One of my spots for authentic African food, I tried it and had no regrets. Food is delicious and the portions are unbelievable, platters are enough for 2 people. The older gentleman, who I believe is the owner is very friendly and welcoming.

I googled a place to get Fufu and stumbled across this beautiful restaurant. Amazing food but something I loved was that the place was very family oriented. It was my first time but I will definitely be back. I peeked in the kitchen and it was very clean. The space is large. No dine ins as it was a bit late. Overall the customer service was THE BEST!!!!!!

I’ve been coming here for years. I always ask for the Nigerian lady. She cooks the best meals. I like efo riro and goat meat or fried fish. I also get a nice cup of ataya tea while I eat. This is definitely one of the best African food spots in Philadelphia

This restaurant was featured in the hospital I work at and I ended up getting it 3 days in a row because it was so good! I had the chicken, salmon, shrimp, jollof rice, and fried plantains and it was all delicious. My favorite was the chicken!! Definitely recommend this place and will be stopping by the restaurant in the future

The food is outstanding. I’ve tried dishes I haven’t heard of or thought of for the first time and they were all amazing. The chefs passion and experience and expression really shows through the food.

Excellent food and service, the food was delightful. We ordered Egusi soup with fish and fufu as a side dish, and it was the best meal I ever have. I strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Authentic African food and Nigerian Food menu. I also saw options for people who want something American. Food is in great quantity. Quick service. We ordered; Ayamase stew with white rice, Fish peppersoup with white rice, Amala and gbegiri. All meals were delicious and smoking hot. Especially the amala.
Location is not best, but it’s Philly 🤷🏽‍♂.

As soon as I walk in I felt positive hospitality. After ordering my cassava leaves, I was given a cup of hot and delightful tea. Before taking a picture of my order, I couldn't help myself to a bite or two. May I say it was promising with it spicy, flavorful, and beefy deliciousness. If you have a sinus problem, it can knock that right out. JL Jupiter was right, if you love african food this place is a must visit.

First time being in this area and was looking for something good to eat. I had actually stopped by another place a couple blocks up but couldn't decide on what to order as 1. I have never had African food before and 2. Their menu had names of plates but no descriptions or pictures. I did another search of places that was near me and African Small Pot came up. The stars and reviews were excellent so I decided to check out their menu. I was so impressed by their menu as it had the names of plates, descriptions AND PICTURES! So I was able to see what the names of these foods were. I called and ordered the Dibi Lamb with plantains for pick up. The gentleman on the phone was very help with answering my questions. I drove over and it was a small little spot with maybe about 8-10 small table with chairs for dining in. The gentleman instantly knew it was me and asked if I was the one who called. He explained the meal again and went to the back and cooked it up. About 10 minutes later he brought it out nice and hot in an aluminum pan for my review. Presentation is everything and I could tell by the looks that it was going to be as good as it looked. We small talked about what brought me to the area and he offered me a small (sample) cup of African sweet tea. It was a hot tea sweetened and sooo good! Getting back to my hotel I couldn't wait to try the Dibi and plantains. First bite to the last I was pleasantly impressed with the food. It was seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. If I wasnt leaving in the morning I would go back to try another dish. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. I stayed near the airport which was about 15 minutes away from the African Small Pot. Great service and food!

Loved every bite of the potato leaf with rice and tilapia. Having lived and traveled in West Africa, I was looking for a meal made with love, and this delivered! Not only was it made with love, it was served with it, too. The meal started with ataya (tea), and cola nuts once we asked if there were any around. The portions were HUGE and leftovers are a definite unless you haven’t eaten all day. The spice level was perfect for me. Wonderful and welcoming service. I will be back!

For the longest time, I’ve ordered African Small Pot delivered from UberEats. I lovvvvveeeeeee the Yassa Fish and the Goat with Jollof rice 😍😍😍. I’ve gone in person a couple times and truly feel loved and cared for in addition to enjoying the amazing food! And the African green tea is absolutely incredible.
