I've never been here but I'm a Sufi and I read about Bawa Muhayadeen (Ral) and it was really the same teaching as our Awliyah came here in the Philippines in 1380 that spreaded Islam and all other gurus who spreaded Islam around the world 🤎 those who Rated 1 star are just wahabis they don't have any reason at all they just know nothing about DHINUL FITRAH.

This is a very nice place. Humble people with big hearts. Sufi Islam is not religion: but Spirituality. There is a difference. The Ascended Masters of Ancient Times were Spiritual.

Baba Muhyaddin رحمة الله عليه

Those questioning sufism, does lack knowledge of spiritualism and purification of heart. These man of Allah, lived his life to please Allah and his Rasul ﷺ. Led and invited people towards Islam even though he didn’t speak their language. Humanity, gnosis (marifah), cleansing your inner being is the essential aspect of Islam, an important branch and subject of Islam. Companions were greatest sufis on the face of earth. Every act of kindness, saving lives, feeding poor, giving charity and not to have bad mouth about fellow Muslim is Sufism. So those posting against this Wali of Allah are merely connected to 100 years old wahabism extremism. Fear Allah!

A spiritual peaceful haven in a world so cold and bitter. They treat you exceptionally well and offer free Islamic classes and vegetarian meals. Very peaceful place to remember God and escape from the worldly affairs.

I’ve been in masajid/mosques around the world (Egypt, Tunisia, Thailand, D.C. to name a few) yet there’s something felt here I haven’t felt anywhere else. With or without the people, there seems to be something here that only the heart understands and I feel blessed to feel it.

sacred. genuine caring giving loving community of fellowship and faith. no dogmatism. true giving and living. space architurally designed by Bawa Muhaiyaddeen personally, masterpiece, without superficial artifice. beautiful, peaceful, welcoming. what every community of faith should be, about people, about the humanity of humanity, not conformaty but taking care of others, center of learning

Drove from Toronto straight to Overbrook location, was greeted with peace and compassion beyond what I was expected. The atmosphere is exactly what should a fellowship and love of God should be. Then drove to the tomb site.
Exquisite peace for the mind and soul, to reconnect with the above.
I would recommend this spiritual journey to all those who question life in general or their own at this moment.

This is a sufi place of worship and cultural centre. The people here are very nice and welcoming regardless of your religious orientation. I went here to learn more about Bawa who is regarded as a sufi master. His writings and teachings preach a universal message of love and unity. If you are interested in sufism or seeking answers to existential questions, you may find them here according to your disposition. I was shown around by Suleiman who was very helpful and explained the history of the place and told me about his interaction with Bawa. I would reccomend a visit if you are interested in sufism and want to know more about it.

This is the hidden truth thought at its purest form but a true man of wisdom. A truth exposed to the world but hidden to those who don’t recognize it and they will go searching for it somewhere else.
What a mystery.

if looking for the mosque go around the right side to the second building in the back. other doors are locked until meeting times. vegetarian meals r served ($ donation) on Sunday and at dinner time if there is a meeting, check the website for meeting times. international crowd with people from every corner of the planet there. if u are curious about Sufism or Islam email them and they will try to get someone to show u around. feel like u don't quite fit at other mosques or are just not uber religious check out this place it very come as u r, except u prolli should bring clothing to cover ur arms and legs.

This Mosque is beautiful and peaceful.
It welcomes all who want to worship Allah. Students and visitors come from the Greater Philadelphia community to learn about Islam. It is true that some of the High School and College visitors come with improper jibahs or scarves but regular visitors and members dress
modestly. Salaams are given after the Sunnah Prayers and after Salawat to the Nabi (Sal.). Mothers with crying children are asked to pray in the Mosque classroom directly below the Mosque to protect the Prayers and Focus on Allah of all the Congregation.
