The atmosphere is nice but not extraordinary as it is often described. They serve unique Benedicts for brunch and a wide variety of drinks. I found their burgers to be good but not great. Service was very good and reliable, but to be fair we opened the place on a Sunday morning.

This place was pretty good. Not the best burger ever, however, all the other stuff was great. Clean fast and good service. I would come back to try other menu items

This was my first time here and it was amazing 🤩. We made reservations and we was seated outside (75 Degrees) and it was great weather to sit outside. Food was amazing. It was 6 of us and food came out nice and hot and no mistakes. It was plated well and beautiful 😍 . There is seating inside and outside. There is enough parking 🅿 and curbside parking. Menu is really easy to understand and read. Women's bathroom is clean 🧼. Overall, Food was wonderful, staff and service was great. I highly recommend.

Terrific place for good comfort food. The loaded potato chips hit the spot! Burgers are fantastic - I highly recommend the American burger. Prices are very reasonable for the portions, service is always quick, and the ingredients fresh. The fries could use some extra flair, but are good nonetheless. I actually prefer the crinkle-cut sweet potato fries - great balance of salty and sweet.

Been here twice now and it’s been a great experience both times. We really dig the 1700’s historical prints and the old tyme nature of the building itself. Chicken pot pie is amazing. Love the brussel sprouts appetizer. Highly recommended

Great looking place. Staff was very friendly. The food tastes amazing and the portions are really good as well. We ordered loaded potato chips and southwest chicken burger and both tasted good. Atmosphere inside is very nice as well. Would definitely recommend!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I took my parents to dinner here a couple weeks ago to celebrate my mom's birthday. We've had Jenn as a server the past couple times we've eaten here and she always does an amazing job! She makes sure my meal is entirely gluten-free (allergy) and her friendly, warm demeanor makes us feel like family. When we think of Black Powder, we think of Jenn and how amazing the customer service is here. Also their black bean burger is the best veggie burger Ive ever had!!! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wife and I had a quick stop. We reserved a table on line. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Cajun Mac and cheese. The price is a bit high but it is definitely worth it. Great food and service. Also a neat place for history buffs.

I enjoyed the Black Powder Tavern. The food was excellent. Espresso Martini's my wife and I had were great. Definitely try the poutine or the tuna tartar, no matter what you try, you won't be disappointed!

I am very impressed with the place. After a short stay in NY and experiencing exceptionally poor waiter service, the meals and service were memorable. I felt special; appreciated and noticed. For me, one of the most interesting places, which I will definitely repeat during my next visit to Pennsylvania. Best regards to the entire crew! Artur from Poland!

We loved the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. They have an extensive selection of beer on tap, including one we love, but is not around our area a lot (Wicked Weed Pernicious Ale). We tried the beer baked pretzel sticks as an appetizer and a cream of mushroom soup...both were excellent. For dinner we had the NY Strip that rivalled most prime steakhouses we've been to. One of us enjoyed the Veggie Burger and it was also great! This was a pleasant surprise; we've passed it for years and have never stopped in until now....but we'll definitely be back soon!

Very nice restaurant near Valley Forge. I believe it was built around 1750 and has retained that charm. We had the fish tacos and their club sandwich. Both were very good. I also had their soup of the day, Cream of corn chowder which was excellent. Definitely worth trying.

Amazing food, good service. Music isn't too loud and it's very mellow. Very peaceful atmosphere even on a Saturday night. The sangria and poutine are fabulous!

We stopped for lunch when in the area. Very pleasant experience. Nice, warm atmosphere. Clean and friendly. Excellent draft beer selection and food quality. I had the brisket grilled cheese and my wife had honey mustard chicken sandwich. All excellent.

1st time here. The place is decorated very nice for the holidays. We came for lunch. I had the blacken fish Tacos which were salmon. I thought that was a nice twist. They are spicy. If you're not a fan of spice pick something else. My husband had the club sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. We finished with me having the apple crisp which was more apple thN crisp. My husband had the hot apple cider with captain Morgan. We are looking forward to coming back and try dinner.

Date night with my husband, first time visiting and the food, service and atmosphere was great! I had the schnitzel (best I've ever had, hands down) and my husband enjoyed the short ribs. Looking forward to going back again!

My wife and I made last-minute reservations to dine at Black Powder Tavern on New Year’s Eve, and we are so glad that we did. The food was great, our server, Sarah, was attentive and timely, and the atmosphere/history of the restaurant was cool. I also enjoyed the fact that, even though it was New Year’s Eve and every table was filled, it was never too loud inside. We are already excited for our next visit!
