The Nickle Plate Bar & Grill

First time at the Nickle Plate. Went there after Joy to the Grove. It was crowded and we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Our server was fantastic! Despite being very busy she was very friendly and made some recommendations for us. Started with pretzel rails and they were great with the beer cheese dip served on the side. For the main event I went with the PB&J burger. AMAZING! It was a "real" burger, not frozen that had crunchy peanut butter and a spicy jelly on it along with some great seasoned bacon on a great roll. Came with pickles and chips or fries. Needless to say I mopped it up. Others had the tenderloin sandwiches which were also fantastic. The outside had a Christmas venue outside with a fire and small food items. Just a great place.

My daughter and I went here for dinner tonight. I don’t recall the man’s name that serviced but he was so pleasant and so kind to my daughter. He talked to her like a normal person and even gave her a chocolate bar. The food was also amazing and their fall drinks delicious.

Yum! Good food and comfy diner feel. My salmon was well prepared and a large portion for the price.

Great food and drink specials! Advise making reservations because it gets busy. Staff are friendly and provide good service.

Beef tacos, burger, brisket sandwich all awesome. We greatly enjoyed all the food and drinks. Matson, our bartender, was friendly, hospitable, and provided outstanding service. Thank-you for a wonderful experience for my family! A+

We have gone here for lunch twice now. Ate outside the first time and inside the second time. Wait staff are friendly, environment is clean. It was a bit loud when we ate inside. You can sit at a booth, a table, the bar, or outside to eat. Portions are generous without breaking the bank.

Really wanted a beer after visiting Knoebels amusement park and this was right up the road at the golf club (all also owned by Knoebels).
We sat at the bar and the bar tender was super nice and friendly. She did a fantastic job of taking care of everyone even when it started to get really busy.
Decided to stay for a bite to eat and got the frickles (fried pickles) and knotty crabs (garlic knots with crab sauce). We were SO impressed by the knotty crabs. They were absolutely delicious and worth coming back for. My boyfriend got the reuben and was raving about how delicious it was.
We will definitely be back sometime and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area to check it out because the food was fantastic. Loved it.

Our server Emma was fantastic. We are Mainers and the seafood dish was delicious, and priced excellent. Will definitely me a new go to when we are visiting PA.

Very good food and very friendly servers !
Only downside is that it's not a very big place just to do a walk in and eat so , my advice is to make reservations.

Great meal, PB&J burger had my interest and it was delicious. Not a gimmick, just an interesting and delicious combination. My wife has the Santa Fe Salad and it was gigantic. The service was amazing, literally might have been the best, most attentive and interested wait-staff and management I've ever seen. I was so pleased.

This was our first time there but definitely not the last. The food was very good & I really enjoyed my hot toddy, considering how cold it was out. We found it by visiting the Christmas Village after Knoebels drive-thru.

Great food and service. The Shrimp Po'Boy sandwich had so much shrimp that I had to eat half of it with a fork before I could close the sandwich to eat the rest.

It was my first time coming here and I will be back! I can't tell you how many times I've driven by this little gem either! Their cocktails and special drinks were DELICIOUS. I got the watermelon long island (the perfect summer drink). The food was amazing, and so was the service. With it being right along the golf course, it also had nice views from where I sat. The PBnJ burger has spicy jelly with crunchy PB, which was one perfect mixture. Till we meet again!

Beautiful place with excellent food. The best thing about our visit was our server though! We had 10 people in our group, including 3 children under 3 years old. He didn't mess up anything, was extremely pleasant, and he even brought out little bowls of applesauce for the littles! We will def be visiting each and every time we come up this way for Knoebels!

Excellent food, the service was great, and prices were very reasonable!

Just got introduced to this restaurant by my fiance'. We started out with Pretzel Bread Logs with a Yeungling Beer Cheese dipping sauce. Delicious. Warm, buttery & soft. We both opted for the Tomato Bisque soup that we ended up dipping our cheese covered pretzel logs in to. The Bisque was awesome. Finally our entree's arrived. My fiance' had the Crab Cakes & Cole slaw. She loved that they don't stretch the crab cakes with lots of breading like some places do, in fact, she doesn't even know if they used ANY. It was such a clean tasting crab cake. I opted for the Flat Iron steak & Mac and Cheese. Both were very good. The steak was Med-Rare like I had asked for. It was so soft to chew and the flavors were great. The Mac & Cheese was nicely done too. I'm looking forward to doing lunch there. What a great 1st experience for me.
