Playwicki Park

Great little park on the Neshaminy Creek. Love to come here with my dog and let him run a bit. Usually not too crowded. Ample parking.

***April 2023 UPDATE***
The park is looking good. Fishing is ramping up. No new updates from what I can see. Definitely the local place to walk dogs or get some fishing in or even escape the day by having a quick meal here.

***August 2022 UPDATE***
Fishing is still good. The baseball field did not get any work done to it despite the yellow caution tape from April. I still wish they put some money into this park but given it's tendency to flood bad every 5-10 years I understand why they don't.

***APRIL 2022 UPDATE***
The park has seen a few upgrades this year. There is a completely new playground for the kids. Complete with soft material on the ground. Looks like they repainted the older play equipment as well. Not sure what is happening at the old ball field but there is caution tape around the metal backstop which is squared off. See pictures.

I have been fishing at Playwicki Park for 25 years. I rented a gazebo for my 30th birthday. I really like this park from these two statements. I have seen some changes and investments in this park but I believe more money should be spent upgrading this park. The playground area is very underwhelming and older. Money should be spent to upgrade. I'm pretty sure they don't spend the money due to flooding concerns but this park could be better if money is spent here. The walking trails should also be upgraded and I wish they would bring back the baseball field. There is also some basket ball courts that could be upgraded but this park has a little bit of everything including fishing which is my favorite part. Playwicki has upgraded the bathrooms over the years for the better which is nice. If I can go to any park for an afternoon and bring my kids I choose Playwicki Park.

So so nice! I accidentally fell into this driving for work, and we came back. There’s places to walk down to the creek and just plop a chair and read, or just take a great beautiful hike! Definitely recommend! We’ll be back with portable chairs to sit on the creek.

Haven't been here in a really long time. It is absolutely beautiful driving in under the old train tracks, had the sunroof open to see all the beautiful brick and stone. I brought my son and dog and we all loved it. They have a pavilion and a few picnic benches throughout the area, not many though. They were all taken but I think you can also grill here, as I saw someone with a bag of charcoal, but I'm only guessing. There is a small basketball court, playground, and bathrooms (not sure if they are open as we didn't try). We didn't explore the whole park, but we went down a little rocky steep path to the neshaminy creek and the dog absolutely loved playing in the water. We also saw some people fishing but not sure how deep the water was as it didn't seem too deep from where we were. There's also a very steep and rocky hill up to the train tracks to walk them but we had flip flops on so couldn't make it to the top. There seemed to be a couple other trails to walk but we didn't check them out since it was getting late and we were hungry. Definitely going back again though, maybe pack a picnic and wear better shoes next time lol

It's a clean peaceful park with plenty of trails, Neshaminy Creek, swingset's, slide, basketball court, & a lot of picnic tables with grills! *Photos were taken seated in a pavilion; Google map it to see how big it is!

I love visiting Playwicki Park with our two doggos to let them run off-leash through the hiking trails in the surrounding woods along the

I love this park and is old fashion sliding board... Have lots of great memories there with my mom and son..

The upgraded play equipment is really good and is appropriate for toddlers as well, especially with the soft fall underneath. Very pretty spot.

Nice park, super pretty and the nature there made me feel relaxed and calm. Would like to explore more.

Peaceful, serene, quite & clean and an adult my age can swing on the swings! I was in total bliss!

Great park, well maintained, much cleaner and more welcoming then other parks along this Same creek. Restrooms were good and stocked with dry TP. No graffiti that I seen except for a large tree in the middle of the trail that has carvings of peoples initials. Not that I condone defacing a lovely tree but ahh do you nobody is looking. For real though I’ll definitely be back. Ohh and if you see the water ice truck get the mango sorbet Good Gawd it’s delicious sorry I forgot dudes name but kudos my friend.

Been coming to the park for several years now with a fish group we reserved the spot for our picnic we grill there go down to the river check out all the different fish that live in the River great place for fun family kids clean bathrooms also some of us bring our dogs with us plenty of room

Great park for picnics with large groups. Some areas can use a bit more maintenance such as grass cutting and tree removal. Overall, this is a great park close to Northeast Philly.

Nice little park with some trails that are fairly easy to navigate. Offers a nice area to walk,play,cook and enjoy the peace

Nice park,great nature walk

A relative of mine told me about this place. We meet up and I must say, it is beautiful! I love nature and everything that comes with it. This park is well maintenance and everything in functional; from water fountains to bath stalls, to benches. It is a majestic experience, I would take my kids there any day. Great place from exploring the wildlife and picnics.

We went to a Birthday party and they rented a spot and it was very clean, bathrooms were clean. There is plenty of field space to do a soccer game or whiffle ball game. There is a basket ball court and playground. Bring BUG SPRAY!! We were at the Playwicki that runs along the creek not the other one across the way and up the street although that one is very nice as well. I enjoyed this located much more than many other parks for parties we have been too. We would definitely go back to this location for a party of our own.

Beautiful, clean, Serene. So very very different than my hangout days many moons ago. Nice pavilions nice playground Staples for the kids and clean bathrooms if not particularly well lit.
