Fuji Mountain Japanese Restaurant

We had a lovely dinner here recently, as my husband was craving sushi for his birthday. The service was good and the sushi was top notch. We also ordered a bottle of sake and some beers to go with our meal. The place was pretty empty, so we had the upstairs basically entirely to ourselves. The quietness may have bothered some other folks, but we enjoyed the private dining experience. I would definitely come here again!

Ordered takeout and was really surprised at how good it was. My only complaint is that they served the rolls in the same container which was not safe for me as someone with a shellfish allergy. But would def recommend the unagi and inferno roll.

This place is the best. It’s never crowded and the food is always delicious. You get seated very quickly and the food comes out equally as fast. The servers are very nice and professional. I always come here for the Katsu chicken it’s probably the best friend chicken I’ve ever had. It comes out with two large cutlets cooked perfectly tender and crunchy. The menu also has a pretty good selection of items to choose from. I would highly recommend eating here.

The food here never disappoints. Always fresh and hot. We tried the crispy chicken and shrimp 🍤 this time around and it was really delicious 😋. Of you're in the area and are in the mood.for some tasty Japanese food, give them a try! P.s. the calamari is awesome 👌

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The sushi is delicious and very fresh. Great variety of specialty rolls. Also try the housemade Soju! 🍶

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Came here on a whim while visiting Philly. I highly recommend it when in the mood for Japanese food. All around great.

I had basically given up on finding good sushi in center city but gave one more spot a chance and luckily the rolls I ordered for take out at Fuji Mountain were good! I really liked how I could select avocado or cucumber for my spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls. Fresh and flavorful. I’ll order for pick up again for sure!

My wife and I ate here a while ago, and I had the best steak teriyaki I've ever eaten. The steak must have been sous vide and then seared because it was cooked to perfection. A+ meal.

Superb food, and Mona, our server, treated us as though we were in her home. Her hospitality was incomparable. What a doll!

We went here for our anniversary dinner. Everything was delicious. The food was fresh flavorful. We thought it was reasonably priced for the amount and quality of our dinner. We will return again to try more from the menu.

The food was great. I enjoyed every bite. But I found that prices are quite high (presumably due to the quality of the ingredients). There is a lot of space in the restaurant for both solo guests or groups. The service was decent. Nothing to be worried about if you want to come and eat here.

The sushi was magnificent here, we ate so many types of fish we hadn't tried before. Fresh and delicious and good pricing . Highly recommended

Ended up here by accident after spending hours in the Mutter museum on a rainy Saturday and it was so good. Lunch was a quiet time. Cozy booth with all kinds of dark wood paneling. We got a sashimi appetizer, a hurricane roll, and ex-girlfriend roll, and the house hot sake. Everything was just right. I wouldn't be disappointed if I had the exact same experience next time I go there. P. S. Recommend sharing the hot sake with someone, I ended up drinking the whole thing and was rolling 😁

Consistently good sushi. We eat here every month. Sushi dishes are really good. Fish is fresh. I never had bad experience here. Also, if you like uni, this is the only place in town to get good quality uni. I have paid much more in fancier restaurants for much worse quality. We always have to get multiple orders when we come here. They have other cooked dishes as well (Korean food). But I am usually too full to try. Maybe next time. They also have my fav dessert, which is fried icecream. Yummmmmm!

First time eating here (takeout) and i was not disappointed. Every bite was so delicious, I’m adding this to one of my top sushi places in Philly. I’m happy I tried it out and next time I’ll also look into the non sushi options. As for sushi, I recommend!!

-vegetable spring rolls
-avocado roll
-salmon entree

All were delectable. The soup and calamari were to die for.

I went to Fuji Mountain for a lunch by myself on a work day. The building is easy to walk by, so make sure you can an eye out for the small purple flag spouting "Fuji" on it. I ordered a salmon bento box, which came with Miso Soup. The food was good, except for the Sushi that was provided which had hard avocado in it. The salmon was cooked well and tasted great, similar for the pot stickers and salad. I recommend this place for moderately priced work lunch.

First night in Philly and the bar has been set very high. So charming and everything was delicious!
