Kusler's Compounding Pharmacy

I go here for my cat's medication that needs to be compounded. Everyone here is very friendly and competent. This pharmacy is so much better than the other compounding pharmacy in the area. I highly recommend using them for any compounding services that you need.

My cats needed compounds (ones old, the other a heart condition). Kuslers is the BEST PLACE to go for compounded kitty meds. Customer for life. Thank you for amazing service!!

We have been purchasing medications for our two dogs here for some time. The associates and pharmacists at Kuslers are kind, knowledgeable, and always go the extra mile. We could utilize an online compounding pharmacy for our boys, but we are so happy with Kuslers. We would not change a thing.

We have used their pharmacy for our dog for almost 3 years and love it! They are very detailed in the orders, confirm shipping or pick up for delivery and get it to us in a reasonable amount of days. It’s nice to know we can count on them.

EDIT: I received a call from Shelby at Kusler’s shortly after posting this review. He listened to my concerns and experience, and refunded me for the overnight shipping charge. I appreciate his effort, and I think it shows a lot about Kusler’s as a company that they are willing to find a solution, and that they care about their customers.

I’m giving 3 stars for my most recent experience. Besides this I would give 5 stars, but I would like to share my experience.

On Monday 12/19 I was getting low on important medications (antibiotics) for my Guinea Pig. I called that morning and placed a refill for 3 medications. I get a call back Thursday afternoon saying they hadn’t shipped any of the medications, because one of them had not yet been refilled by the vet. I immediately call the vet, and get the refill sent over. Due to it being close to the holidays, I pay $40 for overnight shipping to get it here ASAP. Unfortunately there was a storm that came in that closed the passes temporarily. So it didn’t arrive the 24th, which I can understand. However it’s now Tuesday the 27th and it still hasn’t arrived.

I called Kuslers and was very polite getting tracking info and figuring out what went wrong. The associate told me that the meds won’t arrive until tomorrow the 28th. I asked a few questions trying to figure out how I could prevent this from happening again, and the associate seemed to have a slight attitude, and did not seem to offer any sort of sympathy that my pet will miss several days of his life saving medications.

I am not trying to blame Kuslers, and I understand that their were factors that affected this that were outside of their control. But it is frustrating to have ordered medication 12/19 and not receive it with overnight shipping until 12/28. I would provide these recommendations on their part that might prevent this situation, or at least make it less frustrating as the customer:

1) When I placed the order, Kuslers could have alerted me that one medication was out of refills, and they wouldn’t be shipping out the 3 meds until they received the 1 refill. If I would have been alerted to this, I would have immediately called the vet and gotten the refill in.

2) Kuslers could have possibly let me know sooner than 3 days later that the meds have still not shipped. If this is their normal time frame I understand, but in that case when I placed my order, letting me know I should call them in the next 1-2 days to confirm shipment, I would have found out there was an issue and had been able to resolve it earlier.

3) Even though there were factors at play outside of Kuslers control, I would have appreciated some care/sympathy when I called, considering I’ve been a long time customer, and this delay in receiving medications could result in increased suffering for my pet.

These are just my thoughts I wanted to share. I will continue to use Kuslers as overall they have been outstanding, but I felt I needed to voice my feelings about this recent experience.

Super helpful with my cats' medications. When one of them didn't like the liquid versions, they were able to create cat-sized capsules with the medicine in powdered form. I credit them with keeping my cats healthy longer, by providing life-saving medication in a palatable format. Thank you!

I ordered medication on the phone on Thursday and got it the very next day on Friday. I was worried about it's arrival because it was a new medication for my pet and I was going on a work trip a few days later. I didn't ask for faster shipping, that's just how they ship!

Super quick service, granted I do live within 60 miles, but this was perfect to fill meds for my (now dearly departed) pet.

We have been customers of Kusler's Compounding Pharmacy for years. They always fill our prescription in a timely manner, and it's always correct. In all our years with them, there has never been anything wrong with our orders. They have wonderful customer service! They are also extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Amazing customer service! And these days that is rare. They really saved the day when my kitten needed his prescriptions. I can't say enough about how grateful I am and what a great place this is. Highly recommend!!

I would give 10 stars if I could! I used their services for 10 months as I tapered down on a medication I was taking from one standard dose to the next. It made what would normally be a psychological nightmare a walk in the park! Their staff was always helpful and friendly and the pricing was surprisingly affordable! Kusler's is amazing! Everyone is incredibly competent, knowledgeable, and friendly. I shopped around for an expensive med for my dog and their price was the lowest. On top of that, they ship pet meds for free!

Super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. I get my pet’s medicine compounded into a transdermal gel for easier dosing. They fill the meds and ship quickly, plus the prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommend.
