Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy

I would recommend OSPT to anyone who needs physical therapy. The staff were always on time, professional and extremely helpful. Courtney & Andrea listened to my needs and encouraged me every step throughout my therapy. Anita was always pleasant and accommodating with any appointment changes I had to make. I didn't work directly with Hersh, but his interactions with his clients were just as positive. If I need a physical therapy facility again, I would definitely use OSPT again.

Absolutely amazing experience!! Hersh treated me for my vertigo and it was better in just a few visits!! It was so nice to have a small private practice experience versus the PT mills I have been to in the past. I will be going back for ALL my family PT needs!

Injury Date: 9/23/21
Injury: Ruptured S1/L5, Herniated L4/L5, Arthritis and bone abnormalities in the spine. Severe sciatic pain and instability in left leg and foot from compressed nerve root.
Previous treatment: Acupuncture, PT x2, Epidural injections, Chiropractic care x3, massage and I visited 3 surgeons and 4 specialists.
After over 2 years and many treatments, I was referred to Orthopedic and Spine Physical Therapy, as a requirement of an impending microdiscectomy surgery. I was assigned Courtney and we went to work. She started out very gently and I was very appreciative. She is a very good listener, and I noticed less pain almost immediately when I followed her instructions. I also researched the laser that is offered in the office and found that it was very good and evidence-based outcomes at 18 visits. I have completed 19 laser sessions and it's very effective for pain management.
I am happy to report that I my pain has decreased and is manageable after 22 visits and my mobility has improved significantly. I am no longer awaiting surgery but working on improving stability and re-building core strength. I really appreciate the staff, especially Courtney, at OSPT and look forward to the visits.

I herniated disc in my lower back L4, L5, and had pain in my right leg that went down to my knee. Difficult walking. My neurosurgeon recommended physical therapy and my wife recommended OSPT. She had been there before for lower back injury and told me how wonderful the staff was. She was right. Hersh was my primary physical therapist. Andrea was the secondary and on some days the primary. They developed a PT plan that had the exact exercises I needed to do in order to bring my back around. I have completely recovered thanks to their care and expertise. Everyone at the practice is professional and caring. I highly recommend OSPT for anyone who requires physical therapy.

This is a wonderful, comfortable facility for PT! The therapists are kind and attentive, and there were usually no more than 1 or 2 other patients in the office during my sessions. Courtney knew just how much to push me to get my back feeling better. I would definitely recommend the services here and would return if future PT is necessary.

Amazing experience. Hersh is one of the best Physical Therapists I have ever met . He was very quick with diagnosing my issue and I had improvement in symptoms with few weeks of therapy . Very friendly staff! Great place for all your PT needs!

Excellent care and support. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Therapists listen to expressed concerns and address your questions. The support I received after 2 seperate injuries helped me heal and regain my skills. I will absolutely use their services again should I need them.

Hersh, Andrea and their team did an amazing job diagnosing and treating my lower back pain. Within a matter of weeks I went from having daily pain that nearly prevented me from putting my socks on to being able to run again for the first time in months. Thank you OSPT!

This is by far the best Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy business in the area. I have seen Hersh two separate times for two different issues. Both issues were fixed and when I continue to do my exercises I have no issues. It has been almost two years now that I last saw Hersh and it has been almost two years now that I have had to seek chiropractic care! The whole practice is amazing. Everyone is friendly, kind, caring, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to go in for my scheduled appointments. Even though I no longer live in PA I still talk about what a great experience I had at Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy and how much they helped me with my back and neck issues.

Came for help with shoulder mobility and strengthening. The therapists here really listened to my needs, and got me back to my normal routine :)

Hersh, Andrea and the rest of the staff are amazing! They try to be very accommodating with appointments. Once we started my treatment plan, Hersh suspected my elbow and shoulder pain was coming from my upper back. He was so right! After my neck and upper back took sustained trauma from several car accidents and falls for 40 years, I wasn’t surprised. After working with him for many months (I had a number of setbacks; none caused by them), he had my neck moving more than it has since I was 17. I’ve learned so much and feel so much better. I highly recommend!

I had been experiencing back pain for months before I finally decided to do something about it. I went and saw Hersh and immediately felt a sense of relief because after chatting with him and his physical assessment, we had a PLAN. Between the PT visits and the exercises he gave me to do at home, my pain slowly began improving, and now I am pain free! When I am feeling a flare up coming on I now know to be proactive and do the exercises that are helpful and go in to be seen for more therapy if needed. Anyone with severe back pain knows it’s debilitating, so I am so grateful for all that he and Andrea have done to help me!

Courtney had me repeat exercises that profoundly helped strengthen my legs, back, & made my morning exercises easier to perform.

I went to Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy (OSPT) last summer as my left knee was very swollen and both of my knees were in great pain. Hersh evaluated my situation and he and his team worked with me and guided me through very effective physical therapy that greatly improved the health of both knees. Hersh gave me great exercises and knee stretching exercises that reduced my pain and led to great improvement. I continue to exercise as prescribed by Hersh and this has helped to greatly protect and improve my knees so that I can continue to enjoy sports and life in general. The OSPT team is great. I have recommended them to several of my friends and will continue to do so.

The Therapists at OSPT are genuinely interested in helping you feel better by creating a program to address your challenge. They are kind hearted, talented professionals and I would highly recommend Hersh and his team all day long!! Angie is awesome too and was very willing to work with me to set up my schedule. They have the best attitudes and are always pleasant and smiling 😀

I highly recommend OSPT. Hersch and the team there provide the most caring and effective PT I have experienced. They went above and beyond to find the best exercises and treatment for my pain. I am feeling so much better and can continue the exercises and guidance they provided at home using their app to continue to heal.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

OSPT in Carlisle provided me excellent physical therapy. First they did an intense evaluation and explained what they can do for me. After receiving the treatments, I no longer experienced the pain in my neck and back. The staff was professional and friendly and always answered any concerns I had about any therapy treatments.

I had serious left ankle surgery 12/28/2021. Following recovery, I had physical therapy to strengthen and improve function. I had excellent results from the care I received at OSPT. The entire staff was professional, caring and friendly. I knew it would require time and effort to get back to my pre-injury state, as my surgeon indicated it may take 12-18 months. I am pleased to report within 6 months I felt like my old self, and now at the 1 year mark I am 100 % back to all my activities. I ski, bike, and also run daily on the treadmill. Hersh and Andrea are exceptional! Their caring yet persistent demeanor kept me on task and encouraged my progress. I cannot thank them enough, and highly recommend OSPT for your physical therapy needs.
