Good honest repair shop and state inspection station. Great communication by text messaging that includes pictures and report for work that needs to be done. Jon and his staff have always been easy to work with. Clear cut pricing so you know what the cost will be when the job is completed. Never any additional costs or any types of surprises when you pick up your vehicle.

Had a mower tire that needed repaired. No garage in Dillsburg said they could change it. I stopped in at HC & the mechanic said it probably wouldn’t fit his equipment. It didn’t, but I watched him figure it out, fight it, make adjustments and got it done.

Great service and quickly figured out the issue with my car after another mechanic found “nothing wrong”. Very nice staff. they also gave me a loaner car while my car was there, which was great and most shops don’t do that.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from Jon and his staff at HC Automotive. They did extensive maintenance and repair to a well used 2012 Honda Odyssey. They were very capable and thorough with the repairs. They were also very diligent about keeping me informed about the progress of the repair. I highly recommend.

HC Automotive is by far the best and honest company i have ever been too. They gave me out the door prices without all the hidden expenses. I will forever give HC Automotive my business. The people are very nice and sweet. Took my car in for inspection last week. Needed 2 new tires but they couldnt get the parts because of a holiday they gave me a loaner to use. I needed a tire fixed in a pinch and the guys at HC Automotive were on it right away. The technician was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. He took the time to explain all the work he did. When I told him that we were leaving for vacation, he even checked the oil and topped that off. Great customer service, honest prices, and skilled workers....look no further than HC Automotive.

First time taking my car to HC and I will definitely be back. Great communication and really like the text message that showed the results of the inspection with pictures. Also liked how pricing was transparent and broken down by task and material rather than just a lump sum at the end of the bill. Staff was very friendly.

HC Automotive offers exceptional service at a fair price. They are really good at letting you know what is wrong with your car as well as what could be done in the near future. They also have really fast service, unlike other car shops that take your car and just let it sit there for a week and then finally work on it (absolutely ridiculous). Not at HC Automotive though, they have your car in and out as quick as they can. The overall atmosphere and experience at HC Automotive is fantastic, I would highly recommend experiencing the quality, integrity, and care for yourself!

I just had my car in for inspection again and the service is amazing! I've been taking my vehicles to John for years and its always that way. I really liked the more recent technology upgrades that allow them to send you a text message with a link to a full diagnostic report of your vehicle. They even take pictures so you can see what is wrong! Nobody else even comes close to doing that kind of thing. Thanks John!

I brought my wife's car in to Jon last week, to investigate an issue that's been going on. We spoke on the phone briefly before I brought it by, and I left the car for the day. When I went to pick it up, he was completely honest with his findings and charged me MUCH less for his diagnostics than I was expecting. Yet he did a very thorough job with the car. This is a real mechanic, and I am extremely happy that he's so close to where I live!

He also does motorcycle inspections, which is an added bonus for riders who need a place for yearly stickers!

I have no idea how I never knew this place existed - but I'm glad I found it and will be going back, for sure.

I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Recently had to get towed from pretty far away. Someone asked if it wouldn't be cheaper to get towed to a nearby shop. I said "Sure it would. But if Jon tells me the transmission is blown, I know it is. If 'some guy' tells me the same thing, I'll have to tow it again for a second opinion anyway."

You can't overstate the value of having a mechanic you can trust.

Life is busy -- I don't want to have to deal with more unexpected breakdowns and issues that take me away from my day than I have to. HC Automotive takes a ton of care with each client that comes in and approaches business the right way. I don't want the cheapest... I want the best value -- and I put a lot of value in HC Automotive's extra effort in thoroughly checking our vehicles over and telling me what issues exist today and what issues are on the horizon. They aren't pushy or sales-y, but they do a good job educating me on what is important or what can wait. Huge value on that to me and I appreciate that they aren't condescending and they don't look to take advantage of someone who doesn't know.

This industry tends to be shady, and you always want to challenge your mechanic and what actually needs fixed. Jon doesn't mess around. He fixes what's broken, and let's you know what could be in the future, belts, exhaust, brakes, tires, he not only helps you in a pinch, but he gives you a heads up before you are stranded by the side of the road. These guys know their stuff. I switched to HC Automotive, no regrets here.
