTIFUL bridge with a river,moms and kids out and about. Nice!

Lovely park amazing views.

This is a small park but nicely kept up and clean. The playground is updated and the sidewalk is wide so bikers and walkers can be around each other safely.

Nice park with a trail (pretty big slide for your kids)

My family's favorite park has a great playground, plus soccer and baseball field. Parking is easy and the views are great. It has a 2 story slide!

I just parked and enjoyed the sunset. It was nice to see and hear kids outside playing in the park. They were out well after dark which is nice to see these days and means danger was not lurking.

A wonderful park for kids and adults to enjoy... with a fabulous view of the foothills!

Cute Park stopped to haber picnic lunch didn't think about the wind. Park itself was clean and the views off the reservoir were pretty. Playground was all updated equipment

Great playground. It is divided into two sections. One for toddlers and another geared for older kids. Most kids will go to both but gravitate to the area that is geared for them. There is a covered pavilion with lots of tables. If you are a biker, there's a good repair and pump station. Lots of benches around the playground as well. The bathrooms were clean every time we went.

A great little park off the beaten path that is never that busy. Be warned though, if your 5yr old tried to get you to climb the ropes to the top with them, just remember this review. Some of those holes up there are sized for a kid, not an adult... Enjoy!

Great place to pick up the trail along the Highline Canal.

Great place to meet others for social distance get-together. It has at least 80 year old pine trees for shade, but bring your own chairs. Only 2 picnic tables that I know of. Great playground for preschool kids, and wide open park area for older kids and adults. Also fairly nice men's and women's restrooms.

I was here long enough to write a few haikus and start a screenplay. Its a feel good movie about senior citizens who vandalize and beat up those arrogant rude 20 something rats. Then they get smart and turn their group into a crime syndicate. Grey Panthers, heading to production spring of 2923

A challenging park with different obstacles than a usual playground. To get to the tall slide kids have to climb up a rope course instead of ladder or steps. Usually pretty quiet and not over run with kids. The highline canal trail also provides some extra activities.

This is potentially my favorite park! It has a fantastic playground and a great covered area with indoor bathrooms. The field, trees, and trails are also great aspects of this park. I would highly recommend it for all ages of kids and adults!
