The Continental Mid-town

This is another fabulous Starr restaurant! The entrance is wheelchair accessible and an elevator can take you to each floor. The wheelchair accessible bathroom is located in the basement. There are 3 other floors. The outdoor dining contains outdoor seating and covered seating. There is also a living room lounge style seating in the covered patio area.

The food is really good with a wide variety of options. The chicken parm only comes with the meat. You must order noodles separately. The Korean BBQ chicken also does not come with any sides. These are ordered separately. The desserts were delicious and very filling.

If your looking for a casual but funky cool place to get good food this is the place. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and If you've made reservations you are seated promptly. this place has a two story seating area with a sunk in eating area with a artistic chandler. If you request a booth very comfortable you can see the View off the street and the entire restaurant. Let's get to the food. My party of 4 have different taste so I was glad they were able to cover everyones palate. From Appetizer: corn fries to main courses of Cheesesteak egg rolls, Tuna poke bowl,Lobster Mac& Cheese, and the Killer Curry Shrimp to dessert ..ALL delish!! When I make a trip to Philly I always look for a place that's unique and fun and has good food Continental covered all !! I will be back.

The Continental Midtown restaurant and bar was the place we been meaning to go to since the Covid-19. We actually tried to get an outdoor table during that time but it was super booked. However, it is well worth the wait. This multi-story restaurant has two levels up on the bottom floor and a rooftop bar and restaurant area. We were fortunate enough to end up in the bar area so I kept trying out the elevator and we sent outside. It was comfortable even though the night was very cool as they have radiated heat.

Everything was excellent! Our waitress was so much fun and really made a lot of good recommendations. The cocktails are exceptional in the beer (although from a can) they do not serve beer on tap was great. My daughter had the pastrami fried rice, and wife had the shrimp tempura, killer shrimp. Everything was tasty, fresh and hot.

Some things to note: The accessible restroom is in the lower level and you will need to take the elevator to get there. In addition, I strongly recommend making a reservation this place is super busy. Even when we made our reservation we had to settle for a later time. So the earlier the better. Good eats! Have fun! Best BBQ pork tacos you'll ever experience. Cheesesteak egg rolls flavorful,very filling, and with the same high quality steak you'd expect from any respected cheesesteak spot in the city. Again, the tacos literally explode with flavor. You get these two items you can't go wrong.

I've been here twice for brunch. Once on the rooftop(great photo ops) and downstairs on the main level. Both experiences were more than great. The music is always on point, playing some of the songs that take you back in time to those carefree years. I've tried the cheeseteak egg rolls, brussel sprouts, Korean fried chicken, pastrami fried rice, and chilaquiles, and it was all top tier!! Let's not forget about those mimosas either. Had me feeling good! It's always a dope time here and one of the best things is you can split the chick electronically using the qr code on the receipt, so no asking for split checks!!

Everything about this place is fantastic. The decor is unique and fun and every server we have had has gone the extra mile. The food is consistently fantastic. The lobster mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and flavorful, and the korean fried chicken is moist and fried perfectly. This is another place that is a must visit whenever I’m in town!

We went in here for dinner with a group of 4 people. The place has amazing ambience with their interior and lightning. They also have cute hanging swing type seatings available. Good drinks and delicious food. Their Scezhuan Shoestring Fries from their menu is an interesting pick to try out. Highly recommend to try their signature dish, Lobster Mac & Cheese. We also tried their Shrimp Pad Thai and Faro Risotto (good consistency and flavor).
We tried their Banana Creme Brulee from the dessert menu and absolutely loved it! The banana layered over rich creamy custard was perfect to end the night.

Absolutely love the atmosphere here! And the food! So delicious! I have eaten some different dishes here and have need had any complaints. Especially the lobster Mac and cheese and my all time favorite the steak with wasabi and butter 💜

Awesome spot with great service, fun atmosphere, and a unique menu. My niece raved about the burger. My mom and I shared the pastrami fried rice which was a delicious surprise. I wasn't expecting how well the flavor combinations come together with the scallions, pastrami, and mustard sauce. The portions are huge! Definitely a go-to spot.

This was the first time I've been there. I love the atmosphere!!! Soft lighting comfortable seating and music in the background. The food was delicious 😋

My husband and I met my in-laws and his sister. The interior was very cool. Hip might be a better work. We sat upstairs on an outdoor deck. We ordered a bunch of different items and shared amongst the 5 of us. It was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was a favorite of mine. My husband really loved the shoestring fries. I am excited to go back again. The service was wonderful. I loved the lobster Mac and was surprised to find it was rice. Very glad of it. The French onion soup dumplings were absolutely perfect. The recommendation to pull them out and let them cool was very helpful. Everything we tried was enjoyed.

Our service was very good. The food was also good. The menu was very limited for lunch but we were able to all find something to eat with no complaints. I had the El Chapo cocktail and it was actually delicious, smokey goodness. Pictured is the tuna tostada that was killer.

Oh my goodness this place is AMAZING! From the outside it looks like just another diner… but when you walk inside it’s like the Jetsons! The tables upstairs are fire 🔥 and their decor is super jazzy
They’ve got a super varied menu. Quesadillas, tacos, tostadas, poke bowls, pad thai, dumplings, you name it!

Super fun vibe! Great experience and really delicious food! We ended up being a little late because of traffic but they still held our reservation with no problem.

We went to the Continental Mid-town on Saturday for drinks & apps before the flower show and we were highly satisfied with our meal! Our server was very sweet and attentive for how busy the restaurant was. Attached are some photos of our drinks, the Korean fried chicken, the French onion soup dumplings, cheesesteak egg rolls, and the continental salad. We cannot stop talking about the Korean fried chicken! Everything was tasty & we look forward to coming back again soon.

Dinner at the Continental was a very nice experience. The shoestring fries were a great appetizer . I got the NY Strip steak and it was very good. Another person in my family loved the lobster Mac and Cheese. For dessert the Brookie with ice cream was incredible! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food, great atmosphere. Went with a group and got many different plates which we shared. Very friendly staff, who put up with our group. 10/10 recommend. A bit on the higher end of price for what they serve, but at least it's good.

Great atmosphere, a Philly classic. Summertime upstairs or down it's afterwork and weekend fun. Bar is very good but a bit more limited than I would expect, they do a good gin ensemble though. Servers are adorable and the layout is still cool after these years. Bathroom situation is super sketch, but it's from a time when this is the way it was. Worth a trip.

Love love my new favorite in town! First visited in restaurant week and the food was amazing as well as the service! Love how they didn’t skimp on restaurant week portion sizes and they were serving food that is on their regular menu too if u ever want to go back! A new go-to with cute interior, their second floor has swing chairs which is a cute date spot. They also have a bar upstairs. It can get pretty crowded during dinner time so always make a reservation. I never thought to try their food until recently because the exterior looked like they served American diner food, but boy was I wrong. A diverse menu with amazing Italian risotto to teriyaki salmon! their food is so good, good portion sizes and always a good time there. 10/10 would recommend! Also, their banana creme brûlée please get it, so well balanced. Haven’t been impressed by a restaurant in so long!

This was one of the best most delicious restaurants I've ever been to! The soup dumplings were amazing. The Korean fried chicken was great. The lobster pop tart was amazing. And I had a drink called the smoking section which was so delicious I had to have a second! This is a really cool restaurant with great service as well. My kids loved it as well. I highly recommend it! 👌
