Bresca had amazing food, excellent service and we had a wonderful experience throughout. As soon as we walked in, the hostesses were very friendly and sat us right away. The restaurant was very busy and we still got all our food dishes from the chef tasting menu in a timely fashion. Drinks took a bit longer, but they were exceptional. Our server was very attentive as well as the rest of the staff. We would love to come back!

My wife and I had the best dining experience of our life at this restaurant. Not only was the food incredibly delicious, but the service was exceptional. They even went the extra mile by surprising my dog with a little treat. A truly memorable and outstanding place!"

Everything was wonderful and memorable. The house made bacon on the bruschetta was the star of the show. The tiny portion was so tasty and portioned just right leaving you yearning for more. The service from the time you walked in until the moment you left was top notch, everything you would expect yet still very welcoming.

One of the top 5 meals i’ve ever had! Wonderful staff that had great suggestions and absolutely spectacular cocktail program! Well worth the price for a delightful experience. The Chef’s Tasting Menu is absolutely decadent in the best way. Perfectly cooked duck, and i can’t stop thinking about the demi glacé on the veal dish. Spectacular experience!

I can confidently say that bresca serves one of the best selection of courses among all 1 Michelin star ⭐ restaurants in DC . Apart from their dessert all the other dishes are marvelous and meticulously cooked.
We chose the full tasting menu. The starter; sword fish, Veal and duck were impressive.

The atmosphere and ambiance is at par with the standard and expectation you would have from the enterprise running both Jont and Bresca.

A team of professionals with a full command on their area. A great overall experience. Would have loved to have the desserts one level up though.

Highly recommended and would love to go there again.

You all are a PERFECT team. Watching you all function during the 10pm seating on new years eve was like watching a dance. I also appreciate the balance between being incredible hosts and being festive humans. Thanks soooooo much. The food was remarkably delicious and filling. The music was perfection. I appreciate the attention given to my allergies. The noise level—even with music playing—was great for someone who was looking for a fun night without too much noise. The restaurant including the bathroom was very clean and well regulated in terms of temperature. Including the 23% tip is initially “woah” but truly well worth the service. This was my second time at Bresca!

The service at bresca is really fantastic. They're very attentive without hovering over the table. It was busy and a little loud inside so the only issue is that I had some trouble hearing all of the descriptions of the food. The atmosphere is otherwise great inside, modern without being pretentious. The food was wonderful! We did the tasting menu and the Bluefin Tuna in particular was a favorite at our table, it absolutely melted in your mouth. Dessert was also excellent, we ordered both and preferred the Raspberry Semifredo, which had a really nice crunch to it.

Went with a group of friends and it was an incredible experience. The caviar swordfish, and duck courses were out of this world good. The service was also very on point. If you’re considering going, you definitely should.

Ordered the 4 course dining experience. We selected cocktails such as Bees Knees, which was served in a beautiful and unique bee-decorated cocktail glass. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Dishes were well explained but not overly so. Several servers were assigned to our table and were very attentive the entire evening. The flavors were rich, bread warm, and we decided the halibut was the best, but all dishes were lovely.

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. I’ve a had lot of delicious food… Bresca is another level. Each course was explained and well presented. The staff was awesome. Do not skip Champagne and caviar if you have the chance. We did the full tasting menu and one of us has a pescatarian modified menu.

The only way it could have been any better (because it was phenomenal) … was if there was a way to add some heat to the food. Hot peppers?

I went for summer restaurant week, and the menu was incredible. I typically try to go to a few spots each restaurant week and so far, this has been my favorite experience. Each plate was incredible and surprising, the cocktails were good, and it was well presented. Service was great, and I want to go back just for the cavatelli pasta dish alone, but add in the house made brioche loaf and the wagyu any day. My only slight ding is the dessert (a pistachio cake with blueberry and lemon mascarpone) was a *tiny* bit too sweet for my taste, but others might find it just fine. Truly LOVED Bresca and was a great solo pre birthday dinner treat to myself.

