Came across a vintage Ibanez years ago and never did anything with it. I read the great reviews on here and can say Rick more than exceeded my expectations. Amazing set up job. Replaced the tuners. The guitar came to with me with super glue on the finish and he was even able to remove that. If it is possible to do TOO good of a job, Rick has done that because now I want all my guitars to play like this.

He’s also great to talk with and has great stories. Stop by and get your guitars set up!

Rick is awesome. Great guy and his work is second to none. Had Rick work on three of my guitars and he nailed it! Highly recommend!! The latest project was nothing short of perfection- a brand new, one off build from scratch that I designed and built but it was Rick who got everything into spec. Because of his work it is the best guitar I have ever handled.
UPDATE: 6/12/19- Another outstanding job by Rick. This time (my 4th guitar Rick has worked on) Rick transformed a 2012 Classic Vibe 50's Squier into another amazing playing guitar. Check him out- not only are you supporting local business- but you WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks again Rick!

I've been taking my amps and guitars to Rick for over a decade. I took my Mesa Boogie in several times for odd things like broken speak jack, spring reverb not working, tubes issues, etc. Always greeted with a smile. I look forward to seeing him every couple years for whatever I need fixed. Personable, friendly and knows his stuff!

Rick did set up work on my PRS Hollowbody. He finished the work earlier than promised and did a beautiful job. My guitar now plays great! He went over everything with me and even taught me how to make small adjustments myself. Super nice guy, great work, and very reasonably priced!

I took 4 of my guitars to Rick for repairs and maintenance and I am so happy with his work. Had what could have been a serious break starting in my SG’s headstock and he was able to perfectly repair it. I wish I knew about him sooner, and will be taking more of my gear to him. A true professional. Thank you Rick!

Brought in a Mojotone Tweed Deluxe that I built and had unexpected 120Hz hum. I tried so many different things to fix the issue, but couldn't crack the nut. Rick was able to identify that the issue lied in the output transformer and now this amp is quiet at idle, but awesome cranked. Rick is a cool guy who has an amazing music background with great stories. Came for the amp, hung out for the stories, left happy. Highly recommend

Rick did an awesome job on my 75 Princeton Reverb! It was having intermittent issues with the reverb and would randomly drop volume. Rick diagnosed the issue quickly and did an awesome fix. Super happy he’s in the area! Such a helpful and friendly guy. Excited to work with him in the future.

Rick is the best. Very thorough and knowledgeable about all kinds of musical equipment. Really went above and beyond with diagnosing some issues with an amp I brought in for service. Just a great guy doing great work.

Extremely quick, kind and effective in his work, I appreciate Rick’s wealth of knowledge and his willingness to share it. I will not be taking any of my guitars anywhere else for repairs in the future.

I have been going to Rick since the early 90’s and have had nothing but great experiences. He has repaired equipment ( amplifiers, guitars and effects boxes) that other people could not diagnose properly to repair. He is knowledgeable and efficient and demonstrates ultimate customer service, respecting people’s time and equipment. He takes time to explain things and charges fair, reasonable prices. There is nowhere else I would take my equipment to. Sam Esposito.

Rick's service exceeded all expectations. He finished working with my 3 instruments way ahead of schedule, he corrected a bridge issue that every previous tech had missed, his pricing was musician-friendly, and he saved me more money by showing me how I could do a simple repair myself. What more can you ask?

So glad I brought my guitar to get repaired by Rick! I was having some issues with the electronics of my acoustic-electric Ibanez (sound dropping out when plugged in), as well as a crack on the neck that I just never got repaired. I was worried it would be too expensive and I may not be able to afford having it repaired, however Rick was very reasonable and explained his plan for the whole process. He gave me a very accurate estimate and taught me some added helpful tips about guitar maintenance. He’s very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. We’ll be coming back to Rick for any instrument tune ups or needs in the future.

Rick has worked on many guitars and amps for me and his work is top quality with meticulous attention to detail. His prices are fair and reasonable as well. Although I live 45 minutes away it’s worth the drive. As a matter of fact I’ll be in again soon. Thanks! - Will

I recently purchased a Xaviere XV-500pro which is a les Paul copy you can only purchase at guitarfetish.com. Already knowing I would have to spend a little more to get it up to par I had a friend who recommended Rick at main line music for their superb fret work. Let me just say for a guitar that cost $269 and it only needed fret and level job, main line music did an excellent job on the guitar, it is definitely right up there with a Gibson les Paul now, unbelievable how it plays now, totally satisfied on the work they did, highly recommend these guys! Looking at taking another one of my guitars there for a little work. Very happy!

I took my Martin acoustic guitar in for service to get the action lowered, straighten the neck, and seal a crack on the back of the neck. The guitar was pretty much unplayable and did not sound too good for whatever reason. Rick brought my guitar back to life! The guitar ended up sounding better than ever it's astonishing, and it's even more enjoyable to play with. I am very impressed with his fine attention to detail and very satisfied with his service.

Just had my guitar set up and new pickups put in at Rick's store. He also helped me with a non-typical switch setup where I can add a middle pickup with a two-way switch. Rick knows a lot about guitars, music and guitar players and is also friendly and fun to talk to. I fully recommend him and Mainline Music, I'd have given six stars if that were possible.

Rick is a true pro when it comes to his craft.....You can take your gear to a "music store" and get the 5 year repair-person or you can go to Rick: a proven master at his craft. As a former professional player years ago, my ear and feel are quite particular; borderline fussy and Rick provided the best setup I have ever had on my Fender Stratocaster. He is a busy guy, so be polite and look forward to watching a master craftsman at work. I look forward to future exchanges.

Best place by far to get work done. I would not go anywhere else. Rick is an expert at what he does and is very friendly. He completely overhauled the proprietary electronics in my guitar and I could not be happier with how it turned out. 5/5

Great music store! Rick is very helpful and can fix anything. He was very efficient, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what he was doing. I fully recommend using Rick for all your guitar-related needs and more.

I’m a fairly new musician and dropped my bass off at Rick’s for a proper setup. Before I get into the work, let me just say that Rick was a pleasure to deal with. What I thought would be a 5-minute visit to drop off my instrument turned into a half-hour music history lesson on the S. Jersey 80’s bar scene. I could have hung out with him all day.

As far as the craftsmanship, I had a wicked bend in my neck that rendered my bass nearly unplayable. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve gotten in back and I cannot overstate how much it feels like I’m playing an entirely different instrument. The tone and feel have taken leaps and bounds! 5 stars are for the superb work. I’d add more for being an honest, friendly and interesting dude.
