Mountain Creek Camp Ground

No rooms needed. Have been booking here for 4 years now. We love playing in the creek. It's lots of fun!!

I go to this campground a few years now and it is my favorite, kid and pet friendly with nice activities

This campground is almost a resort! Very large campground, with lots of activities for adults and children and even the dogs! Michaux State Forest and the Appalachian Trail are minutes away too!

We love coming here!!!!! We have been coming here 4 years now! As kids get older and can be less stressed as their safety! Great staff.... I definitely miss BOB! They have great weekend winery events and kids shirts and duck race. Thank you for everything you guys do!

First time at Mountain Creek Campground and we had a great time! The amenities are nice. I can't say enough positive things about the staff! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. There is a very welcoming vibe. A fun, family campground. Perfect for us! We loved it so much, we signed up on the waiting list for a permanent site.

Spent a long weekend here at the beginning of August. Great Campground! Lots to do for the whole family. Staff is extremely helpful! Creek is very fun for the kids, pool is clean, site was spacious and a great location. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back!

Loved it. As did my 1 1/2 year old son. He danced to the music, we played mini golf and had loads of fun. The atmosphere was excellent. I've been to other Campgrounds in the area (Even one on the same road) and it's no comparison. This was the best.

I've been coming to this campground since I was a little girl,now my kids come here and we all love it. The staff is very family oriented, very down to earth and even financially easy on the pockets. Your children will have fun and so will you. They have many different functions and ladies,even wine tasting. Its an all around good vacation or just a weekend camping trip. Everyone will have fun here. Camper 565 here!

Well done Mtn Creek! Another memory making Memorial Day weekend. We see the improvements and efforts into making this a awesome campground. 20+ years coming and will continue.

Though they were technically closed for the season, they were still willing to accommodate us over the Thanksgiving holiday. The grounds are maintained and facilities clean. Beautiful creeks to sit by or wade in. Hoping to stay here in the summer for a few days

We love it here! Alive with activity Friday through Saturday and a peaceful respite at the foot of the Appalachians during the week.

So last weekend was our 2nd stay and we will be back again. Sites are nice, lots of activities and a great vibe at this campground. I met Dan who is one of the staff that takes care of the pool. I used to take care of pools this size and I can say that Dan does an awesome job. The water is perfect and clean. There’s no chlorine smell and no burning eyes. We were at the pool for 8 hours Saturday.

Mountain Creek (hence the name) runs through the campground and is a great way to cool off if the pool isn’t your thing. We’ve spent time in both. It’s shallow, but deep enough for kids to tube. You can buy tubes right at the store if you forget yours or don’t have any. They’re reasonably priced. They even have a place you can inflate tubes for free.

The wine from Castlerigg Winery is a nice touch but you didn’t see people getting blitzed out of their minds. We felt at ease and safe both times at Mountain Creek. The seasonal campers and staff are nice which isn’t the case many places. Food from the snack shack was good and not overpriced and they have one of the best camp stores I’ve ever seen with hand dipped Hershey’s ice cream and VERY reasonably priced.

Live entertainment on the deck is great and so is family movie night at the activity pavilion. Later check out times on SUNDAYS meant we didn’t feel rushed packing up with our granddaughter in tow. Multiple dump stations are available on the way out which means no loooong waiting times.

All in all I just can’t say enough good things about this place. You’re missing out if you don’t book here.

2nd year camping here, both years have been a blast. Always fun activities for everyone. Normally have multiple planned activities(4 or more) for Saturday. And tons of other things to do. Corn hole boards, horseshoes, mini golf, tubing, volley ball court, nice arcade, playground, basket ball, big pool, and nature trail. Only downside for me is they don't allow gas golfcarts only electric. So I can't bring my own. But it's not a big deal. Sites are nice and level. Bathrooms are very clean.

I arrived after hours for my reservation, and am pretty new to camping in a travel trailer. I came in, found my site and started parking, but was a little confused with the layout of my site/ how to park within regulations (wonky layout with a tree). Marlene stopped by during her rounds, shared helpful information, and some encouraging words. She was so kind and helpful, I felt welcome immediately. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you Marlene!!!

Out first time at Mountain Creek Campground and it was very pleasant. Plenty of activities for the children and a very clean pool. Bathrooms well amazingly clean. The staff was very nice and helpful specially when it came down to changing our campsite. The security guard BOB was very nice. He does his job making sure everyone is safe and are having a great time. Looking forward to making more memories there.

Gorgeous park, amazing people and an excellent amount of activities make this campground one of new favorites. Don't be discouraged if you can't get a 3 point they have a great honey pot service. The area this camp is in is amazing if you are an outdoors person there are tons of state hiking areas and great history. I'll be back here as soon as I have sometime off.

So relaxing and peaceful. It is among my top three that I have stayed in so far. The only downside is that if you're near the creek you are not allowed to have sewer hookup. All the amenities are very nice and the staff there are super friendly. All the facilities are nice since everyone is pretty much almost forced to use the showers. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!

We just got back from our second year here and plan on making it an annual stop. There’s so much to do and most of the sites are shady and a decent size. We always choose a site by the creek and although they don’t offer sewer hookup,it’s our favorite! I’d recommend this campground to anyone with kids!