Bresca delivered in every way across our experience, in ways that other restaurants in DC truly struggle. We were admittedly nervous to dine in after being sorely disappointed by other highly regarded restaurants around town, so we started by visiting for Sara's cocktail tasting experience. We took the time to check out the space and service and were pleasantly surprised that the same level of attention we were seeing on the floor was being paid to guests of the cocktail tasting. I don't want to spoil that too much, but if you enjoy a well-made cocktail, Ethos is certainly worth paying a visit for.
On to the meal itself, we brought a friend to celebrate her birthday while she was in town. I worked with Nitiya in advance to provide her with some insight about our friend in order to personalize the experience. It was really fun to see the little ways they incorporated all of the information in mini celebrations across the visit. I highly recommend Bresca as a fantastic place to celebrate any special occasion. We were so impressed by our experience that we decided to change an upcoming celebration at another restaurant in town to Jont.
Service throughout the meal was amazing. Servers were observant without hovering - within about 30 seconds of everyone at the table finishing a course, our table was being cleared and prepped for the next course. The staff was incredibly friendly, sharing information about each dish that was delivered as well as being open to a bit of chat back and forth. Other restaurants in the greater DC area seemingly instruct servers to be invisible and not engage. Meanwhile, Bresca takes the opposite approach and goes that extra step of welcoming you back if you have visited before (they take good notes).
The food itself was also excellent! Each component of the dishes was flavorful on its own, and the dishes were cohesive in the sense that the flavors intentionally worked together. Dish presentation was on point, and the provided utensils for each course made sense with both the food and the dish in which it was served.
Aside from all of this, I do really appreciate the steps they take to try to make dining here more accessible. On certain days of the week, there are prix fixe menu options, an early bird special, and they are participating in Restaurant Week. If you've never been, Restaurant Week looks like an amazing opportunity to try several of the dishes from the tasting menu.
We will definitely be back, and we are already singing the praises of Bresca to everyone we know.

This place is great! The food was delicious, the atmosphere is casual and accessible but still quite nice, and the service was top notch. We got the chef’s tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed each course. The dessert was perhaps the least interesting of the night, but it was still quite tasty. Would recommend this for a nice date night or other celebration where you’re looking to impress.

The owner, Chef Ryan, is a legend. The second floor is two Michelin-starred Jont. Bresca is much more affordable than Jont, but still, food is gorgeous. Duck is the second to none.

A must visit in DC, one of the few Michelin star restaurants in the District. You can opt in for a tasting menu, or order a la carte, which we did. The service was impeccable, the bartender was on point with her take on your favorite spirits (I really enjoyed the presentation and the dishes, too). The scallop appetizer was probably my favorite, and the wagyu beef a close second. You defend reservations. There are also outside enclosed yurts but they are right on the busy street sidewalk so didn’t look too appealing for me.

This place was perfection! My husband and I went on Valentine's Day and had their Vday tasting menu. We were also celebrating my husband's birthday. They wrote him a personalized card and had it waiting on the table to welcome us. Everything tasted heavenly and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and the best. I would recommend making a reservation for one of the outdoor lodges. It's perfect for a romantic dinner for two. Inside the lodge they include a heater, blankets, and a bluetooth speaker so that you can play music from your phone while you eat. The presentation of all the food was simply beautiful. When they bring out each dish, the waiter describes what you are about to eat and if there are any special directions for how to eat and enjoy the dish best. The food, service, and ambiance were perfect. This place is worth the money and I see why they are a Michelin star restaurant.

BRESCA is the best place to enjoy duck in DC. The centerpiece of our meal, the duck à la presse, achieves perfection in both temperature and flavor. The duck’s crispy skin, adorned with intensive spices, delivers a symphony of tastes that captivates the palate.

A masterful surprise is in the small bits featuring the grilled tender duck heart with chimichurri sauce and duck liver tart with grilled apple and hazelnut. Even if you are not a fan of organs, I highly recommend to give them a try. The Agnolotti, generously filled with foie and cheese, showcases expert craftsmanship in every bite.

We celebrated my husband's 30th birthday at Bresca and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant had cleverly designed spaces that created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The attentive service made us feel truly special throughout the evening.

As a vegetarian, I opted for the vegetarian menu option, and I must say it was delightful. While one course was slightly underwhelming (can't remember the name because I was not given a printed version of the alterations to the non-vegetarian menu), it did not diminish the overall marvelous experience.

This birthday dinner was a testament to the exceptional quality and dedication to culinary excellence that the restaurant embodies. Highly recommended for a special evening in DC.

Great experience. The team takes you through a meal experience. They are very clear in explaining the food being placed in front of all diners at once. If you want exceptional food and service (with a fun and interesting wine experience - thank you Alex) definitely go to Bresca. We are regulars for a reason. Our last group included a vegetarian and he raved about the quality of his food.

This place is everything you look for in an authentic, fancy, and delicious food spot. We were here for restaurant week and everything we had was burst of delightful flavors. The tasting menu really did not have anything we didn't like. The servers were really thoughtful and intelligent about the food we are consuming. The presentation is also quite beautiful.

We have been to a lot of fancy restaurants but this one is the only one that has great taste, wonderful atmosphere, and not a single dish was out of place. Highly recommend it for the price if you want a great experience and not be left feeling like they just ripped you off.
