Fitness 1440 North Coventry

I have lifted in the same building since 2008 when Rascals was the previous tenant and the quality of the equipment had declined. Fitness 1440 at North Coventry took over ownership and has improved the facility at a solid, steady pace. The damaged benches were replaced and new treadmills have been added to replace the old from Rascals. The owner and staff are responsive to member messages and the facility remains in great shape when staff is not on schedule thanks to a wonderful community of members that care enough to keep the facility clean until staff reports the next morning. Thanks to the commitment of the owner and supporting staff, the future is bright with each new member who joins our community.

This 24/7 Gym is well maintained and has all of the equipment I need for me to maintain my fitness and make incremental improvements.

They recently added a 2 person Sauna to the Men's & Women's locker rooms as an added perk.

The staff and other clients are super friendly.

Hands down the best gym in the area. As a power lifter, they have everything I need. Dumbbells go up to 100lbs, two squat racks, deadlift platform and several machines (free weight and pin). They even offer boxing classes with the personal trainer Corey.
The staff is incredibly friendly and the manager Kate ensures the gym is clean and stocked with supplies (wipes for equipment, toilet paper, paper towels, drinks, etc).

Pretty chill gym, it's really clean and the staff are very nice. There's a good variety of equipment and compared to many other gyms the equipment is well kept. The biggest perk is 24/7 access as a member, being able to go at irregular hours is really great.

Best fitness center in the area!! Been a part of this facility since 2006 when it was then known as Rascals. About 2020, Jim, the current owner brought out Rascals and renamed the gym 1440 (the number of minutes in a day) and transformed it into the best fitness center in the area. The facility is spacious and clean. There's ample equipment--weights, cardio, all-purpose rooms--all logically placed and spaced. The staff is out of sight, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The 24/7 access means the fitness center is available when you want it, no rushing to get your workout in. If you tried the rest, give 1440 a try, it's the best!

I joined Fitness 1440 back in November 2022 and there were some issues signing up with my Activ & Fit program but Kate the GM, resolved it so quickly and professionally! I LOVE that the gym is 24 hours as I tend to work out evening hours or just randomly when my schedule permits. I like that I don’t have to worry about if the gym is open, they always are! The most important aspect for me is if I feel comfortable at a gym. As a woman who’s always been overweight, I’ve felt negative vibes in other gyms and just so out of place, but Fitness 1440 has such a vast variety in the members who go there and I never once felt uncomfortable. Since joining, I’m down about 25 lbs and it’s mainly due to finding a gym that I feel comfortable going to and don’t dread as consistency is the key folks! It’s always a clean environment and not overly crowded either. Recently they got new treadmills too. Kate takes pride in running a great gym and it shows.

They have everything I need to complete my workouts while being able to mix up various exercises for all muscle groups. The gym is clean, manager always friendly and the added bonus of a separate workout room for more privacy when wanted is key! 24 hour access is great for us early birds. Much better than rascals!

Just joined last week, I used to be a member at a gym in KOP, but 1440 is much closer to where I live and is 24/7 thankfully - as a new father it became increasingly more difficult throughout the last year to find the motivation to drive 30 minutes to the gym after my kid wife went to bed, so I finally made the switch. The price point is very reasonable at 29.99/month. Nestled between Planet fitness (around $10-$20 /month) and Anytime fitness(around $45/month). The amount of equipment is actually really impressive, and the sauna in the locker room is something I really wasn’t expecting but have been really enjoying. The only reason I was hesitant to give a 5 star review is that I’m a picky A-hole who enjoys the flexibility of having dumbbells above 100lbs and doesn’t prefer the HOIST brand of machines. Overall I really am enjoying my time at this gym and have been having great workouts for the first time in a long time.

The old club “Rascals” was closest to my house but that was about it. Things were always broke, it was always dirty and the owner was never here and didn’t care about the club or it’s members. Since being taken over by Fitness 1440 it’s been wonderful. The new owner “Jim” has made many changes. Everything is clean and in working order. The staff is fantastic as well as the members. This is an awesome club and I highly recommend it.

The new owner Jim and General Manager Kate at Fitness 1440 North Coventry, located at the Suburbia Village Shopping Center, have worked tirelessly to create a clean, comfortable and friendly gym for members of all ages and fitness levels.

Rascals was a gym that was close for me but didn't like to go because things were broke and not repaired. Have not yet been since new owners but going to start back on Sept. 1. I understand many precautions have been taken and place does look to be cleaner and socially distant.

Absolutely spotless since new ownership! Equipment is spaced apart where they can- and plenty of wipes and hand sanitizers. And, great staff! Highly recommend! SO glad new owners came in!👍🏼
