If you want good quality tailored suits, then I recommend this place out of all the other shops in Yakima. Now these suits aren't cheap, but the quality matches the price. Steve is a very friendly and knows his stuff. He also compensates for his customers if they are not 100% satisfied. Thank you so much Steve for your business. My family and I were very pleased with the results.

I went to Steve to rent or possibly purchase a suit. After talking with him for just a short time I decided to purchase rather than rent. He was very good at explaining the different fits and materials. His customer service was excellent and he had my garments custom tailored to fit me. I've been to Steve's for a suit, some shirts and odd items of clothing. He is amazingly personable, knows his stuff about dressing up.
He sells only top quality, and it ain't cheap, however, along with the clothes and really accurate advice for what goes well together, you get free alterations. Your okay fitting shirt will be made to fit perfectly. I've been losing weight and been getting my suit retailored as I shrink. I do recommend this business if you want lifetime, quality clothes, pleasantly acquired.

I’ve known Steve Goodwin for 35+ years, from his days at Nordstrom to his own shop The Haberdasher. One of the many things I truly appreciate about Steve is his vast knowledge of clothes. Just yesterday I needed some new clothes for an event, and something as trivial as a dress shirt, he shares with me the story of the brand and the designer. Sure we all live increasingly in a world that challenges us all for time, but every time I leave his shop I feel like that may of been the best use of my time that day/week. Steve Goodwin and The Haberdasher is a remarkable jewel of our community!

Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft and a consummate salesman. It is the only shop in town I visit when I need business or dress attire. Steve can tailor a suit in the same day and he makes modifications as needed. I do pay a premium for his products and I am willing to do that for two reasons. One, the quality of his product is quite high and it lasts for a long time. Two, and this is the most important thing, he stands by his clothes. As an example, a local dry cleaner recently cleaned my suit and in doing so broke the two front buttons on my suit jacket. They didn’t tell me about it, instead I had to find out about it while wearing the jacket a few hours before a board meeting. It was a poor reflection on the dry cleaner, but there was nothing they could do in a couple of hours. So, I swung by Steve’s shop. Within a couple of minutes, the jacket was back with his tailor and within 15 minutes I walked out of the door with brand new buttons on my jacket… at no charge. That is the kind of service that makes a lasting impression.

My husband left his clothes in Seattle when we headed to Yakima for a wedding. Stopped here based on yelp reviews. We like small businesses. Steve was personable and we found an excellent shirt for the wedding ... and bought a wool vest, and 2 other shirts. Highly recommend.

Discovered the Haberdasher unfortunately right as I was about to move from town. I was only in the shop for a short time but had a good experience talking to Steve and one of his staff members. They were knowledgeable about their trade and helped me find something that worked for me, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly.

I went here for my prime suit and he was super friendly and helped me pick something that matched my girlfriend, he told me "but remember man, the best accessorie to a suit is your beautiful woman" and I think about it all the time when I look in her face, thank you steve for helping me look good for a special night, that was our first formal occasion together and we've been together since, I'll be coming back to Steve when I decide to marry her
