Small towns can have cliques, Rainier definitely falling into that category. I only lived there a short while, but I very very very much appreciate Rainier Market & their employees for being so friendly & welcoming to everyone who walked through their doors. I also want to express my gratitude for the employee who let me charge my phone there until closing time after I got into a "situation" & had to be dropped off there last year. You guys are awesome. Thank you!!

It's nice we have a fried chicken place so close to home. Takes pretty good honestly. Better than KFC honestly. Prices are similar though you will need to purchase a drink separately, but because it's a gas station, you have a multitude of options. Owner was super nice, gave me a free drink to try them out. They even have raw honey as a free condiment at their tables in the back. This was neat. Gas station food can be iffy, but both in town are decent, and this is the best fried chicken in town I'll be back. Thanks a bunch.

This store has, in the past, been owned by some not so great people. It had earned its poor reputation. It changed owners many times.
Thankfully, the new owners have worked really hard on making it a place you'd want to shop at.
Its clean and inviting, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The deli food and fried chicken are great.
The manager is an older gentlemen, is incredibly nice and really cares about the store and the people that shop in it.

If you are looking for a gas station then they have that covered. If you are looking for a marketplace the place is lacking in the market area. Very few products.

Mask wearing wasn't enforced and hasn't been enforced on any days I have been by. Employees seem to have moments where mask wearing is iffy, but it's not as bad as other places. On the bright side, the market is convenient and items are priced relatively well and the spacious inside allows for social distancing.

The owners of the rainier market purchase almost All of their products from the Yelm Walmart, re-selling everything at a higher price. They order hundreds of items at a time rather than going through a vendor like other convenience stores do. When they pick up their items they're rarely on time, but are consistently rude to the employees loading their items into their car, glaring at them the whole time. One would think they would be kind and courteous to the people who provide their products for them, but they are anything but. I will personally never be shopping with them ever again after seeing their behavior towards Walmart employees. Very disappointing on their part.

Beware of the cashier Amber Gilbreath as she is unproffesional, a liar, & a thief who is morally bankrupt, she's physically and verbally abusive even in the presence of children. Now when me or other renters go into the store we're bombarded with name calling and threats of the cops for absolutely no reason and mysteriously the card readers won't work all of a sudden, the pretending to be manager and cussing people out on the phone who ask to speak to the real manager.
