I had a swap; drop off and pick up. Chris, Mike, and Hayford were the personnel there. They were marvelous. Professional, easy going, pleasant souls. I wish all of my pick ups and deliveries were as the experience I encountered at National Business. They understood the problem, rectified it, and made the transition easy. WONDERFUL JOB GENTLEMEN.

Doesn’t deserve a single star. Ordered two 12’ conf tables. Neither one arrived with the proper parts. They were missing LEGS of all things. We needed another table and ordered a 20’ table hoping to scavenge parts. Well, without any notice from the company, they sent a partial shipment, still waiting for the rest of the shipment over a week later. Pitiful service. They’re GSA which explains a lot. Asked for a refund of one smaller table and denied. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!! You buy online you’re screwed.

I worked for National Business Furniture from Late February - Early November as a temp-hire employee. The atmosphere is fun and a real let loose environment. (Ex. No annoying reflective vests, no safety shoes, no proper safety training (unless you got hired on), and on top of that a manager who is constantly making references/jokes that have zero relevance to the situation at hand. This is all alarming considering this is a warehouse where we move literal TONS of weighted product on a daily basis.

The manager at National Furniture Business (Carlisle location) is extremely difficult to work with. When a safety issue / stage of the process is addressed as unsafe, we are told to not make a big deal as it would result in other restrictions. (Ex. An employee was in a trailer unloading product the music was extremely loud, and unsafe to hear for things like communication, and heavy machinery. When they could not hear the forklift coming in the trailer there was contact with him and the 3,000lb machine.) THANKFULLY the employee walked out mostly okay. HOWEVER when it came time to address the situation it was made clear to him, that HE was the one in fault. The blame was being shifted in the wrong place to protect the (unsafe) process the do on a daily basis. The general manager is wildly controlling and more than okay with what happens on a daily at NBF.

After my 9 months working there as a temp promised a career. I realized that these promises were extremely hallow and had no truth behind it. I was only there for the paychecks not a career. VERY limited space to move up + this company hires from outside, NOT looking to promote from within.

Overall experience was definitely the most interesting warehouse I have ever worked in. If you are just looking for short temporary work, its a nice place to get a good daily workout in. If you are looking for long term I would NOT recommend NBF.
